As I laid in bed, I couldn't help giving a sigh.
The things that Solomon…No, he had renamed himself Faust after being turned into a lich…The things that Faust went through really were pitiful.
If it wasn't for those necromancers, then he would have been in the Magic Tower by now.
But because of those necromancers, he had been turned into a lich that was doomed to lurk in the shadows.
If possible, I should think of a way to help him.
However, that wasn't the time right now.
"Young master, sorry to keep you waiting."
As soon as I heard this, a smile appeared on my face and I threw out all thoughts that I had about Faust. I could only apologize to him since there were two twins that were dressed in maid uniforms with miniskirts that were waiting for me.
Even though we've done it quite a few times now, I never got tired of them.
How could I get tired of twins?
But I didn't get to enjoy being with them as there was the sound of approaching footsteps that rang out.
"Bang!"
Just as urgent as the footsteps, the door was suddenly pushed open and a servant came in.
The two maids that had been in front of my bed were surprised before quickly running to the side to cover themselves.
At the same time, I was naturally annoyed that someone had interrupted my fun time, "What is the meaning of this?"
The servant trembled when he heard my voice, but he still took a deep breath and said, "Young master, the lord is looking for you."
I couldn't help slightly knitting my brows when I heard this.
I naturally knew who he was referring to when he called them lord, but I hadn't been expecting to meet with him. In fact, he shouldn't even be at the manor right now since there were matters to handle in the capital.
With this same look, I asked, "What is my father looking for me for?"
The servant shook his head as if he didn't dare say anything, but it was also clear that he didn't know. He had just been sent to call me, it wasn't as if he actually needed to know anything.
So I just got up and followed him with a sigh.
But there was a slightly worried look that was on my face as I followed behind the servant.
It didn't make sense that this father of mine would suddenly come back like this.
When we arrived at the study, the servant stayed outside while opening the door for me.
I gave a nod in his direction before going in to find that the father of this body was sitting there.
This was Count Hellard Redmont.
He had the same good looks as this body and even though he looked older, he looked like an older brother rather than a father.
To the side was a beautiful woman who looked like she was still in her twenties, even though she already had a child. This was the mother of this body, Countess Judith Redmont.
When I came in, the two of them immediately looked at me.
However, I couldn't read anything from the looks on their faces since they looked at me with neutral expressions.
Even the clues around the room weren't there as they had just been sitting there without anything out. It seemed that they had been talking about something before this, but they stopped when I came in.
So I could only awkwardly say, "Father, mother, is there something that you need from me?"
The two of them didn't say anything as they just looked at me with the same expression on their faces.
That caused an awkward feeling to fill the air as I didn't know what they were planning.
Finally, Count Redmont broke the silence by asking, "It seems that you've been sneaking around recently."
I was surprised to hear this since normally he wouldn't mind me doing things like this, but it seemed like he was taking an interest this time.
For him to suddenly take an interest like this, it meant that something must have happened.
Only I had no idea what it was.
"I don't think that I've been doing anything big…" I said as a probe, but it didn't seem like they cared for this. They continued to look at me with the same expressions on their faces.
So in the end, I decided to use one of the things that I had prepared.
Raising my hand, I gathered flames in my palm to show them without saying a word.
When I was done showing off, I said, "I've been learning a bit of magic during this time."
Neither of them said anything, but I could tell that the way that they looked at me had changed.
It was as if they were sizing me up now.
So I didn't do anything as I waited to see what they had to say.
"Do you want to make a place for yourself? Do you want to become someone important?" Count Redmont suddenly asked this question.
"Huh?" I couldn't help being caught off guard by him suddenly asking this.
After all, this was the last thing that I expected him to ask.
However, it seemed that he was serious about this with the expression on his face.
So I slowly shook my head and said, "I have no intentions of raising my position at all. I'm content with my current life."
There was a long silence that lingered in the air, but eventually both of them let out sighs of relief which surprised me.
"We were worried that you wanted to actually become someone important." Countess Redmont suddenly said as if it was a bad thing.
Count Redmont nodded in agreement as he said, "For neutral nobles of average influence like us, it's best if we stay out of sight. I hope that you will remember this when you take over as the count."
It seemed that the two of them had been worried because of the sudden change, but not for the reason that I thought they were worried.
With a smile, I said, "Of course. I have no intention of breaking the status quo."
Both of them reveal relieved looks when they heard this.
