Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: The Goddess Who Descended into Reality Using Rin Tohsaka’s Body

This was impossible!!!

The Age of Gods had long since ended, and humanity now ruled the world.

As the collective unconsciousness of mankind, Alaya had thoroughly sealed all pathways through which gods could descend!

And yet—

From the direction of Rin came an unmistakably divine aura!

That familiar scent of a god—it was impossible to forget.

Which meant… a god had used Rin as a vessel to descend directly into her body!

Sanjiro wore a calm smile on his face, but in his mind he was screaming, "MMP!"

Logically, with the complete end of the Age of Gods, even possession should be impossible.

Eliminating all impossibilities—no matter how unbelievable the remaining explanation was—it had to be the truth.

So there was only one truth—

This was the work of Alaya!

Only that bastard capitalist would come up with yet another scheme to torment him.

Damn you, Alaya!

He had been working 24/7 to protect human history, and yet Alaya wouldn't even give him a moment of rest?

Even capitalists would cry and kneel before such cruelty!

So then—which goddess was it this time?

From what Sanjiro knew, the only ones capable of possessing Rin were those two goddess sisters.

One was Ishtar, who governed beauty and war in the Sumerian Mythology.

The other was Ereshkigal, the Queen of the Underworld and Death.

Both were high-ranking deities and, unlike other gods, did not genuinely despise humanity.

That's why, even after Sanjiro severed the connection between man and god, they still lingered in the human world.

Back when the gods had sent the Bull of Heaven to destroy humanity, Ishtar had even tried to plead on humanity's behalf.

In the end, she had even tried to negotiate, suggesting that Sanjiro and Gilgamesh bow their heads to the gods and earn their forgiveness in order to survive.

But unfortunately, if humanity wanted to live as humans, they had to break free of the gods' control.

To survive by kneeling was no different from being livestock kept in captivity.

That's why Sanjiro had long prepared for self-sacrifice.

Back when he was a Master, he would send heroic spirits to die in explosions—this time, he did it himself.

As it turns out, when a man goes all out, he won't even spare himself!

But he still felt guilty about dragging Enkidu into it.

So… who was it this time?

Not far away, "Rin Tohsaka" seemed dazed, like someone waking from a long dream, completely disoriented.

Sanjiro maintained a calm facade, doing his best to conceal his aura.

If he hadn't been worried about raising suspicion by requesting leave, he would've skipped class already.

The moment class ended, he was the first to leave the classroom.

And for the next period—he flat-out skipped.

A god descending into the real world? Let the Heroic Spirits deal with that mess.

Right now, he was just an ordinary high school student. No one was going to ruin his peaceful life.

However—

As he hid on the rooftop, Sanjiro once again clearly caught that divine scent.

She was coming. She was coming—with that fragrance in tow!

Sanjiro immediately pulled out his phone and dialed. "Kirina, come to the rooftop of Building Six."

"Huh? Why are you calling me to the place where Makoto fought?" Kirina sounded puzzled.

The rooftop was one of the more famous romantic spots for school couples.

Because of past accidents, it wasn't usually accessible to students.

She giggled as she teased, "Don't tell me you're trying to do something pervy to me here at school?"

"I need to borrow your body for a moment. Hurry over," came his serious reply.

???

A series of question marks instantly popped up in Kirina's head.

What the hell?

What was this guy smoking? How did he go from a shy little virgin to a full-blown pervert in one second?

What do I do?

I'm totally not ready! Are you seriously going to assault me at school!?

No way. I have to put my foot down and make him wait a few more years!

On the rooftop—

After ending the call, Sanjiro leaned against the railing and casually asked, "Rin, what brings you here all of a sudden?"

"You… seem to be avoiding me."

Rin Tohsaka—

No, she should now be called—

Ishtar.

The heavens had long been severed from the mortal realm by an unknown force, and even she had been unable to descend at will.

But after her mother goddess Tiamat awakened, Ishtar, as her beloved daughter, regained complete freedom.

And then something even stranger happened.

A mysterious passage opened for her.

That passage came from the vessel she had summoned in the past, granting her access directly into the future.

During the process, even she sensed a terrifying presence watching—one beyond her comprehension.

Enraged and seeking the one who dared call her "monkey," she followed the path without hesitation and arrived in the future.

One step forward—space and time shifted.

Ishtar found herself in an astonishing world.

A world where humanity reigned supreme.

Even more frightening—humans could watch her conversations with Ereshkigal.

This level of power and mystery was beyond anything she had imagined. So, Ishtar decided to conceal her identity and take her time.

And then she noticed someone—a boy secretly observing her.

Unlike others who looked at her with admiration or affection—this one stared in shock and disbelief.

Did he recognize me?

Ishtar immediately tailed him, wanting to see if he had really figured her out—

And why he seemed so familiar.

"Rin, why would I avoid you?" Sanjiro asked, feigning surprise.

This unreliable goddess was far too perceptive for her own good. So, he decided to reverse the situation,

"You seem kinda strange today… like you've become a totally different person?"

"You did notice after all!"

Ishtar suddenly released her divine aura without restraint, trying to see what kind of man stood before her.

"Oi oi, that's not very sportsmanlike! You're ambushing a 17-year-old high schooler?" Sanjiro complained.

Unbelievable. She truly operated beyond common sense! In a normal situation, shouldn't she explain herself first? Why attack without a word!?

Under her divine pressure, even standing became difficult for Sanjiro.

If she caught him, she'd absolutely torment him in all sorts of cruel and creative ways!

Click—

The rooftop door creaked open again.

A small head peeked through. "Sanjiro?"

Kirina had arrived!

After getting his call, she immediately rushed over, eager to find out what he needed.

But—

She found someone else already there.

It was none other than the ever-popular Lady Rin!

Kirina instantly felt like she was missing a hatchet in her hand!

Good grief—are you trying to pull a Makoto move now!?

She growled in frustration, "Why do you need both a tall girl and a petite one? Am I not enough to satisfy you alone!?"

"Stop her! She's trying to assault me!" Sanjiro shouted without hesitation.

"Huh?"

Now Kirina was completely confused.

Who exactly was the victim here?

"Hah! A mere mortal thinks she can stop me?"

Ishtar burst out laughing like it was the biggest joke she'd ever heard.

A god could do whatever she wanted—who could possibly stop her?

But suddenly—

Her eyes widened in disbelief.

Her divine senses were screaming—

This blonde twin-tailed girl had a presence equal to her mother goddess, and it radiated pure, chaotic destruction.
