Chapter 20 - Subduing Celestial Supression Pillar: Racial Heritage!

On a certain part of the Hong clan territory, a massive river flows outwards towards the sea, and the momentum is astonishing.

Three figures stood at the highest point watching the river's might.

"Let's go!" Gu Tian said resolutely.

Plop!

Gu Tian jumped into the river without any hesitation and the only thing left behind was the sound of water splashing.

"Why is this old thing more anxious than me? Can't you just follow the principles of respecting the elderly?" Old master Ye didn't hide his words and Hong Jun clearly heard it.

'Huh! Oh my God! I thought old master Ye was considered older than even Old Gu! What is he up to with his words?' he was indeed interested but slightly.

He looked into the river and with a thought jumped in.

The moment he entered the water, he could feel warm even as he descended further down.

"This place has not changed at all in this year's. Even though the water pressure in this place is not small, and can crush those without enough physical strength, the water is warm." He was clearly happy about this.

After swimming all the way, he was able to locate the entrance to the ruins. It was a massive gate that resembled a star gate.

It had a lot of unique symbols and golden lines spreading all over it.

"Entrance to the ruins is still intact." He thought as he approached the gate.

Without hesitation he swam over and passed through the gate.

The water was blocked outside the strange gate incapable of passing by a strange irresistible force.

His first time in this place, he was shocked and the same was true for Gu Tian and Old master Ye. Now the three acted as though it wasn't a big deal, as they stood just before the entrance and looked into the vast world before them.

"I've never looked at this place closely before. Now that I do, I just realized this is no different from a complete world righ!" He looked up and could see a desolate sky. The sky had turned red and he didn't know why, but just looking he could tell this was not natural.

"What kind of disaster happened in this place to turn into into such a state? Look at the red thunder flashing in the sky from time to time." He wasn't the only one that was observing the scenery.

"Let's go!" Gu Tian didn't seem interested in the scenic atmosphere. He wanted to see if they could secure more resources not just for himself but also his granddaughter.

She had some talent and he thought it was best to let her have something to do rather than sit at home all day in a daze after what she had experienced.

"Hold on!" Hong Jun remembered what he had been told by Su Qingqin before their departure.

"What is it clan master?" Old master Ye asked.

"Well! Where it the direction of the lake you mentioned from before. I'm curious about it. More importantly, I think it is best if each of us took a different path to seek opportunities. We should converge after the end of every day and then make plans ahead for the next day." Hong Jun wasn't being particularly honest.

"Huh!" The old men clearly also felt this words made sense while had some lies in them. It was just that they didn't care. The ruins had a lot of resources, even though it was not easy to get good thing without passing through danger, they didnt think it would a problem to survive for three days.

"Clan Master! I think it is not a good idea. Let's move together as it might be for the best." Gu Tian and Old Master Ye didn't agree.

He thought they each where eager to enter this place and would move separately, but that didn't seem the case.

"Since you want to see our limit the last time we came, Old Gu and I will lead you there. It is not just for convinien but also to guard against any unexpected development." Hong Jun had almost forgoten that he was the Clan master.

Based on the changes he had already put in place in the teritorry under him, prestige was already starting to grow among inhabitants.

Perhaps in his eyes it might seem as though he had just done small things, but that was not the case, especially among the older generation.

"Okay! I'll do as you say." The three walked towards the direction of the water body.

Obstacles encountered along the way where easily dealt with by the three until they finally arrived at the destination.

He then turned his head to see an expression of fear in the old men's eyes.

They had no intention of moving forward, but he ignored this. He turned his head over, and could see what appeared as clear as water surface.

Only he felt a strange force, it kept intensifying the fears in one's heart.

"Is this the reason this old guys refused to even mention this issue? Sure enough, just as wife had predicted this should be some kind of artifact." He thought as he moved forward.

Even though he was moving, he realized the distance wasn't reducing in the slighest but became further.

"Since this is some artifact, there is a way to counter this situation. But Wife only told me to be sincere and maintain my heart before making sure to use my blood if necessary to forge a bond." He didn't think much about it and sat down.

"Since movement can't solve the issue, then I won't move." He thought as he closed his eyes and stopped paying attention to all that was happening around him.

When his mind calmed down, he was surprisingly shocked to discover himself standing before a massive heaven reaching pillar.

Without much thought, he raised his had to touch the pillar before him.

'Huh! Celestial suppression Pillar?' when this name appeared in his mind, he had yet to digest everything when he felt weak all over and collapsed on the ground.

His face has become pale, and the reflective water surface before them receeded, until a shiny glass like pillar half a meter tall was left in place.

Old master Ye and Gu Tian where still in a daze as the change came too abruptly. The pressure acting on them.

"This!..." Old Gu was in shock and turned to look at Old master Ye. It was just that the old man was not much different from him in the moment.
