one day when Axel was training in the training grounds, improving his skills in combat and strategies in countering moves. His foster father, Leo, came to check on him, he stood afar watching axel as he train his footwork, then, after an hour, axel took a break and saw Leo, he ran towards him with excitement and asks him.
"Can I go to the forest to greatly train and hone my body?" axel puts up a smile and pleading look.
Leo couldn't say no to the boy but the forest is dangerous for such a young kid.
"Fine, but remember to always be moderate in doing things and keep out with enemies that you can't handle ok?" He told Axel with a worried look in his face.
"I promise" He told Leo with a smile on Axel's face.
"I'll be going now" Axel said while running to change his clothes, while Leo stood there watching axel runs towards the mansion, he couldn't help but to smile and be worried.
"How can i handle this kid?" Leo sighed while looking at the sky remembering Axel's father.
"Like father, Like son. I think?" Leo sighed with a smile and starts walking towards the mansion.
Inside the mansion, Axel was greeted by norm, Emberhart's head butler.
"Good Morning, Master Axel" He bowed gracefully, "It seems that you're in a hurry?, what got you so excited, young master?" norm asks with a curious look.
"Oh norm, didn't see you there" Axel stopped and took a breathed because of all those running.
"I was just given a permission to go to the forest, father gave me a nod and some advice" while inhaling and exhaling simultaneously.
"Well it seems that it got you so excited, but don't you know that the forest is too dangerous for you, master?" norm is worried for Axel's safety but Axel scoffs it off and even put on a confident smile.
"Don't worry, I can handle this, see?" flexing his muscles and well-toned body.
"there's nothing to worry about, norm. Don't worry I'll be fine" tapping his shoulder while walking away.
"If you say so master, then I shall cease my worry." norm bowed while Axel walks away.
After an hour of preparation, Axel is ready for his first expedition in the forest, he prepared a bag and some tools for hunting and some potions, after walking down the stairs, he saw his foster older brother's waiting anxiously downstairs.
They saw Axel and rans towards him, hugging him and not letting him go.
"Why do you need to go to the forest? Are you bored being alone?" Lison hugs axel tight while being worried.
"We're sorry if we always neglect you, it's because we're always busy with work, we promise next time to allot a time for you" Melvon said while rubbing Axel's head.
Axel smiled and assured them "Don't worry, I'll be fine and be back in one piece." assuring them that he'll be fine alone.
"But....." He got interrupted by Leo, "Let him be, he wants to explore the estate Afterall" he smiled and let him be.
The forest of defentril, a rocky hill and vast trees with monsters that devours each other, while traversing the whole forest. Axel saw an A rank black wolf together with it's pack travelling to find a prey.
"Let's follow it first and discover it's lair" axel followed the pack behind and it led to a cave that is omitting with dangerous mana, axel became cautious and placed some barrier around the cave and the near trees to ensure his safety, then he went inside.
When inside, He saw some rare herbs and minerals, he picked them up and collected them until he reached the very end where he heard a heavy fight from a certain distance, he hid behind a rock and saw the pack of wolf attacking a gargantuan spider, which the wolf's are at a disadvantage but for axel, this is an opportunity, it's like killing two birds with one stone.
He waited for a while, some of the wolf's were killed leaving only the pack leader, then axel thought of something and immediately attacked the spider by launching a fireball to it's feet making it difficult to move, then he trapped the wolf in a barrier and instantly roped the spider with a tread, tightening it, snapping the head of the spider and he let his shadow to devour it and even it's core which made him stronger, then he turn to the wolf, being wary of him. Axel assures the wolf that he mean no harm and healed it's injuries, the wolf released it's hostility but still wary of him, so Axel found a way to persuade the wolf and made him it's pet.
After minutes of persuasion, Axel manage to make the wolf his pet and named it vex, now being a named monster, Vex evolved into a supreme wolf, that enables him to call fort hundreds of wolfs and command them, vex uses his skill "order" and roared loud making it heard by other wolfs and gathered towards vex, 50 wolfs came and bowed it's head to vex, their new leader. in turn, vex bowed it's head to Axel as it's master. Axel being satisfied, accepted vex's offer and fosters his kin inside his shadow.
"Now you may appear before me through my shadow, Vex" while rubbing vex's head, the wolf bark in approval and disappeared in Axel's shadow.
"Now then, shall we venture once more? or turn back home?" axel asks himself.
