Chapter 12 - Chapter 8

Everyone in Class 1-A are doing their own training for the Sports Festival, which was starting in two weeks. Nick's training was held at Ground Gamma, where Principle Nezu gave him special access to for training, which was to fight several Villain Bots from the entrance exam, the only difference is the robots being much more aggressive and violent, with them even chasing after Nick, there were even at least one hundred Executers. Nick did very well against the massive hoard of robots and quickly learned to channel One For All's power threw his entire body, with Nick calling this technique; "Full Cowl", he also managed to learn to control the output of One For All's power instead of just 100% every time he uses it. While taking a break from his training, Nick ended up entering the Vestige World inside of One For All, and met the Vestiges of the previous seven wielders of One For All (a Vestige is the echo of the consciousness of a Quirks wielder(s)), the first wielder; Yoichi Shigaraki, the second wielder; Kudo, the third wielder; Bruce, the fourth wielder; Hikage Shinomori, the fifth wielder; Daigoro Banjo, the sixth wielder; En Tayutai, and the seventh wielder; Nana Shimura. There, the seven previous One For All users gave Nick advice on how to use the power well, with Kudo, Bruce, Hikage, Daigoro, En, and Nana, all giving Nick access to their respective Quirks. Nick then wakes up back in the real, and continues training, this time also to master the six new Quirks he just got from his predecessors.

Nick: (thought) 'Man, this new Quirks are pretty useful. Accelerating the speed of anyone or anything I touch, build up and store kinetic energy to release it for a huge boost of speed and power, detecting nearby threats, create tendrils of dark-energy form my hands, produce purple smoke from my body, and levitation.'

Time Skip.

It's now Saturday, a week before the Sports Festival, and Nick and Nemuri, who got the day off, decided to visit their family, with Lila and Grey being given special "V.I.P." passes for the Sports Festival, same for Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto's families. While Nick and Grey are playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate, on Nick's custom made battle stage he calls "Dragons Fury", and Lila and Nemuri are making lunch, the doorbell suddenly rings.

Nick: (pauses the game) "I'll get it."

Nick then walks to answer the door.

Nick: "Hello?"

Nick looks around to see nobody at the door. However, he then hears a voice.

???: "Um….Excuse me?"

Nick then looks down, to see a small girl with blueish off-white hair, very wide, innocent-looking, bright red eyes, and a small brown horn poking out from the right side of her forehead.

Nick: "Can I help you?"

Little Girl: "Um….Is this the Kayama house?"

Nick: "Yeah, why?"

Little Girl: (pulls out a letter and hands it to Nick) "I was told to give this to Miss Lila Kayama."

Nick takes the letter and reads it. While reading, Nick's face turns to shock before turning to anger once he finished, as he then looks at the girl.

Nick: "Come on in, kiddo."

Small Girl: "Thank you."

Nick then walks to the living room with the girl.

Nick: "Mom, Aunt Nemuri, Grey, Family meeting in the living room, now!"

Once they were all in the living room, Nick showed them the letter the girl gave him. In it, it was revealed to be from Derek, stating he already got remarried and had an eight-year old son, who inherited the Werewolf Quirk, and the little girl, who's name is Eri, is Derek's six-year old daughter, but she doesn't have the Werewolf Quirk, and Derek is leaving Eri in the Kayama family's care for also being a "Failed Child". This made the whole family furious, as Derek already moved on and started a new family, not to mention that he abandoned his own child for not having the Lunarfang family Quirk, again, and left her in the care of his old family. Nick then copies Eri's Quirk to find out what it is.

Eri Kayama (formerly Lunarfang). Her Quirk: Rewind. An Emitter-Type Quirk, an Accumulation-Type Quirk, and a Variant Quirk, like Nick and Touma's Quirks. Allows her to reverse a living body back to a previous state by touching them, allowing her to make her target physically younger, heal injuries, and undo bodily modifications. She can even rewind someone's body to a point before they existed, erasing them completely, or even a single drop of her blood being able to completely destroy Quirks, permanently. The Quirk cannot, however, effect non-living beings, and can be negated if the user is wearing something, like gloves or mittens, over their hands.

Seeing this information made Nick and the family surprised, it was also agreed that Eri would stay with Nick at the Class 1-A Dorm, as it would be bad if she lost control over her Quirk. Of course, the rest of Class 1-A were surprised that Nick now has a little Half-Sister, but gladly welcomed Eri to Heights Alliance, especially the girls, who found Eri adorable. On Sunday, Nick took Eri to the Support Department, and asked them to build a device to block Eri's Quirk, and also a robot pet to keep her company, as Nick couldn't take her to class with him, and he didn't want her to get lonely. The Support Class was more then happy to help and created a small "Quirk-Blocking Bracelet", like the ones the police use to restrain criminals with Quirks, and a robot dog named; "K-9".

Just imagine that K-9 looks like Robo-Dog from Paw Patrol.

Time Skip

Today is the day of the U.A. High School Sports Festival, and a ton of people are excited. We now see a large crowed of reporters gathered at the front gate, again.

Female Reporter: "This security line is huge, what's the deal?"

Male Camera Man: "A bunch of Villains did just break in last week, of course their being stricter this year. Some people think they shouldn't even be holding the festival, seeing as what happened."

Female Reporter: "Perfect! Nothing brings ratings up like a little controversy! Plus, everyone will be tuning in to see that Nick Kayama boy in action!"

We see a lot of people on the school grounds, excited for the tournament to begin, as some are talking about how this is the third-year students' last chance to show of, while others are looking forward to see the new first-years, and some women are talking about Endeavor's son, Shoto, and Midnight's nephew, Nick, are in the first-year. We now see Midnight, Lila, Grey, and Eri, who brought K-9, Mitsuki, Rei, and Shoto's older siblings, Fuyumi, and Natsuo, as they are walking around.

Fuyumi Todoroki, and Natsuo Todoroki. They both inherited their mother's Quirk, Frost.

Lila: "The U.A. Sports Festival, man this take me back."

Grey: "The crowd is bigger then I thought."

We then see Mt. Lady at a food stand as she manages to get free food by looking attractive to the bar tender.

Yes, Mt. Lady is one of those women who use their looks for their own personal gain.

Mt. Lady is now eating the free Takoyaki (Octopus Dumplings) she got, while walking with Kamui Woods, and Death Arms.

Kamui Woods: "Do you have any sense of shame? Anyway, I was hoping I could do some scouting while I was here."

Death Arms: "Yeah, to bad we're stuck doing security this time."

Mt. Lady: "Looks like they called in a lot of Pro Heroes from all over to guard this thing. Quite a show."

We now see Class 1-A in their waiting room, as they change into their gym clothes.

Mina: "A man, I was totally hoping to wear my costume."

Mashirao: "At least everyone will be in uniforms, that'll keep things far, right?"

Rikido: "I wonder what they have in store for us in the first round."

Fumikage: "No matter what they prepared, we must persevere."

Mazo: "Right."

Nick: (enters the waiting 1-A room) "All right, everyone, game faces on! We're entering the arena soon!"

Time Skip

Present Mic (on a massive screen): "Hey-Hey-Hey! Who's ready for some action?!"

The crowd then cheers into an uproar of excitement.

Present Mic: "Alright! Now let's bring out the competitors!"

All of the first-year students from Classes 1-A-K then enter the stadium.

Present Mic: "This is the chance for these young students to prove they have what it takes for fame and glory!"

We now see Midnight, in her CURRENT Hero costume, standing on the stage in front of the first years, as guys from the crowd awe at her.

FILTHY PERVERTS!!!

Midnight: "Now the introductory begins!"

Nick: (embarrassed) "Oh my God, Aunt Nemuri really IS a teacher."

Eijiro: "Someone should talk to Ms. Midnight about what she's wearing."

Denki: "Yeah, that costume should totally come with a warning."

Fumikage: "Is it really appropriate to wear during a high school event?"

Nick: "Trust me, you guys, her current Hero costume is, somewhat, a lot better compared to her first one when she was a student. In terms of modesty at least, probably."

Inasa: "Nick, that's really your aunt?"

Nick: "Yup, that's her. Don't get me wrong, I love Aunt Midnight, but she can be a bit of a handful at times."

Denki: "Does she act this way at home?"

Nick: "Thankfully, no."

A short purple haired male student gives a thumbs up a looks to be extremely overjoyed at seeing Midnight.

Filthy...…PERVERT!!!!

Minoru Mineta. His Quirk: Pop Off. A Mutant-Type Quirk. Allows him to produce and pluck ball-shaped objects from his head; the balls grow back as fast as they're plucked. The balls are incredibly sticky and will stick to any surface; the sole exception is Minoru, as he bounces off them (since he is also made of them). His overall health determines the duration of their adhesive quality. He can pull many of these objects from his head; however, if he plucks too many, it will cause him to start bleeding from his scalp.

I seriously didn't want to do an introduction on this pervert….Disgusting.

Midnight: "Silence, everyone! Before we begin the events, All Might will be giving some words first."

All Might: (suddenly lands on the stage) "I Am Here! To give you all words of encouragement! Now, young students, I want you all to give it your all in these events. Go beyond, Plus Ultra!"

This causes the students and spectators to cheer.

Midnight: "Thank you, All Might. Now, students, this is where you begin feeling the pain. The first game of the Festival is….!"

A large hologram screen showing a slot machine rotating at a fast pace.

Midnight: "What could it be?"

The slot machine then stops saying "Obstacle Race".

Midnight: "Tada!"

Nick: "So it's an obstacle course."

Midnight then goes on to explain the rules.

During the preliminary round, all eleven first-year classes raced along a four-kilometer-long obstacle course around the festival stadium. Participants were allowed to use their Quirks freely to try and win, as long as they do not leave the race course. The first forty-two competitors that finish will advance to the second event. The first obstacle of the race was "Robo Inferno": a blockade of Villain-Bots from the U.A. Entrance Exam. The second obstacle was "The Fall": a canyon that must be trekked across by walking along tightropes. Students who fell were automatically eliminated. The third and final leg of the course was a Mine Field. All of the students get lined up at the starting line, and Nick activates Rabbit, Engine, and channels 25% of One For All with Full Cowl.

Midnight: "Ready?! Set?! Begin!!"

A buzzer goes off as all of the students then begin running.

Present Mic: "And we're off with a massive start!"

The race gets intense as everyone just got cramped in the doorway, while Nick goes over the other participants, putting him in the lead.

Present Mic: "Unbelievable! Nick Kayama went over the other Participants, he's now in first place and has a huge lead!"

Suddenly, Shoto uses his ice half as he, Izuku, Katsuki, Mikoto, Momo, Yuga, Inasa, and even Minoru, begin using their Quirks to try and catch up to Nick, while the rest are either stuck in the ice, or struggling to keep balance. Nick is still up ahead in first place as he then begins to fight several Villain-Bots, destroying them all with ease as he increased his power output to 50%.

Nick: "Honestly, I thought this would be harder."

Suddenly, Kuroko teleports to Nick.

Kuroko: "You're not winning this event Kaya-"

Kuroko was almost attacked by a robot, but was saved by Nick.

Nick: "Are you crazy?! Don't just teleport to someone when their fighting!"

Kuroko: "How was I suppose to know you were battling robots?! And let go of me, Kayama!"

Nick: "Sure, if you want to fight all of these Villain-Bots on your own, then be my guess."

Nick then puts Kuroko down before running off, leaving her behind.

Present Mic: "Nick Kayama is still going with no problems! He's the one we should be watching, pause!"

Shota: "His ability to use any Quirk he copies gives him a large advantage in battle. Even All Might, himself, sees potential in Nick."

Present Mic: "No wonder he was let in on recommendations! Not only that, but he is also the one who saved All Might when the League of Villains attacked the U.S.J. three weeks ago, plus, he's the Representative of Class 1-A!"

This makes the crowd and everyone watching on TV to be impressed by Nick's skills and Quirk(s), especially several Pro Heroes, who begin to consider scouting Nick for their agencies.

While running, Nick suddenly stops at a HUGE canyon, which is the second obstacle.

Nick: "When the heck did they have the time to build all of this? Whatever."

Nick then increases his power output to 75% and adds Gearshift to his combo, this allowing him to jump from one stone pillar to another, he also uses Float and Whirlwind to fly, as Kuroko then teleports to Nick again, resulting in her falling. Nick stops and saves her by using Whirlwind to gently land her on the ground before landing at the end of the canyon while continuing to run, as Kuroko teleports behind him to try to catch up.

Present Mic: "And Nick has already passed The Fall, and saved that foolish girl. And it looks like some of the other participants are just now leaving the first obstacle!"

Male Spectator 1: "That Kayama kid is so far ahead."

Male Spectator 2: "And his Quirk is really powerful, but it's also his intelligence and natural skills that are keeping him in first place."

Male Student 3: "And if All Might thinks this kid has potential, then he's obviously going to become an awesome Pro Hero in the future. Every Pro Hero in the country will be wanting him as a sidekick for sure."

Nick then makes it to the third and final obstacle, a minefield. Nick just uses Float, Gearshift, and Explosion to go over the mines with ease, as he rans all the way to the finishing line.

Present Mic: "And Nick Kayama wins in first place!"

The crowd then cheers for Nick as he uses ice to cool off his body. Outside, we see Death Arms, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady, are standing guard.

Death Arms: "Hey, it's that Kayama kid."

Kamui Woods: "Oh yeah, Midnight's nephew. Looks like he got first place."

Death Arms: "That was quick."

Time Skip

Forty-one other Participants eventually manage to reach the finishing line.

Nick: "Hey, uh, Momo….You have a little something on your back."

Momo looks behind to see Minoru, who looked completely beaten up, using orbs to stick to her back, as Nick tries to help pull the short pervert off his female classmate, and also copies the Minoru's Quirk.

We see the leader board of the first Forty-two competitors who finished the race, being the following:

Nick: (looks at the leader board) "Bummer, looks like Touma didn't make it. Also, dang, that is a list."

Kuroko: (frustrated, thought) 'I was so close! How could I lose Kayama of all people?!'

Midnight: "Now that we have our forty-two students, it's time for the next event. Those who didn't make it will also be able to participate in other events."

The second round is revealed to be a Calvary Battle, participants form teams with a maximum of 4 people and then get in a horse configuration. The objective is to earn points by swiping other teams' headbands while protecting their own. The value of a team's headband is the sum of the points each person on the team received based on their performance in the previous competition. After the explanation, all 42 participants formed teams.

I don't feel like typing all of this for the teams and the match, so….

Time Skip.

The Calvary Battle ended with the following four teams moving on to the third and final round:

Team 1: Nick Kayama, Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki. (they didn't even lose one headband)

Team 2: Mikoto Misaka, Ochaco Uraraka, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Mina Ashido.

Team 3: Fumikage Tokoyami, Mezo Shoji, Tenya Ida, and Tsuyu Asui.

Team 4: Kuroka Shirai, Neito Monoma, Kosei Tsuburaba, and Hitoshi Shinso.

After the cavalry battle, there is an interlude period where the students of the different classes and courses participate and compete in different recreational activities, such as a scavenger hunt and a ball race, among others. These activities have no other purpose than to entertain the public and relax the atmosphere before the tournament. Meanwhile, the students qualified for the finals may choose whether or not to participate and use the opportunity to prepare themselves for the next event. Before the interlude period starts, the students are given a lunch break. We later see All Might standing in the hallway.

All Might: "Yo, long time no see. Let's catch up, Endeavor."

Endeavor: "All Might."

The Flame Hero: Endeavor. His Quirk: Hellflame. An Emitter-Type Quirk, and a common fire-based Quirk. Allows him to produce and manipulate large amounts of extremely intense fire at will. He appears to be immune to other flames, and can easily control the shape and temperature of the blaze as well. Endeavor's level of control enables him to utilize his flames in unorthodox ways, such as concentrating flames and heat to his feet to achieve limited flight. He has been shown shaping his flames into long-range and melee weapons, such as a spear made of fire, and is even capable of emitting fire from his eyes. Using too much of his power will overheat Endeavor's body, causing a depletion of stamina, and an impairment of his physical functions.

All Might: "I haven't talked to you since that press conference, ten years ago. Thought I'd come and say hi. How have you been?

Endeavor: "You know, the usual. I heard from my sons, Toya and Shoto, that you helped Nick train for the entrance exam. Is this true?"

In this story, All Might and Endeavor's rivalry is on a more friendly level, and the two also hold great respect for each other.

All Might: (nods) "Indeed, it is. I saw great potential in young Nick, so I offered to help with his training."

Endeavor: "Bet you also let him copy your Quirk. Can't blame you though, Nick is a good kid, and even I allowed him to copy my Quirk."

All Might: "Also, I bet you're quite proud of your son, he's doing well, you must be a great teacher."

Endeavor: "I only did what I could….Helping Shoto train his fire half was easy, his ice half, however, was done by his mother. I also did what I could to be a good father for my children, especially after what Lunarfang did, nine years ago."

All Might: "I heard about what this "Derek Lunarfang" man did to young Nick and his family, actually….It seems Lunarfang has already moved on."

Endeavor: "What are you talking about, All Might? Nobody has heard from or even seen Lunarfang for years, Mirko even tried to hunt him down to make him pay for what he did for three years, with zero success."

All Might: "Actually….Lunarfang sent a letter to the Kayamas recently, he already remarried and has a new family with two children, he also abandoned his new daughter to the Kayama family's care. Her name is Eri, and she lives with young Nick and his classmates in the dorms."

Endeavor: "He abandoned a child again?"

All Might: (nods) "It seems that little Eri has a Variant Quirk, a powerful one at that too, just like young Nick."

Endeavor: "I doubt if Lunarfang is watching the Festival, he has any kind of regret for what he did. To be honest with you, All Might, I never liked him. Nobody did, actually."

Time Skip.

We see all of the first-years gathering in the stadium for the interlude period, and….Momo, Ochaco, Mikoto, Mina, Tsuyu, Kyoka, Himiko, Kazari, and Ruiko are all wearing cheerleader outfits, for some reason, with pom-poms.

Mashirao: "Hey, um….Why are the girls dressed as cheerleaders?"

Nick: "That's a good question….Why are you girls dressed as cheerleaders? Are you planning to cheer for everyone else, or something? Judging by the looks on your faces, you didn't plan to dress like that?"

Momo: "No, Nick….We did not intend to do this."

Nick: "Then….Why….?"

The girls all just point over to Denki and Minoru, who are acting cheerful and gave each other thumbs ups while blushing, and Nick puts two and two together.

Nick: "Oh….So those two tricked you girls into this?"

The girls all nod as Nick then teleports over to Denki and Minoru.

Minoru: "This plan was genius."

Denki: "I know, right? I still can't believe the girls fell for it."

Nick then electrocutes the two perverts before bashing their heads together.

Nick: "That was messed up, you know? You can't just trick the girls into wearing those outfits. If they wanted to wear those on their own choice, I'd understand, not if filthy perverts, like you two, trick them into it. (Nick then looks over to the girls before quickly looking away blushing) Even if they do admittingly look cute in those, it's still wrong for tricking them."

Hearing this makes the girls blush at what Nick said.

Girls: (thought) 'He thinks we look cute?!'

Kyoka: "I'm glad Nick is giving those two perverts what for, but I don't know how to feel about him thinking we look cute."

Mikoto and Kazari: (thought) 'Nick said he thinks I look cute!' x100

Himiko: "I wonder….Hey, Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki! Come here for a minute, will you?"

Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto then walk over.

Izuku: "Yeah, what's up, Toga?"

Himiko: "I was wondering if Nick is into cheerleaders or something."

This makes the other girls also wonder if Nick likes cheerleaders.

Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto: "No, not at all, why?"

Ruiko: "Well, he did say that we look cute dressed like this, so…."

Katsuki: "That's just Nick being Nick. He doesn't really have any type of interest like that, he just said he thinks you girls look cute as an honest comment."

Kyoka: "Glad to know that Nick isn't a pervert or anything."

Izuku: "Of course he isn't one, Nick hates perverts or anything inappropriate. As much as he hates villains, too."

Ruiko: "There were a few perverts at our junior high school, like these three MEGA perverts who always tried to peep on the girls' locker room in secret. Nick would always beat them up before reporting them to the office. Those three always got detention and suspended for it. I think they were always afraid of Nick because of that."

Hearing that Nick hates perverts, and isn't one himself, makes the girls smile, knowing that they can count on and trust Nick.

Time Skip.

After the interlude period, we are shown the brackets for each match-up, however, some of the participants stepped down, allowing others to take their place, resulting in the following:

Match 1: Nick Kayama vs. Hitoshi Shinso.

Match 2: Shoto Todoroki vs. Tenya Ida.

Match 3: Izuku Midoriya vs. Ibara Shiozaki.

Match 4: Katsuki Bakugo vs. Mikoto Misaka

Match 5: Momo Yaoyorozu vs. Fumikage Tokoyami

Match 6: Eijiro Kirishima vs. Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu

Match 7: Mina Ashido vs. Neito Monoma

Match 8: Kosei Tsuburaba vs. Yuga Aoyama

In the first match, Hitoshi tried to use his Quirk to make Nick walk off the stage, but Nick used Erasure to negate it, and used Dark Shadow, which looked like a demon, to knock Hitoshi off the stage, winning the match. Afterwards, Nick copied Hitoshi's Quirk, and learned he was always told he had a "Villain Quirk", but Nick said those people were wrong and he would make a great Hero, Hitoshi stats that Nick is the first person to tell him that, this leading to the two boys becoming friends.

Hitoshi Shinso. His Quirk: Brainwashing. An Emitter-Type Quirk. Allows him to put someone in a state where they are forced to obey whatever he commands. He can only activate this power when his target verbally responds to something he says. Brainwashing must be intentionally activated and will not take effect if Hitoshi doesn't want it to. Though he can have multiple people under his control at once, he can only activate his power on one person at a time. He is also unable to have his victims do things that require some advanced brain function, like talking or writing a name from their memory.

Shoto defeated Tenya in the second match by freezing the ground and grabbing Tenya's arm as he encases most of Tenya's body in ice.

Izuku had the upper hand against Ibara in the third match, due to Ibara's Quirk being plant-based, while Izuku's is fire-based, giving him an easy win. During the fight, Neito tried to provoke the rest of Class 1-A, but was stopped by Itsuka, and Nick asked who Neito was, due to not recognizing him.

Ibara Shiozaki. Her Quirk: Vines. A Mutant-Type Quirk. Gives her hair-like vines that grow on her head. She can lengthen and manipulate the vines, allowing her to attack, defend and grapple. She also can detach them at will. The vines will grow back, provided her head receives proper sunlight and water.

In the fourth match, Katsuki, and Mikoto's match was intense, but Katsuki came out victorious in the end.

The fifth match was Momo against Fumikage. It was a quick one as Kumikage used Dark Shadow to overwhelm Momo and knocked her out of bounds.

The fight between Eijiro and Tetsutetsu in the sixth match ended in a draw, as their Quirks were virtually the same, and they knocked each other unconscious.

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu (Yes, that is his name). His Quirk: Steel. A Transformation-Type Quirk. Allows him to turn his body into steel. This power grants Tetsutetsu both augmented defensive abilities to withstand attacks and the increased strength of his unarmed physical attacks. His Quirk's strength is fueled and affected by his diet containing iron. If he uses his Quirk for too long, Tetsutetsu will suffer from iron fatigue, resulting in his metal form losing its durability. And while his steel skin has a heat resistance, it will melt if the temperatures are high enough. In addition, due to his skin transforming into metal, Tetsutetsu is susceptible to magnetism. While highly durable, Steel has a set limit of hardness that cannot be improved upon, unlike Eijiro's Hardening.

Mina was able to defeat Neito in their fight during the seventh match, as Neito didn't have any Quirks copied to use. And, once again, Nick had ZERO idea who Neito was, and thought he was some random person who snuck into the tournament.

In the eighth, Kosei was able to beat Yuga by using his Quirk to block all of Yuga's laser beams, leading to him getting a stomach ache from over usage.

Kosei Tsuburaba. His Quirk: Solid Air. An Emitter-Type Quirk. Allows him to solidify any air he breathes out, allowing him to create invisible walls and/or platforms. The solidified air continues to stay afloat in mid-air, even if someone is standing on it. The size of the wall or platform depends on his lung capacity.
