********

It was as if this was the last day on earth. Lightning struck as rain poured onto the ground in an unstable manner. Everywhere was dark, and nobody dared to come out.

In a big mansion with a vast stretch of land, people lay scattered as their voices echoed into the quiet night. The cries of the people mixed with the sound of thunder, lightning, and rain. Both rich and poor knelt under the downpour with many children by their sides.

A young lady stood on the 30th floor of the building, looking down at them with a smirk playing at the corner of her lips.

"Have mercy! Have mercy!" their voices echoed in her ears. But instead of feeling pity, she felt joy. Even the cries of babies under the cold rain stirred no mercy in her there wasn't even a trace of guilt or repression in her eyes.

"Boss, don't you think we should let the children go?" one of her subordinates asked, unable to keep her concern hidden any longer.

"No!!" she snapped furiously. "All of them deserve death." Her voice came out husky, laced with pure venom. She wasn't ready to let them go. In fact, the thought hadn't even crossed her mind.

"But boss, those children did nothing wrong, so—"

She didn't get to finish.

"Seems like you want to join them."

Emma froze. Her heart jumped into her throat as she quickly clamped her lips shut. She knew better than to test Luna. Everyone did. Luna wasn't just heartless she was soulless. An empty shell that breathed only destruction. Calling her wicked would be far too kind.

The room suddenly burst open.

"Boss! Boss!!" a woman stormed in, gasping for air, nearly tripping over her own feet from the speed she'd used to get there.

"Speak!" Luna ordered sharply, not a shred of patience in her voice. She didn't care that the girl could barely breathe.

"The prophecy! The prophecy!" the woman cried, clutching her chest as she tried to catch her breath.

"What about it?" Luna asked, narrowing her eyes, her fingers twitching with subtle warning.

"…It says you're going to die!" she finally blurted out.

Silence.

Without a second of hesitation, Luna drew her gun and fired. A clean shot to the forehead. The woman collapsed instantly, eyes wide open in death.

Goosebumps crawled across Emma's skin like icy fingers.

Luna's chest heaved once then she screamed.

"I won't die!! I'll erase humanity first!! I'll make sure no living creature that breathes remains on the surface of this earth!!!"

Emma stood frozen, her body trembling. She wanted to stop Luna desperately but how? How do you stop someone who has already burned their conscience to ashes?

"Gorge! Gorge!" Luna called out, and a young man rushed toward her.

"Boss," he said, eyes downcast.

"Get the men. Kill them all," she ordered, a twisted smile tugging at her lips.

Gorge's eyes widened. This girl was unbelievable, he thought. But hesitation meant death for him and his family. He bowed quickly and disappeared into the chaos.

The congregation was slaughtered like Christmas chickens. Screams echoed through the air.

"Release the vaccine! Let it wipe out every supernatural being!" Luna laughed, a chilling sound that didn't match her angelic face.

Emma stood frozen, horrified. How had Luna become this ruthless?

Blood rained down, painting the ground red. Cries for mercy were drowned out by the storm and the cries of babies. But Luna's beautiful brown eyes stayed cold, untouched by pity.

One by one, they were killed until the screams faded and only silence remained. Even the rain seemed to halt in reverence to the horror.

Luna stepped outside and surveyed the field of corpses. A smirk danced on her lips.

"Still too many humans left," she muttered. "I need to fix that."

Gorge returned, panting. "The vaccine is ready, boss."

"Then what are you waiting for?" she snapped. "Contaminate their water. And release the poisonous gas I made in the lab. Let it finish the job. Let it kill them all."

Gorge just nodded and left. He had no right to speak one wrong word, and he'd join them.

The rain had stopped, but the lightning didn't. It struck harder, angrier, as if echoing the wrath in the air.

"Emma! What are you looking at? Get some men and dispose of these useless bodies."

And with that, she turned and stepped back into the mansion, pushing through the towering double doors. They creaked open like they hadn't moved in ages.

She entered with quiet confidence, eyes scanning the dim space. In the center of the floor yawned a wide, dark hole and without pause, she jumped in.

Landing with ease, she moved deeper into the dungeon. The darkness was absolute. Only a supernatural being could see through it.

From the place where she always hid it, she pulled out her phone and switched on the flashlight, pointing it at one of the cells.

Inside was a girl, bound in heavy chains and drenched in red. As the light touched her, tears spilled over her cheeks.

"...Please! Please! Spare me!" the girl sobbed.

"Spare you? Why? You deserve death," Luna spat, voice cold and merciless.

The girl cried more. She couldn't believe she was going to die this way. What was worse was that she was going to die at the hands of her best friend. The both of them had grown up together—shared secrets, dreams, and a bond she thought was unbreakable. But now, everything had turned upside down. She couldn't understand what had changed. Why had Luna suddenly turned against humans? Why did she now talk like they were nothing but pests to be erased?

All of a sudden, Luna had become obsessed with the idea of wiping out humanity. The same Luna who used to laugh with her under the stars, who once swore they'd protect each other no matter what. None of this made any sense.

"You were the one who betrayed me first," Luna said joyfully, her voice echoing through the cold, dark dungeon. "And the price to pay for that is nothing but death."

"You think you'll succeed?" she fired back, her voice shaking with emotion. "Bad people never succeed! They always end up dying, and I assure you, Luna Winters—you're no exception!"

"Shut up!" Luna snapped, suddenly stepping forward. Her small hands wrapped tightly around the cold iron bars between them, her knuckles turning white.

"I'll kill you," she said bitterly, gritting her teeth with venom in her voice.

"And you'll go down too, Luna! Your stupid plan won't work!!" Evan shot back, her heart pounding furiously in her chest.

"You really say that?" Luna tilted her head, eyes gleaming with dark amusement. "Are you a hundred percent sure? Because… it already began."

Evan froze, her breath catching. The words hit her like ice. Already began?

"What… what do you mean?" she asked, her voice suddenly small.

"Everyone will die," Luna said coldly, stepping back from the bars. "Including you, Evan."

"And you too, Luna!" Evan screamed, boiling with rage. Her fists clenched at her sides as tears continued to roll down her face. "You're no different than the monsters you claim to fight! If I had the chance right now, I wouldn't even hesitate to kill you!"

Luna smirked but said nothing.

"Just make sure—make sure that I don't get out of here alive," Evan snarled, her voice cracking from the strain. "Because if I do… you're dead meat!"

"Noted," Luna replied simply, her tone icy and unreadable. Without another word, she turned on her heel and walked out of the dungeon. Her figure vanished into the shadows as she climbed the wall effortlessly, like a predator slinking back into the night.

Evan was left alone in the darkness, her chest heaving, her mind racing. She didn't know how or why this had happened—but one thing was certain. If she got out of here… there would be no more mercy.

Luna stepped out of the dungeon, and the next thing she heard was—

"Boss! Boss! Boss!!" one of her male subordinates cried out. His voice was frantic, echoing through the vast hallway like a warning bell. Before she could even puzzle out what was happening, the double doors of the mansion were flung open with a deafening crash. The sheer force shook the walls and sent a chill crawling up her spine.

She knew instantly—it was definitely a supernatural being. No human could do something like that so effortlessly. Her heart thudded once in her chest, and then all instincts screamed danger.

A young man stepped in. His presence was magnetic and terrifying. He had charming black hair that shimmered slightly under the chandelier light, and sharp gray eyes that now burned gold with barely contained fury. His long, supernatural nails glinted like blades, and his sharp canines peeked through clenched lips. His golden garment, made from interlaced irons, shimmered like armor forged by gods. His hair flowed all the way to his waist, wild and elegant at the same time.

He was damn handsome even with that furious expression. Maybe even more so because of it.

"Luna!! You evil creature!" he bellowed, each word echoing with rage. His voice was raw, primal—there was no reasoning behind it, only wrath. With a sudden flash, he released a gleaming sword of pure energy that soared through the air and pierced Luna's chest with terrifying precision. She staggered, gasped—and dropped to the ground, dead.

*********

"Nonsense!" a girl reading the novel snapped, slamming the book shut with a frustrated grunt.

"How could she die?? This doesn't make sense! Who wrote such nonsense?" This was the twentieth time she was reading the novel, but still—always the same ending. Every day, she glanced at her phone, hoping the author's name would appear. Still—nothing. No hint. No update.

"Luna!! Why be heartless?" she cried, her voice cracking as she hurled her phone to the ground. The screen splintered on impact.

"What is going on? Do you think I'll buy you another phone?" a woman with blonde hair barked, stepping into the room with crossed arms and a glare.

"Why do you speak as if you were the one who got the first one?" Luna asked, taken aback by the word 'again'. Her mind spun, the name, the moment, the frustration—it all

felt far too familiar.

Luna hated this woman with a passion. She had lived in hell, tortured not by strangers, but by the very people who were supposed to love and protect her—her own siblings and her mother. The torment wasn't occasional or accidental. It was constant, deliberate, and cruel. Her days were filled with cold glares, sharp words, and bruises that never had the chance to heal. The walls of her home weren't a refuge; they were a cage.

School, which should've offered some escape, only added to her misery. There, too, she was ridiculed, mocked for things beyond her control. Her appearance, her silence, her mere existence—it was all a target. The bullying followed her like a shadow, thick and inescapable. Not a single soul reached out, not even once.

Everyone in this world seemed to hate her. It wasn't just a feeling—it was her reality. People didn't just ignore her, they made sure she knew she didn't belong. The weight of it all pressed down on her, suffocating and relentless.

In that kind of life, the only escape she had was between the pages of novels. Books became her sanctuary, her lifeline. Inside them, she found stories of love, justice, courage—everything she was denied in her real life. While her body remained trapped in torment, her mind could soar to places where she mattered.

"You've lost every single respect in my eyes, so don't expect me to be nice," Luna snapped, her voice steady but cold. She had learned long ago not to cry in front of them. After all, she was used to their torture. And with every insult, every blow, her heart grew more calloused, more immune.

"Do what you want!" the woman said, exiting through the main door.

"Yeah! Of course!" Luna shouted. Filled with anger, she strode to the kitchen and turned on the gas cooker. But she was too frustrated to cook, so she returned to the sitting room, throwing herself onto the couch. Within minutes, she drifted into sleep.

********

When she woke up, a cold liquid was trickling over her body. Blinking her eyes open, she realized she was in a bathtub. Her eyes flew open wider. If she remembered correctly, she had fallen asleep on the couch, right?

But it wasn't the bathtub that caught her attention—it was its breathtaking beauty. She definitely wasn't home. Her house could never look this luxurious out of nowhere, right?

Glancing up, she gasped.

At the door stood a breathtaking figure—a goddess with black hair and enchanting gray eyes that could leave any girl spellbound. Did someone this beautiful actually exist?

And as if his face wasn't enough to make her toes curl, his abs were…

'Damn!!' she thought, taking a better look. Broad chest, slim waist, broad shoulders and…

'Hell no!!' Was he standing naked??

She quickly averted her gaze and looked down at herself.

'Am I also naked?' She wanted to scream, but she held it in.

When she looked up again, his face was suddenly inches from hers. His piercing gray eyes made it impossible for her to look away.

And then, she screamed.

"Ahhh!!!!!"

He stepped back, slightly taken aback by her sudden reaction.

"Scared already?" he mumbled. "Aren't you the one who wants this? Can't handle it?" His tone was mocking as he chuckled.

"W...who are you?" she mustered the courage to ask.

His beautiful gray eyes flickered with surprise.

"Who am I? Did you lose your memory or something? I'm Ezekiel Elliott," he said, shaking his head in disbelief.

'She must be crazy,' he thought to himself as he walked boldly out of the bathroom.

She immediately stood up, grabbing the nearest towel she could find, and rushed to the mirror. What she saw made her gasp in wonder.

Brown eyes, long black tamed hair, and slender skin.

"This is not me!!" It was her, yes, but she had always lived a life of suffering. There was no way she could have tamed her body and skin to look this beautiful.

Suddenly, she remembered the novel.

"No, no, no!! It can't be!" She touched her cheeks, her fingers gently brushing over the softness of her skin.

"Didn't he say he's Ezekiel? Wait... what? Did my soul transfer into Luna's body?"

"Boss, he's gone," Emma said from outside the bathroom.

'Boss? Wait, isn't that what they usually called Luna in the book? Am I really her now...?'

"Ahhhh!!!" She screamed, running her fingers harshly through her hair.
