A frown appeared on Lucas Graham's face, and for a while, he seemed to be thinking about something deeply before he glanced at Noah again.
"But I saw on the news how warmly your grandfather welcomed you at Jeremy's funeral..." he expresses doubt.
"Uncle, to be honest with you, what you saw on the news was the first time he truly accepted me as his grandson. And, I didn't feel genuine sincerity from him..." Noah confesses.
He didn't want to hide this from Lucas Graham because he knew that if this man tried to investigate, he would see the truth.
And he hadn't intended to become this man's enemy, not yet. He can't confront him now; he needs to find the right moment to do that.
"I'm surprised to hear that, Noah. So, was Alexander just putting on a show at the funeral?"
"Yes, Uncle...That's what I saw and felt."
"Bwahaha...I'm glad I didn't attend the funeral."
Lucas Graham's booming laugh echoed in the car for a few more seconds before he continued speaking.
