When I approached the door to see what had happened to Kacchan, the cops blocked me.
"Stay away, young man."
There was no time to ask what had happened. I needed to see that Kacchan was okay. When I saw the door was open, I quickly got in under their arms. When I opened the door to the room where the noise was coming from, there was Mrs. Bakugo and Kacchan talking to the police.
Half of Kacchan's face was bandaged.
"KACCHAN WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?"
"Huh Deku what are you doing here?"
I quickly ran towards Kacchan and hugged him tightly.
"KACCHAN I'M SO SORRY IF I DIDN'T TELL YOU TO LEAVE MY HOUSE THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED TO YOU I'M SO SORRY I'M SO SORRY."
I started to cry I couldn't control my emotions because Kacchan got hurt because of me.
"Kacchan I'm so sorry-"
"Deku, this is none of your business, get out of here."
"But why?- KACCHAN YOUR HEAD IS BLEEDING! SOMEONE HELP HİM NOW."
Blood was dripping from Kacchan's bandage onto the ground. He convulsed and fell on top of me, but since I wasn't strong enough to carry Kacchan, the police helped me carry him.
But Kacchan's injuries were too severe so the ambulance took him to the hospital and they took him to the operating room.
While I was waiting for Kacchan's surgery to finish, a couple of police officers came to talk to me and asked me how I knew Kacchan, what I was to him, and when was the last time I talked to him. After I answered his questions I asked him why Kacchan was injured.
"We went to a friend's house after receiving a noise complaint from his neighbors. An angry woman opened the door and we said we came because there was a complaint report.But when we saw your friend with a bleeding head inside, we realized that the situation was more serious than we thought. According to the woman who opened the door, a bad guy attacked your friend. And since your friend didn't answer even one of our questions, your answers are very important... Because-"
The two police officers looked at each other and nodded as if they had made up their minds about something.
"We think your friend is being subjected to domestic violence. Do you have any information about this?"
Is Kacchan experiencing domestic violence? But he hasn't said anything like that to me in all this time. He never actually says things like that to anyone, but even if he didn't say it, I must have seen it anyway.

Ah I remember 2 years ago when I went to Kacchan's house to get the notebook he borrowed from me, I remember Mrs. Bakugo and Kacchan's loud screams. He was hurt all over that day too.
How could I not have noticed something like this back then? Back then, I thought Kacchan didn't get along very well with his family because Mrs. Bakugo had always been a nice person to me.
"I-I'm sorry. I remember you had a fight with Kacchan's family before, but I'm not sure if I gave you the right information."
"No problem young man, any information you give us could save your friend's life."
I told the cops everything I knew.
It's my fault for not realizing how much pain Kacchan was in this whole time. I was the closest person to him, but even I felt like there was a huge iceberg between me and Kacchan.
A doctor came out of the operating room and approached us.
