Martin Riley received Otto's call in the middle of a meeting. On the other end, Otto was sobbing so hard he could barely speak.
"Daddy, Mommy... something's wrong with Mommy!"
Earlier, Otto had been resting with his mom, intending to give her a kiss, when he noticed she was burning up and wouldn't wake up no matter how much he tried. Terrified, Otto called for the nanny and then phoned Martin.
The nanny had already called for an ambulance and took the phone to explain to Martin, "Sir, Madam suddenly passed out. I've already called for emergency help."
"I understand," Martin replied, initially thinking Sylvia Byrne was attempting another dramatic gesture. But something about the situation felt different; it seemed like an unexpected incident.
Martin hung up, signaling for the meeting to continue. Yet, Sylvia's image kept flashing in his mind.
