Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: The Kiss That Shouldn’t Have Happened

Rain whipped against Selina's face as she sprinted down the cobbled path outside the villa, bare feet slapping against the soaked ground. Her breath came in gasps, white-hot in the freezing air.

Her eyes were wild—scanning every shadow, every movement.

"Eclipse!"Her voice cracked—hoarse, desperate.

She slipped once, caught herself on a tree trunk, scraped her palm. Didn't stop. Couldn't.

Somewhere, he was leaving her again. And this time, she wouldn't let him disappear into silence.

This wasn't just about finding him.

It was about proving to herself she wasn't too late. That she hadn't poisoned everything beyond repair. That maybe—just maybe—there was something still worth bleeding for.

Because love?It wasn't soft. It wasn't pure.It was a battlefield, and she'd already buried too many pieces of herself.

The storm around her matched the one inside—chaotic, merciless, crashing against the ruins of her composure.Every raindrop felt like a scream she hadn't let out.Every gust of wind a memory she'd tried to bury.

But pain had a way of resurfacing when it rained.

And tonight, everything bled.

Then she saw him.

Standing by the abandoned chapel at the edge of the estate. Shirt soaked. Head bowed. Shoulders tight like he was holding back the weight of the sky.

Selina ran to him, slammed her fists against his chest.

"You bastard. You don't get to walk away without looking me in the eye!"

He caught her wrists—didn't fight back.

"You weren't supposed to remember," he whispered."I prayed you never would."

And suddenly, it wasn't about right or wrong.

It was about them—two broken souls clinging to the only thing they knew:each other.

Even if it meant setting fire to the past.Even if the truth would turn them into enemies.

They were already drowning.Might as well drown together.

Their lips crashed in the rain—not a kiss of passion, but one of punishment. Of grief. Of memories too heavy to carry alone.

It tasted like heartbreak. It tasted like a goodbye disguised as a second chance.

Selina pulled back, tears mixed with rain.

"Tell me who he is."

Eclipse's jaw clenched.His hands dropped.

"He's not just your enemy, Selina.""He's your blood."

The wind howled between them.

And from the shadows—

a figure stepped forward.

Older. Familiar.Eyes just like hers.

"Hello, sister."
