Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: Adding points to the youngest master of Transfiguration in history

Since Damon's sudden attack on Malfoy, the number of wizards who stayed in bed has decreased dramatically - Gryffindor and Slytherin on both sides of the incident need not be mentioned, and Ravenclaw people get up early in the first place. Only Hufflepuff students are not very enthusiastic about getting up early.

But influenced by the students of the other three houses, most of them still get up early.

Today, several weeks have passed since the incident that the young wizards talked about with relish. Some of them are gradually defeated by laziness and can no longer get out of bed.

Then - these people ushered in the second painful regret in their lives.

With the publication of the new issue of "Transfiguration Today" and "Daily Prophet", countless wizards, while repeatedly exclaiming "This is impossible", sent their own letters to the student who is said to be a first-year student at Hogwarts.

Among them, there are questions, inquiries, threats, and discussions; their attitudes are either submissive, humble, radical, or panic.

All kinds of letters were sent from all directions, from all kinds of people.

Red howlers, official notices from the Ministry of Magic sealed with purple wax, anonymous threatening letters with bloody threats, and cursed letters carrying cursed objects.

Countless owls circled in the sky above Hogwarts, and refused to leave for a while because they could not find their target.

The owl shed on the west side of the eighth floor was completely packed. The owls of the young wizards had never seen so many of their kind, flapping their wings and calling non-stop.

The junior wizards kept chirping in the hall, excited by the excitement brought by the owls.

Whether it was inside the hall, outside the hall, in the windows, or outside the windows, wherever you could see, it was all occupied by owls. From time to time, new owls flew into the hall, and flew out again after failing to find Damon's people.

The senior wizards looked at this crazy scene, confused, and wondered what had happened to get to this point.

Could it be that Headmaster Dumbledore has called the Ministry of Magic?

The prefects shouted in the owls, trying to maintain order. Professor McGonagall, who had anticipated this scene in advance, sat in the teacher's seat with a smile on her face. For some reason, only today, only at this moment, she was unwilling to stop everything.

Unless the real owner came to accept this honor that belonged to him alone!

Then, when Damon settled the dragon and brought his roommates to have breakfast, this was the scene he saw.

He didn't have much time to prepare.

When Damon sat down, all the owls filed in, with feathers of various colors intertwined and entangled together. Countless envelopes fell beside Damon, or rushed straight to his head, and some owls fell directly on the plate in front of him, placing the envelopes in front of him.

Hundreds of howler letters burned together beside him, and then they all went silent after Damon waved his wand.

The official notice from the Ministry of Magic shone brightly on the ceiling, and a middle-aged man's voice resounded throughout the hall:

"After deliberation by all members of the Wizengamot and the Ministry of Magic Council, Damon White, a first-year student at Hogwarts, is now awarded the Order of Merlin, Second Class, in recognition of his discovery of 'White's Transfiguration Laws', which has revolutionized the theory of modern transfiguration."

After the majestic voice finished reading, the envelope automatically turned into a round gold medal connected by a purple ribbon, and quickly fell into Damon's hands.

Originally, the award ceremony required him to go to the Ministry of Magic and be awarded in the presence of all members of the Ministry of Magic, but Dumbledore kept it simple considering that Damon was still a student and it was also out of his own wishes.

During the time when the official envelope was read, Damon had been surrounded by a small mountain of envelopes.

Then, the best among them began to show their magical powers.

As if to show off his strength to the new Transfiguration Master, thirty-six envelopes stood out from nearly ten thousand of the same kind and transformed quickly.

The friendlier ones basically turned into natural creatures. The best one turned into a blue mini butterfly, which flew directly to Damon's shoulder and stood quietly, motionless.

The more radical ones were nine of them - they turned into bronze rune chains together, instantly attacking Damon from nine directions, trying to lock all his limbs.

But as Damon waved his wand again, all nine letters were beaten back to their original forms.

Then came the cursed letters with malicious intent. Damon felt some extremely disgusting and evil objects. I was afraid that if he touched them lightly, he would immediately fall into danger - it would be troublesome for other little wizards to encounter such things.

He waved his wand, put all the dangerous items into the magic suitcase, and threw them all into the idle second "mini world", waiting to deal with them slowly later - find a time to throw them to Borgin and Burke's shop, the owner will definitely be interested in these things.

After dealing with the dangerous and conspicuous ones, there was only a pile of ordinary letters that almost reached the ceiling.

Damon waved his wand, and the pile of white envelopes began to riot, all turning into miniature birds.

The boy opened the suitcase beside him, just like a young magician spreading his arms, and all the birds spontaneously poured into the suitcase, endlessly, and the suitcase showed no intention of being filled.

  Everything happened within a minute.

So, the wizards present felt that before they had time to sort out the situation, everything was over again.

They saw Professor McGonagall stand up from the teacher's seat, with an unprecedented smile on her face, and announced loudly:

"Gryffindor adds 150 points for the youngest second-class Merlin medal winner in history, Damon White!"

"Gryffindor adds another 150 points for the youngest Transfiguration Master in history, Damon White!"

That morning, in that very short half an hour, the young wizards present felt that they had seen all the owls they could see in their lifetime that day.

They didn't understand why Damon was the youngest master of Transfiguration in history. The half-bloods among them didn't even understand the meaning of the Order of Merlin, Second Class, but they all heard that Professor McGonagall had added 300 points to Damon alone.

Professor McGonagall was famous for abiding by the rules. Although she was the head of Gryffindor, she never favored students from her own college.

Students from all four colleges knew this very well.

But the more so, the more weight her actions at this time seemed.

What kind of feat did the dueling prince accomplish, and what it meant.

This topic became the eternal topic for the rest of this semester.

Along with this topic, there are two sub-topics that are always brought up together, one for those wizards who sleep in and the other for Slytherin wizards.

Sub-topic 1: Why did they sleep in that damned day?

Sub-topic 2: Why didn't Damon White join Slytherin in the first place?
