"Why do you look sad?" I couldn't help but ask.
"Because the sweets were her younger sister's favourite, and ever since her death, Lydia has always had these with her. So it meant a lot for her to give us her sweets. It shows that she really saw us as sisters."
Our steps slowed. I never knew the sweets were that important to her. It made me question my stance. I had been focused on getting my own followers, but I just realised that I didn't want to play with their emotions. They have shown me nothing but love and kindness. At least I should reciprocate their acts by being genuine with them.
