Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 – Light Unshaken: Lyrion’s Opening Battle

[INT. DIVINE STADIUM – MORNING OF ROUND THREE]

The Divine Stadium stood cloaked in golden brilliance. The very air shimmered with energy as the sun rose high over the six divine realms. A hush swept through the audience — gods, champions, and students alike — as the next tournament began.

At the center, the Divine Arena had transformed into a coliseum of shifting terrain. Marble platforms hovered midair. Crystal battlegrounds shifted under divine regulation.

Above it all, the Divine Board flickered with ethereal light.

> MATCH ONE:

Lyrion Alarion – Light School

vs.

Zek Vorn – Nonliving Creation School

---

[INT. WAITING PLATFORM – LIGHT SCHOOL SIDE]

The Light School students gathered near the battle ring, eyes sharp with resolve.

> Ray (clenching fists):

"He's up first…"

> Rika (nodding):

"And they're starting with the strongest."

> Veloria (softly):

"No one's stronger than him."

Across the platform, Lyrion stepped forward — his white robe trailing like woven light. The anklet on his hand gleamed once, then dimmed again.

He didn't look at the others. Only ahead.

> Lyrion (thinking):

Zek Vorn… the automaton manipulator. Cold, ruthless. I remember him.

But today isn't about memory. It's about proving what comes next.

---

[INT. BATTLEFIELD PLATFORM – ROUND THREE BEGINS]

Lyrion and Zek stood on opposite ends of the arena, 200 meters apart. Zek Vorn, with pale grey skin and sharp angular armor, held two small mechanical cores in his palms. His eyes were like dull steel.

> Zek (coldly):

"So you're the Light God's son. Let's see if divine blood means anything when I tear your arms off."

> Lyrion (calmly):

"Try."

The Divine Bell tolled.

> MATCH ONE – START!

---

[PHASE ONE – THE TESTING STORM]

Zek hurled both mechanical cores into the sky. They expanded instantly — one into a jagged titanium serpent, the other into a humanoid battle drone armed with blade arms.

The serpent dove at Lyrion with whip-fast strikes. The drone charged in from the side.

Lyrion moved like water — flowing, not fighting. He dodged the serpent's strikes with millimeter precision, bending his body around each slash. His eyes read patterns mid-motion.

> Zek (snarling):

"Still not attacking?"

> Lyrion:

"You're showing me everything I need."

Zek growled and activated a command sigil. The arena floor cracked as additional spike traps and netting chains surged from hidden glyphs.

Still, Lyrion didn't attack.

He leapt over one trap, sidestepped another, and twisted mid-air, landing behind the charging drone with a palm extended.

> Lyrion (quietly):

"Lightshift Echo: Scatter."

A ring of light exploded from his palm — not destructive, but refractive. The drone froze, blinded by hundreds of illusionary Lyrions reflecting off its sensors.

Lyrion used the distraction to vanish behind a light mirage.

---

[PHASE TWO – SHATTERING FORM]

Zek snarled.

> Zek:

"ENOUGH!"

He threw both hands forward, forming a gravity-locked construct: a massive mechanical titan lined with cursed obsidian veins. Its arms dragged the earth as it stomped forward, its roar metallic and unnatural.

From above, the gods watched silently.

> Drenas, God of Nonliving Creation (to Sylra):

"He's deploying the Bone Automata early."

> Sylra (frowning):

"And wasting it."

Down below, the titan lunged for Lyrion.

Lyrion exhaled.

He extended both hands — and the third seal on his anklet flickered.

A pulse of white light erupted from his core.

> Veloria (startled):

"He's using that form…"

> Ray (wide-eyed):

"His true stance…"

Lyrion's body was outlined by a golden spectral frame. Wings of light extended just barely behind him — not full-fledged divine wings, but a forming concept.

He stepped forward once — and vanished.

When he reappeared, he was behind the titan.

The construct hadn't even turned when—

> Lyrion (softly):

"Solar Fang."

A line of golden plasma slashed upward from Lyrion's hand. The titan cleaved apart in perfect symmetry — its components falling in two smooth halves.

It hit the ground with a hollow clang.

---

[PHASE THREE – FINAL MOMENT]

Zek stepped back, stunned.

> Zek (shaking):

"You… you weren't even trying…"

> Lyrion (walking forward):

"You shouldn't have wasted your energy on intimidation."

> "The light doesn't flinch."

Zek roared and charged with his last construct core — a needle whip bound by cursed essence.

Lyrion's eyes flashed — and he moved.

One step. One light strand.

He dodged the whip, caught the chain mid-strike, and pulled Zek forward into a blinding fist straight to the chest — a mirrored recoil strike enhanced by refracted momentum.

Zek crumpled instantly, groaning in defeat.

---

[DIVINE STADIUM – SILENCE, THEN ROAR]

The stadium burst into cheers.

The Divine Board glowed:

> Winner: Lyrion Alarion – Light School

Status: Qualified – Super Elite (1/20)

The first name etched in divine script across the heavens.

From the Light School platform, Veloria smiled deeply.

> Veloria (whispering):

"He's already walking ahead of us…"

> Rika (smirking):

"Then we just have to catch up."

---

[INT. SHADOW BALCONY – ZYREN'S SIDE]

> Silent Death:

"The gap widens."

> Zyren (coldly):

"He's awakening too soon…"

> "We'll clip his wings before they grow."

---

[INT. DIVINE SEATS – GODLY REACTIONS]

> Alarion, Light God (to Lyria):

"He didn't even scratch the surface."

> Lyria (quietly):

"And yet… the world already trembles."

---

[INT. STADIUM – EXIT TUNNEL]

Lyrion walked through the shimmering gate, sweat beading his brow, but his posture steady.

As he approached the Light School squad—

> Veloria (softly):

"You scared us, taking that long to strike."

> Lyrion (smiling faintly):

"Just wanted to let him show off first."

They walked together a few steps.

> Veloria (curious):

"You were holding back, weren't you?"

Lyrion paused.

> Veloria (more gently):

"I could tell. After your third seal broke… you've grown far stronger. And yet, you didn't use even half of it."

> Lyrion (smiling slightly):

"So you noticed."

Their eyes met — filled not with doubt, but quiet understanding.
