That evening, the team gathered at Liam's house once again. Everyone knew something was off, and it was time to find out the truth. They suspected the grandma was hiding something—maybe even another book.
"I think we should check her house," Akiko said, looking serious. "There might be another book she didn't show us."
"Yeah, but how do we get in without making her feel bad?" Yui asked. "We can't just accuse her."
"What if we pretend we don't know her and just sneak in?" Liam suggested.
"In other words, break in like robbers?" Yui raised an eyebrow.
Ethan grinned. "Not like robbers—like ninjas!"
Everyone laughed, but the idea wasn't bad.
Before heading out, the team sat around the table and planned their mission. Akiko, taking the lead, pulled out a rough sketch.
"We'll split into two groups," she said. "Team A will stay outside and watch the road. If grandma comes, we'll alert the others. Team B will go inside and search for the book."
Just then, Akiko opened a folder and laid out a map of grandma's house. "I made this last week when we visited. It shows all the rooms."
Everyone leaned in, nodding.
"Alright," Ethan said. "Let's do this."
With the plan ready and everyone clear on their roles, they set off into the evening—nervous, excited, and determined to discover the truth.
