Chapter 163: Elira's Vision
ELIRA POV
The power wasn't trying to possess me like it had with other wolves. It was showing me things. Horrible, impossible things that hadn't happened yet.
Visions.
I tried to close my eyes, but it didn't matter. The pictures burned behind my eyelids anyway.
I saw Aria lying dead in a pool of blood, her mate bond to Lucien broken forever. I saw Kael standing over her body, his eyes sparkling with shadow magic. I saw Jaxon screaming as something dark and twisted crawled out of his chest.
"No," I whispered. "This isn't real."
But then the picture changed, and I saw something even worse.
I saw myself.
I was standing in the vampire queen's council room, but I looked different. Older. Scarred. My left arm was missing, and there was a strange mark burned into my scalp.
Vision-me was talking to Queen Seraphina, but I couldn't hear the words. I could only see the fear on the vampire queen's face as she listened.
