...
The overwhelming information swirled in Lukas's mind. At least he now knew where he was—a nation called Shindachi. Whatever the hell that meant.
Then there was the whole FFF rank thing. Although he didn't exactly know what it was, he had a pretty good guess. It was some kind of ranking system, and obviously, FFF rank was the pinnacle.
Right?
"G-god gave swordmaster name?"
Pokey's trembling voice pulled Lukas away from the screen, revealing a crowd of goblins. They looked at him with a gaze of expectation, though they tried to hide it.
'How many did the system say there were?' Lukas thought with a frown. '120 soldiers? And then... how many civilians?'
[1,237 goblins in total, Master]
'Fuck!'
A buffer voice called from the side, different from the usual squeaky goblin voices. "Master, thank you for giving me a proper name."
Turning around, Lukas saw Fred kneeling, his head bowed at almost a 90-degree angle.
Except, it wasn't really Fred. It was like a Fred on some super steroids.
'Since when did he become an average bodybuilder?' Lukas thought with a smirk. 'Is this really because I gave him a name?'
If so, maybe it wouldn't be bad to give a few more goblins their names. Like Pokey.
But 1,237 was a lot.
[C'mon Master, don't be a lazy ass!]
Ignoring his system, Lukas told Fred he was welcome and then turned to Pokey.
Taking in a solemn breath, Lukas said, "Your name will be... Poki!"
'Shit, why did I actually keep his name that?' Lukas berated himself internally. However, Poki seemed to like it at least a little.
"Thank! Thank! Me thank you!" Poki screamed as he fell to Lukas's feet, repeatedly bowing.
Overwhelmed, Lukas could do nothing but nod.
"He give us names?"
"Even me?"
At the same time, an excited chatter erupted throughout the goblins as each of them expected a name. Somehow, all of them were audible even over Poki's screaming gratitude.
'Fuck.'
...
[1,235 names later]
"And your name is Alishia with an sh," Lukas said, offering the 5th variation of the same name to one of the maids. She graciously accepted, repeatedly bowing over and over.
He was sure it was going to bite him in the ass later when he wanted Alicia and instead got Alixia with an x, but what was there to do? His creative juices had been completely exhausted after the first name.
But finally, it was over. He had around 600 steroid abusers and 600 red carpet all-stars crowding him, each of them offering their deepest thanks.
Even the kids had developed into super soldiers and models somehow, except a younger version, of course.
[Kingdom rank upgraded to F]
'F?' Lukas thought.
So, he was wrong. FFF wasn't the op rank. It was bottom of the gutter.
At least now he was less bottom of the gutter. Maybe soon his army could even be regarded as cannon fodder.
Still, Lukas couldn't help but smile as he looked at the new army, headed by Fred. Even if they were weak, they were his.
And maybe one day, the girl brushing beside him would join it too. Instead of killing them with her training.
"Quite impressive stamina," Alara remarked with a smirk.
'Wh-why say it like that?' Lukas thought as his face reddened a little. Especially now, when he had a quest and kingdom and stuff to focus on.
Though, thinking on it a little more, he supposed that gods from his world did sleep around a bit. Especially those Greek ones, like Zeus.
But the truth was, he had more important goals than stupid stuff like romance.
Therefore, he didn't let the insinuation get to his head.
"Hopefully, you still have enough left for me," Alara continued before pushing him with one arm. "Don't think you're getting out of training that easily."
Training.
Something Lukas could focus on. He had spent the entire night trying to decipher her fighting stance, after all.
Hopefully, facing it again would teach him more than those fruitless attempts.
"Training already?"
"Me is stronger now!"
The goblins instantly reacted to Alara saying it was time to train. Scrambling to the nearby weapons barracks, they each grabbed a weapon of choice and then a sparring partner.
Even after a grueling training routine yesterday, both Lukas and his army were ready for today's punishment.
"Relax, guys," Alara said with a chuckle, momentarily pausing the goblins' vicious sparring. "I need to properly teach you some techniques first."
