Chapter 12 - It's finally complete

[Year 2001, Eleventh Loop, Flashback and Overview]

So, our protagonist starts his journey through this timeline, hoping that it will be the last loop and he can finally complete his anti-terror and survival plan.

This time, our protagonist quickly speedruns most of the early days, immediately asking his parents for money while they eat breakfast, ensuring proper social interaction between father, mother, and their son.

Quickly winning money by betting and gambling, winning the lottery, contacting a trusted lawyer/attorney that he got to know in between all of his loops, using his free time to put in action his step-by-step Anti-Terror plan and making the music — this time including Dancin' from Aaron Smith.

Recording, editing, sharing and marketing, releasing — all flowed like water, and the things that normally would have hindered a normal person in doing something like this were quickly solved because of the premeditated steps and actions Adrian took.

Adrian this time skipped grades straight up to High School; the reason why there were so many loads to his save point in the first place was so he could optimize everything. This meant that while he was researching how to make and making the LRAD, he studied other subjects and higher education as a whole and he even started making a project apart from the LRAD, although connected to it in a certain sense.

With this recap of our protagonist's actions, we come to the present day.

[Year 2001, Eleventh Loop, 3rd of April, In the Middle of Nowhere]

Now we find three people. Adrian was currently wearing earbuds and standing behind an LRAD, and with his two hands occupied with a radio and a device similar to a radio connected to the LRAD, being the microphone. To the side of Adrian was the father of our protagonist, Edwin, at the side of his son, currently watching attentively at the situation with earbuds in his ears. And at 20 meters of distance in front of the direction the LRAD was being pointed, a middle-aged man was currently standing with a radio in his hand — a friend of Edwin that got convinced to participate in the testing by being offered 20 dollars.

"Alright, please make a hand sign to show when you are ready, then we will proceed."

Said Adrian through the radio, to which he got a reply through the same medium.

"Got it, buddy."

The middle-aged man turned off the radio and put it inside one of his pockets, then he put his hand up and made an OK sign with it.

Getting the signal, our protagonist turned on the microphone from the LRAD and spoke to it.

"One and two, one and two, how do you hear it? Is everything alright? Make another OK sign if you hear with clarity what I'm saying; if you hear wrong, just wave your hands."

Meanwhile, the middle-aged man got suddenly surprised. The reason for this was because he suddenly felt as if a person was speaking at less than a meter from his ear, and almost as if it had a raised tone of voice. A little overwhelmed by the sudden change in his hearing sense, he complied with the instructions Adrian made and did an OK sign with his hand, to which Adrian spoke one last time to the microphone.

"Alright then, come here; the testing is successful."

Quickly shutting down the microphone and the LRAD, our protagonist turned his face to look at his father, who was waiting for him with an extended hand.

Clap

Quickly making a high-five between the two, Adrian's father suddenly hugged him.

"Come on, lil genius, this needs some celebration! I'm sure your mother will be amazed by what you did! You are even better than Tony Stark!"

Laughing and looking at his son with pride, our protagonist's father stopped hugging him and, with a hand, ruffled Adrian's hair.

"Now we only have to test that other thing you made; what was it called again?"

Slapping away his father's hand while laughing, Adrian tried to fix his hair and answer.

"You really have a bad memory, old man, it's called a sonic taser. However, we won't be able to test it properly here; we need to go to my studio."

Quickly noticing Edwin's friend arriving at their side, Adrian talked to him meanwhile he took out a camera from his pocket.

"So, how did it feel? Tell me as detailed as you can while looking at the camera."

Looking at the camera pointed at him, the middle-aged man, a little bit nervous because of the experience and not being prepared, started speaking.

"Well... it felt weird, as if someone was really close to me, like, standing just at my side, talking to me, and almost felt like that person was screaming to me because of how loud it felt. However, it kept the tone that you were speaking, so it's like someone talking with a very high tone of voice really close to you."

"Ah, that means just a little tweak with the volume and it will feel less uncomfortable, thanks."

Ending the recording, our protagonist looked at his father, who was currently taking all of the cameras that were in the surroundings in a radius of them and their test. After all, one needs to have evidence to show that the device is working and all of that. As for needing a permit for human trials? Having money solves a lot of things; he solved that in one of the loops and is putting it in practice this time.

"Alright, we all have to go, get us to my studio, Dad."

{Time Skip}

Same day, different hour, but now in the studio, and this time Adrian was in front of his father's friend, who was currently sitting on a couch, meanwhile Adrian's father was currently at his side watching everything and currently filming to show it to his wife.

Adrian and his father were wearing headphones that somewhat blocked sound, just enough so that the next device won't actually affect them. Adrian took out a little device just somewhat bigger than his hands, with a noticeable red button on it.

"Now, like we talked about in the car, with what we are testing this time, we will give one thousand dollars for your participation, and in exchange, you can't talk about it with anyone — it doesn't matter if it's your family or anything, this stays buried here. The thousand dollars we will give you are because of your participation with the LRAD and no more. Now, when you are ready to start, make a hand sign, and you'll have 10 seconds to get in a comfortable position."

After some seconds, Edwin's friend gave a nod and then made an OK hand sign and tried to put himself in the most comfortable position he could find. Then, after waiting 10 seconds, our protagonist pressed the red button.

Zsssst

Suddenly, a high-pitched sonic frequency is emitted by the sonic taser, and just at the same time it happens, the face of the middle-aged man on the sofa changes instantly, his head plopping to his left side while in his eyes fear was being reflected. Edwin reacted quickly to the change of the atmosphere in the room and helped his friend by putting his head to rest on the couch and ending the recording.

Just five seconds after the sonic taser was on, our protagonist turned it off and took off the headphones to talk to the man; however, his father was faster at that.

"HEY! Are you okay, man? How are you feeling? Is everything alright, Adrian? He looks in pain!"

"It's okay, Dad, we talked about it in the car, didn't we? This is the effect of the sonic taser. Now, please stay calm and don't try to move — you shouldn't be able to in the first place. If you try to, you will probably feel a lot of pain and sluggishness. Remember, one thousand dollars are for you, just relax. In 15 minutes, and probably less, you will be back to normal; in 3 minutes to five, you will probably be able to move with some difficulty."

Hearing the explanations the kid in front of him made it so that the man regained some calm. Then Edwin spoke to his son again.

"You are not planning to commercialize this like you will with the LRAD things, do you? This is a weapon, son. Doing this would make you the same as that merchant of death, Stark. I won't let you do that."

Hearing what his father was telling him, our protagonist quickly answered him.

"No no! I don't plan to do that. This was mostly an experiment so I could test my knowledge and to make a self-defense device. This is not going to the public and is why I asked your friend to not say anything. This is going to stay in the family, only for you, my mother, and myself."

"But son, this is an AOE attack, and we would be affected. We can't just wear headphones at all times."

Just as Edwin was talking, Adrian took three little boxes from a nearby table and opened them in front of his father. Inside each of those were a pair of earbuds.

"One for each one of us. Easy to carry and less conspicuous than a normal weapon like a gun. You can wear them when you go out, and if you are asked about them, just say they are connected to Bluetooth to an MP3, and easy peasy, you have at all times a non-lethal, easy-to-access self-defense device. Perfect if somebody tries to enter and rob the house or tries mugging you or Mom outside."

Author note: Larger chapter because what i said before.

Now you all see why i made him a genius to the public eye (althought he isn't, if we go by iq he is probably like 137 or a little bit more, but it's because his thinking speed and perfect memory are carrying him).

I implemented the sonic taser because it was too op of a weapon and combined with sound related things, at this point in time Stark industries probably hasn't made the prototype yet so our protagonist will fill patents to things related to the sonic taser but not the sonic taser itself, only the parts, this would make it so that he gets money and controls the making of it, just so that Stark industries won't create them in this world (Maybe tony will, but who knows, i haven't decided that yet as it's not specified in the comics or the movies).
