Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Thunder God Ascends! One vs. Two—Renault's True Power Unleashed!

Judicial Island.

A land where day reigns eternally and night never comes—rightfully dubbed the "Island that Never Sleeps."

It was one of the central strongholds under direct control of the World Government, a place where pirates were tried and sentenced. Anyone brought here never returned—a grim symbol of the World Government's ironclad justice.

In other words, if you set foot here… you were already deemed guilty.

At the "Bridge of Hesitation" that led to the Gate of Justice, Spandam gripped his elephant sword nervously, his face pale with fear.

"Damn it! Why is Renault here? Even with an admiral deployed, there's no way those worthless Marine officers can handle him!"

Panic consumed Spandam. He cursed aloud and spat furiously, bile rising from his stomach.

It may have been just Zhang Guo's guess, but Spandam wasn't brave enough to stake his life on the chance that it wasn't true.

All he had to do was cross the bridge and open the Gate of Justice, and he'd be safe.

A chill raced down his spine. His heart thudded like a drum as he instinctively glanced behind him.

When he thought of what his father had done to Nico Robin, dread gripped him.

Robin and Nami walked forward, their synchronized steps echoing like the tolling of a death knell. Spandam staggered back in terror.

"Don't come any closer!"

He howled hysterically, flailing Funkfreed, his elephant sword, and desperately fumbling through his coat for something—anything—to save himself.

"Robin, is that him?" Nami asked, her voice laced with disgust as she looked at the wretch before them.

Robin nodded, her gaze icy.

The position she was in today—all of it was because of Spandine, Spandam's father.

"This is the Demon Slayer Corps, Robin! Don't you know what that means?!" Spandam screamed, eyes bloodshot.

But the women didn't stop.

In the next instant, invisible arms shot forth, binding his hands, head, and throat.

"Robin… are you trying to—"

"Clutch."

Crack. Crack.

In the silence of the underground corridor, the sound of joints snapping echoed clearly.

"He deserves to die." Robin's voice was cold as she stared at his lifeless body.

Nami picked up Funkfreed and the golden Den Den Mushi from the ground, then turned to Robin.

"Let's head to his office. We need to find those three Devil Fruits."

Robin nodded calmly. She gave Spandam's corpse one last glance—then walked away.

Moments later…

"What?! Captain Brogy and Captain Dorry weren't captured by the World Government? They're dueling in Little Garden right now?!"

Kashii and Oimo exchanged confused looks, clearly struggling to grasp the news.

Elsewhere on the ancient island, Renault emerged from the shadows of the forest, flanked by the two giants.

"What… how… you…?"

The two giants were too stunned to speak.

Ignoring their shock, Renault activated his Kenbunshoku Haki and scanned the entire island—just like Enel had done on Skypiea.

Before long, he located Brogy and Dorry, currently enjoying a barbecue together.

Meanwhile…

A top-tier Marine battleship sailed through the Gate of Justice, docking at Judicial Island.

There weren't many on deck, but anyone who recognized them would flee without hesitation. After all, no one wanted to be on the receiving end of a light-speed kick.

At the ship's bow stood two men.

One wore a yellow-and-white striped suit and dark sunglasses, his lazy grin hiding deadly strength. The other was a hulking man in a navy-blue judicial cloak, a scar over his left eye.

These were none other than Admiral Kizaru and the Hero of the Marines, Vice Admiral Garp.

Standing at their sides were Vice Admirals Yatōryū Kizuna and Dalmatian—elite warriors of Marine Headquarters.

A few dozen elite soldiers stood behind them. The numbers were small, but the force was formidable.

"Vice Admiral Garp, do you really think Renault will show up?" Kizaru asked, watching the silent island ahead, one brow slightly raised.

As an admiral who had seen it all, Kizaru wasn't particularly impressed by Zhang Guo's intel.

"Bwahahaha! I hope he does. I'm all fired up to smash him flat," Garp said, casually flicking a booger into the sea.

He was still fuming over the matter with Luffy.

What he didn't know was that Renault had nearly killed his grandson—and he hadn't lifted a finger to intervene.

Still, setting personal revenge aside, teaching pirates a lesson was part of a Marine's duty.

Every time he remembered what happened, Garp got angrier. That little punk had humiliated him, forcing him to his knees the moment he left Windmill Village.

Far worse than Ace ever was.

"Ehhh?"

Kizaru suddenly adopted his trademark over-the-top expression.

"Well, well… just as expected of a former Fleet Admiral. What a scary bunch."

With a chuckle, his body turned into countless golden particles and vanished from the deck.

Garp simply grinned and glanced toward the Tower of Justice.

"Renault, I've come to pick you up!"

Back on the other side…

Robin smiled gracefully. "I'm sure the Captain will like this."

For her, the biggest reward was finally eliminating Spandam.

Just as Nami summoned Daoyun to escort Robin away, her movements froze. Her gaze turned serious.

"Yo, yo, yo~ mind showing me who you are~?"

Kizaru, hands in his pockets and eyes half-lidded, looked lazily at the two women.

"The navigator Nami of the Renault Pirates and… huh?! Nico Robin?!"

For once, genuine surprise showed in Kizaru's eyes.

According to Aokiji's report, Nico Robin—the Demon Child—wasn't listed as part of the Renault Pirates.

But there she was.

Yellow suit. Tired eyes. Lazy expression.

It had to be Kizaru.

"Hahahaha! So it's just you two? Where's Renault?!"

Another boisterous laugh came from nearby.

Nami and Robin glared, their faces darkening.

"Garp!"

"Hahahaha! You know who I am? Then hurry up and bring out that brat Renault! I'll teach him a lesson he won't forget!"

As he laughed, Garp's Conqueror's Haki swept across Judicial Island.

"What? It's really just the two of them?" he muttered in confusion.

"Haa…?" Kizaru squinted slightly, then said coldly, "Since Renault isn't here, we'll just bring you back for now. Especially you… Nico Robin."

To him, Robin was even more valuable than Renault.

"Take us back? You're dreaming." Nami snorted coldly.

Even if she couldn't defeat Kizaru, she wouldn't surrender without a fight.

She had faith—Renault wouldn't abandon them.

Faced with Garp's mocking sneer, the two women exchanged glances and said disdainfully:

"Garp, Renault isn't that kind of man. He'll come back for us once he finishes his business."

Robin nodded in agreement.

"Our Captain never abandons his crew," she said coldly, locking eyes with Kizaru and Garp.

"And the thing he hates most… is someone bullying his women."

"You'd better think about how you'll survive his wrath."

Silence followed.

A long, tense silence.

Then—

"Hahahaha…"

"Hahahaha…"

Renault appeared beside Nami and Robin.

Garp and Kizaru's expressions hardened.

"Renault, these two old men bullied me and Robin. Teach them a lesson, will you?" Nami said, placing her hands on her hips, glaring at them fiercely.

You really thought no one would come to help her?

Leaning in close, Nami whispered to Renault, "If you can't beat them, just run for now. But next time… make them pay."

Renault chuckled and shook his head.

They were close enough that Garp and Kizaru overheard.

"Hah?" Both men stared at him curiously.

This kid had serious guts. No wonder he managed to escape Aokiji.

"My, my… such a scary little devil," Kizaru muttered, still feigning indifference. Then he turned to Garp.

"Vice Admiral Garp, shall I do the honors, or will you?"

Garp grinned, cracking his knuckles.

"Just make sure he doesn't run."

After all, avenging his grandson was a grandfather's duty.

Hearing their conversation, Renault smirked coldly.

"You two old coots are great at playing your parts, huh?"

"All the way from Marine HQ to Judicial Island… just to gang up on me?"

"Well then—let's do this!"

BOOM!

The sky roared.

Everyone looked up in horror. What they saw left them speechless.

Renault hovered in the air, arms outstretched, his pupils glowing with a terrifying silver light—like a Thunder God descending to earth.

Massive bolts of lightning wrapped around him like coiling serpents.

Looking down coldly, Renault declared—

"Garp. Kizaru. Come at me!"

Waves of energy exploded outward.

"He's developed the Goro Goro no Mi this far? A monster like him… only Impel Down can hold him!"

Garp's expression darkened. Kizaru's grin faded.

According to the records, the Thunder Fruit was one of the most troublesome powers to deal with.

They hadn't expected Renault to grow this fast.

"Robin! Nami! The rest is up to you!"

"Don't forget—no one gets left behind!"

I'm not just anyone… I'm the storm!
