Noah swiftly grasped Diana's wrist just before she touched his skin.
His icy gaze stunned her. He could see her eyes blink in disbelief.
"S-Sir, you... didn't want...?" Her voice was shaky, filled with uncertainty.
"I'm sorry, Diana! I don't like trash like you to touch me." Noah said icily, his tone so cold it made Diana feel like a statue, unable to move.
He pushed Diana's hand away and walked to the glass wall to gather his thoughts and think more clearly.
He watched her standing there, frozen in place, staring toward him, yet her eyes refused to meet his. He could tell that she must look terrified now.
A thought crossed his mind.
'Does Diana know who I am? Could that be why she dared to come here, putting her job on the line?'
Noah clearly remembered that his identity was top secret. No one knew about it except for the Golden Phoenix Group's management, one of whom had been removed.
But why does a receptionist like Diana even know about him?
"Now tell me, are you aware of my true identity?" Noah asked icily.
"I'm sorry, Sir, but what do you mean? I'm afraid I don't quite understand. I'm not that smart."
Her eyes blinked, still trying too hard and too apparent to seduce him.
'What an unprofessional gold digger! More like a whore! Does she think I was a thoughtless, horny man? How dare you!?' Noah could only laugh to himself.
He was lucky he had leveled up to Power Level 1 and gained resistance to mental manipulation; otherwise, he might have fallen under Diana's sensual and attractive charm.
"Your naivete and presumptuous nature amused me, Diana. Unfortunately for you, I know exactly what kind of woman you are!"
Noah said with a smirk, rubbing his eyebrow.
"Now, tell me, who told you about me! And what's your motive? Answer me honestly, and I might forgive or even reward you!"
Noah needs to discover who informed her; he fears that his father's enemy might have sent this woman to exploit his weakness.
He won't give such a chance, especially not to a woman like Diana. No way!
"I…I…am sorry, Sir. I don't mean to seduce you. I'm really sorry. I know you from Mr. W-William Wood. He told me that you are the owner of the Royal Phoenix Hotel..."
Diana's voice shook with fear. She understood that her plan had failed. Now, she feared he might fire her immediately. She needed to think of a way to escape this awkward situation, or she wouldn't have a job tomorrow.
'Fuck! That stupid CEO!' Noah chuckled to himself.
He never thought that Diana was William's mistress. Unsurprisingly, this woman felt confident enough to decline his request to stay in the presidential suite. This is their love nest.
"Sir, I apologize for coming here and bothering you. But I hope to keep you company because I know you are a VIP customer..."
Diana said, approaching him, but she halted when she noticed Noah slightly raise his hand, signaling her to stop.
Her hand clenched tightly and anxiously, and she tried to think faster to convince him.
"I had no other motive, Sir. Let alone harmful motives. I merely wanted to assist you. I promise you, sir, I will never tell anyone about you... Please, I beg you to trust me, Sir," she said softly, her eyes welling with tears.
"Diana! Stop talking!" He shot her an annoyed look. "I don't want to hear another word from you. Don't ever mention me to others. If you do, I guarantee you won't ever get a job anywhere!"
"Si-Sir but—"
"Get out of my sight. Now!" Noah snapped, no longer containing his emotions.
Just as he thought, a notification sounded in his ears—a revenge ledger appeared in his system.
Initially, he intended to call Edgar to request this woman's dismissal; however, the system allows him to earn some extra cash.
This time, he's definitely not going to turn down this opportunity as he did before!
Once he has closed and locked his room, Noah heads back to the living area to check his system.
[Revenge Ledger Updated.]
[Target: Diana Kurt]
[Status: Active]
[Suggested Option: Fired | Transferred to another division | Crush Publicly]
[Bonus: $5,000 | Personnel +2 | Skill +2]
[Would you like to start your revenge? (Y/N)]
Noah smiled when he saw the bonus rewards. Not only was the system adding more money, but he also got another skill point.
He didn't hesitate to choose 'Fired' to punish her.
"What a foolish woman. I have already given you a chance, yet you continue to destroy your fate!" he muttered as he rose from his seat and headed toward the bedroom.
Noah no longer has stamina; he just needs to sleep.
However, when he tried to find his clothes, he didn't see his suitcase in the spot where he had left it.
"Someone moves it?"
After searching, he finally found it in the walk-in closet. Just before he wanted to take out his old suitcase, Noah was shocked to see many new clothes neatly arranged inside one of the wardrobes.
All the clothing fits him perfectly. Everything he needs from head to toe is neatly organized there.
They aren't just new; they originate from renowned brands that can only be purchased by the wealthy and celebrities.
"Why are these clothes here?"
Noah pondered, scratching his head. He couldn't recall purchasing any of this. When he wanted to check his system to see if he had received those rewards, his cell phone rang, distracting him.
After putting on the pajamas he found in the closet, he hurried to the office table in the corner and was surprised to see Edgar's name there.
"Edgar?"
"Sir, I apologize for calling you this late..."
"It's okay," Noah answered as he walked to the glass window to see the city scenery below. "What is it, Edgar?"
"I wanted to let you know I've arrived in the capital. Also, I forgot to mention that I bought new clothes for you. I hope it's the right size."
"Ah, it's you who purchased it..." Noah smiled. Shopping was never his favorite; he wasn't fond of it, but Edgar really did a great job helping him.
"Thank you, Edgar; everything is great. And it fits me just right."
"I'm pleased to hear that." Edgar chuckled softly on the other end. "Sir, I've just been informed that you wanted to terminate Diana Kurt?"
"Yes. That awful woman knows about my identity from William Wood. Make sure she didn't mention it to anyone else!" Noah instructed.
"Consider it done, Sir. I will take care of her."
"Thank you. I appreciate it. Is there anything you want to update me on?" Noah asked, rubbing his neck.
"Yes, I'm calling you about White Group..." Edgar's voice sounded serious. "They will face short-term financial difficulties, and their stock is falling to its lowest point, with no buyers..."
Noah listened to everything Edgar updated him on. He felt satisfied to hear about the progress, but Edgar's following sentence shocked him.
"We lost Ryan White—"
