Chapter 15 - Punishments

The teacher shouted in anger, demanding the students to explain what had happened.

The first thing he had seen upon entering the class was Wang Ming lying on the floor, blood splattered around him.

The academy strictly prohibited bloody fights and yet, here was a clear violation.

Wang Shui and the others were stunned when they heard the teacher's furious voice.

Wang Shui glanced at the door and, recognizing the figure, quickly calmed himself and bowed respectfully. The others followed him and did the same.

The teacher, still fuming, waved his hand and snapped,

"I asked, what happened here?!"

Hearing his sharp tone again, one of the boys answered in a trembling voice.

He explained everything that had happened with Wang Ming.

As he listened, the teacher's face darkened.

He thought to himself:

"So… the bullying by these clan faction kids has gone this far? They don't even care about academy rules anymore."

He glanced at Wang Shui.

Receiving the glance, Wang Shui lowered his head, already understanding what the teacher must be thinking. His fists clenched in frustration.

The teacher then turned to the boy who had punched Wang Ming, but instead of saying anything, he walked out and returned with two guards.

He looked at them and ordered,

"Take Wang Ming to the clinic for treatment. Immediately."

Both guards bowed respectfully and carried out the order, taking Wang Ming away.

Now alone with the class, the teacher fell into thought:

"Wang Ming is an asset to the clan. His future potential might even surpass mine someday. Behind him stands the clan leader. Wang Shui, on the other hand, has similar talent and his father is a clan elder."

"Wang Shui probably planned to use Wang Ming as a stepping stone to build his own prestige, but he didn't expect this minor bullying to escalate into a bloody fight."

"The best option now… is to find a scapegoat and let Wang Shui go. It's not my place to punish someone like him , I can't afford to offend either of them."

His eyes landed on the boy who had punched Wang Ming.

The boy, seeing the gaze, panicked and said in a trembling voice,

"Teacher, I-I really didn't mean to do it… it wasn't intentional."

He said this, hoping for some understanding from the teacher and support from his friends.

But nothing happened.

The teacher said in a cold tone,

"You will not receive any spiritual stones for the next two months."

And with that, his fate was sealed.

For a newcomer, being cut off from spiritual stones meant no cultivation. Without them, he'd have to work a hundred times harder to reach the same level as someone who did have them.

And with his first-grade talent, his value was already considered low.

He had been sacrificed , a scapegoat.

Anyway, with his current mindset and potential, he was never going to amount to much.

After a short silence, the teacher said,

"Today's class is suspended. You all may leave."
