Astra POV
At first I thought the garden was empty until I found Lyra sitting close to the stream still wearing her night wears.
I sighed and walked over to her side and sit down. We said nothing to each other but just stared at the stream.
"I was going to tell you Astra." She said with a soft but broken voice.
"Are you sure Alaric did it?" I asked calmly.
"I can never lie to you Astra. We have come a long way together. I will not ruin my friendship because of some petty lies." She said.
"You have to understand the seriousness of what you are saying. I love Alaric damn too much and with a child there will be serious trouble." I said to her.
"And then there is Damon, who will fight tooth and nail to make sure that he acts irrational about the situation." I added.
Lyra turned around to face me, holding my hand after wiping off tears. "You are my best friend. We are not going to do anything possiblle to ruin our friendship."
"What do you want me to do?" I asked.
