Chapter 7 - The Twins's secret

A desert that spans the horizon. a red sky resembling a painting. Amidst this scenery of this endless plains of dust heat, something could be seen.

Like ants in a playground, a caravan of carts moved. Each trailing behind the other as they were pulled by the pokemons and the riders alike.

Ash sat there on the roof with his oshawott, trying to teach it watergun while he himself constantly pulses the aura in his body, channeling it to every cell within himself.

"The Aura is essense of the soul, of the will that recides within. Unless you can spread to every mm of your body. Until then you can't escape the level of a Apprentice."

Silo, one of the twin elders said to Ash with serious expression. He had been requested by Ash's master to train him during the journey and so he would do with utter devotion.

Ash focused harder trying to spread the aura but, he always fell short. No matter what he tried. he would always fail to do it, it was like as if his body didn't belong to him at times.

"Osha", the little Oshawott senses it's partner's distress and with its young mind, decided to hit Ash with a watergun.

A stream of water shot out of it's mouth, hitting Ash's face straight on and broke his focus. The water gun drenches Ash in water, a relief in the heat of the desert but Ash wasn't pleased.

With face showing a lot bubbling fury, Ash turns to his partner. His hand shooting out like bullet as he grabs his little partner in his hands.

"How many times have I told you to not disturb me!?" He asked with frustration and recieved a confused tilt of head from Oshawott.

Lightly he puts down his partners. Walking to other side of the roof, biting his own clothes as he did. He was in internal turmoil, both in rage and in awe at the innocent cuteness of his partner.

Eventually he just stopped thinking and he laid down, his face turns towards the skies while opted for some rest.

It was at this time, the caravan passed by a small group of sandiles and another crocodile pokemon which felt extremely out of place for him. Turning to side, he scanned it.

"Looking at this way... I don't wanna mess with them." Ash nervously whispers to himself as he backs away back to the Oshawott's side.

The sweating journey Continues. The people shifted their turns for recon as they moved through the desert while the sun still lasted. Occasionally they ran into a group of few sandiles and dusticrocd but nothing some water gun can't stop.

Bit by bit, the sun begins hiding beyond the horizon as the desert was slowly overtaken by chilling winds and cold breezes that caused everyone to shiver.

"PLACE THE TENTS." The twin elders said in sync.

The people heard the order. Immediately getting to work as they brought out a tents from carts and the terrain experts got to work.

The Terrain experts were actually just experienced trainers. They were Survival specialists that have spent enough time in the wild to get used to creating shelter that now it has become their job.

First two people came forward with their pokemons- A Roggenrola and a krokorok. Together they used a variety of moves like rock slide and mud shot to create a somewhat elevated ground.

Then the third person followed up with his sunflora and created vines to hold the rocks together.

And lastly the last one came, a sister monk with her golett that hauled all the tents onto the made terrain where everyone helped set up their own tent.

All except Ash and another kid who were thrown into the same tent as the twin elders like a child being thrown to a daycare.

"This place sucks." The other kid who had grey ruffled hair said while slumping down onto the vine filled ground, " And this cold is making me mad for some reason."

" What if I said this is the easiest part?"

" You must be lying then. No way this gets har-... ELDER VIGO!"

The kid realised mid conversation that it wasn't Ash that was talking and turned to see Vigo's face peeking through the entrance. The sudden shock froze the kid in his tracks.

"You don't surprised by this Ash. Not enough thrill?" Vigo turned to ask Ash instead, ignoring the complaining kid.

Ash sighs, dropping the false mask as he changed to a informal tone, "Don't go acting like some big shot now Vigo. We both know you only got this place because i refused to get a partner."

"Ye ye whatever. *Rolling his eyes* but still you don't seem freaked out like I was."

"Maybe once you try brawling with a Aerofol while falling from the sky... Then 'maybe' you will match me in thrill."

The blanked out kid returns to reality, his ruffled hair shaking like chicken feathers as he failed to comprehend the conversation going on front of him.

Baffled and astonished, he turns to the Ash with a face of disbelief. "Those weren't just stories? I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS" he yells, his brain getting hit a breakdown.

Ash turns to Oshawott, "Slap him." He calmly told it.

Oshawott smiles, it's eyes sparkling the stars as it jumps and down in joy. It grabs its shell and turns to kid while making a smirking face as if planning something devious.

However just as Oshawott lunged to slap, it's golden plans were stopped by a screech, it's eyes meeting another pair of eyes from behind the boy's shoulder.

It was a 'leer' attack which was followed up with a 'wing attack' that Oshawott parried with a razor shell.

The ambusher comes to light as a bird pokemon with whitish wings comes out, it's gaze locked onto the Oshawott as it begins a scuffle with it.

On the other hand, Ash ignored Vigo's advances for a conversation which greatly frustrated the little elder.

" DON'T YOU DARE IGNORE ME. Do you know how many people wait in line to just have a talk with the great yo-"

"Bed wetter.. egg brain. Half bald scarecrow. Di-". Ash begins his attack, striking at Vigo's embarassing memories with the least number of words, each hitting him deep in the memories themselves.

Each word pricked Vigo like needles, twitching like a toy each time Ash spoke until Vigo couldn't handle it anymore and fell face first in defeat.

"No more." He pleads, foam coming out of his mouth while his partner dwebble tries to comfort him but to no avail.

Ash grins, inwardly laughing at Vigo's low tolerance to insults and embarrassing memories until–

"I am telling sis. Good luck dealing with her."

"That's right i-... WAIT!"

Ash tried to stop Vigo but he was ultimately too late as he had already left the tent. Now Ash just sat there, the feeling of impending doom flooding his mind as he imagined all the torture he would have to suffer.

He looks around to see the still blanked boy, his Oshawott brawling it out with the bird in close quarters and still failing to get a advantage and lastly some boxes. Nothing that could save his skin.

Our of options as he heard a pair of footsteps from outside, Ash decided to do what he could. He balls up his fist, looks down at it with regretful face and throws it towards his own face. But–

"not so fast."

The almost silent whispers echoed in his ears, his fist stuck right in front of his face as a feminine looking hand grabbed him by the wrist and a scyther grabbing his other hand as assurance.

Silo and Vigo as the monestry knew were twins and that was no secret among the children. However there was one thing only a few knew and Ash was among those few.

For always after his arrival. Ash had believed the twins to be brothers with their identical body builds and light tan skin colour along with their matching faces. But the reality was from that.

Returning back to present. Now Ash sat there on the ground, frozen in fear and tension as he slowly turned his head. Only to witness the smiling obsessive smile Silo was giving him, her eyes locked in his own as she struck him down with fear.

"Shall we begin? *Brings out a photobook* The story that is."

Ash gulps, he was in for a late night spooky story session... With a yandere girl that is as well.
