**Khadijah's POV**
"Aholah, you need to listen to me. Please, hear me out." I pleaded with her, seeing she was too infuriated to even stay in the room with me. I had waited for her to return from her classes that day and rest a while before I brought up the topic. Though, it took me more strength to watch her without saying a word. I was pained, for her and for myself. The devil will not be attacking us this way if we do not have bright destinies. God, How can I make Aholah understand this?
"Senior Khadijah, if all you can do is judge me, just leave me alone. I'm not ready for useless talks this evening. I had a long day and need rest." She tried to climb her bunk, but I stopped her.
"I swear, Aholah, I will not judge. I promise. I just have something important to tell you…"
"That is not related to me cuddling up with your ex toaster?"
The way she said it, I almost laughed. That foolish boy had truly asked me out when I was in 200 level, and guess what? He was just a fresher then. I gave him his size.
"Not about that. " I said, and then she sat on my bed. I prayed silently that God helps me to deliver his message the right way before I proceeded to talk. Somehow I resolved that starting from my first dream will be better.
"Okay, a week after you were brought to my room, I had a dream while in the office." She was fiddling with a puzzle cube in her hands. I continued. "This man appeared in my office, huge and muscular, and he stood at the window and warned me to stop praying for you. That you were his."
She laughed. "Me?"
"He said Aholah"
"Does that mean you have been praying for me or is that part of the dream too?"
"Actually, I have. Ever since you resumed this school. God asked me to pray for you."
She laughed again. "God? That's hideous!"
"How would God tell a stranger to pray for another stranger and the stranger …." She sighed. "I don't even know how to put it. It's crazy. What did he tell you to pray for me about?"
"I just prayed. There was no particular information on that. " I tried to keep up a straight face even though her reaction was meant to make me look like a fool.
"So you were praying and someone whom you believe is the devil appeared to you and told you not to pray again?"
"Aholah, maybe you should just listen and stop talking. I'm not done." I said, trying hard not to get pissed.
"Okay ma" she said with a playful chuckle.
"God clarifies dreams to us when we have it and I got the explanation I needed because I had another dream yesterday in class about you."
"I was sitting in front of a city called Babylon. The citizens of this city did not walk but floated in the air. I was baffled that I was the only one on foot, so I entered into this ancient gate to see what was going in the city. That was when I saw you. I called you and told you that you needed to leave Babylon, or you'll soon be part of those who have been emptied and are now floating. You argued with that you needed to go see Peter first…"
I could not tell what she was thinking, I just prayed silently that she would understand and not misquote me.
"Aholah, I held your hands and started to run towards the gate, but they stopped us. Something like and earthquake happened, everyone scattered, and I was jolted out of sleep by my classmate."
She was quiet. Good.
"That's why I was baffled when I woke up and saw you with Peter. I'm not saying it's not good to have a friend who is a boy, but you know when things start going wrong, you need to retrace your steps and put a stop to it." I wasn't making sense, so I tried again.
"Aholah, the spirit of sexual immorality lurks around in this school, seeking whom it may devour. Unfortunately, many students are only concerned about the pleasure and temporary safety they find in this thing but eventually it renders them empty and floating."
"I see you as someone God has brought to this school for a special reason, to the glory of his name. Please do not let the devil use your life to glorify himself. Go back to your bethel Aholah. I know that you are a child of God. And regardless of what has happened the past few weeks, it doesn't change that fact. You still loves you, and you can still turn back."
"Really?" She finally said. My heart jumped.
"Yes Aholah."
"Okay" she said. "Is that all?"
"HM…"
She went back to her bunk. "Thank you for listening to me." I said before she pulled the blanket over herself.
At least I've done one of the things I feel I must do to avert whatever God is warning me about. Next is to see chaplain.
God, please help me with that man.
