The moment Ethan and Reyna stepped out of the boss room, the stone which was beneath their feet started to shake. Just as they were about to leave, the dungeon exit was sealed with a heavy slam.
"What the hell?" Reyna placed her hand on her greatsword as quickly as possible, eyes narrowing. "this wasn't part of the plan. Ya know something about this, Ethan?"
Ethan's system interface materialized in front of him, and golden letters of it started flashing across his eyesight.
[Sudden Quest Activated]
["Unlock the Heart."]
[Objective: Kiss Reyna.]
[Reward: Dungeon Exit Unlocked.]
[Failure: Permanent entrapment.]
Ethan sighed "No fucking way."
He turned to Reyna, who was already glancing at the sealed exit of the dungeon.
Reyna thought for a second and said."Something's off. I've cleared a lot of dungeons before—nothing like this has ever happened to me."
Then she glanced over his shoulder. "Ya seem unusually calm as a newbie who is about to be trapped in here forever."
"I am just good at hiding my emotions, nothing else." He said, stepping a little closer to Reyna.
[Charm: passive aura activate.]
Reyna blinked as her emotions softened a bit, she glanced at his face. "What…are ya doing, Ethan?"
Ethan placed a hand gently on her shoulder and looked into her eyes. "Look. We both don't know that how long this will last. But maybe… we don't have to panic."
The tension fell into the chamber. Ethan's voice was lower now, it was smooth and quieter than before. Not cocky— but sincere. "I think there's something about you, Reyna. You move like you're alone in this world but, you don't have to."
She stared at him for a moment. "Where is this coming from now?"
He smiled softly. "Call it an intuition. Or… just the feeling that I got after seeing you fight that boss? Fierce, beautiful and strong."
He let his fingers lightly brush a strand of her hair out of her face. "I'm drawn to you, Reyna."
The silence started to blur between them. Reyna's eyes widened in shock as Ethan did that. She looked away— but it was not because of anger. It was because of hesitation.
Then Ethan leaned forward, slowly, as if he was waiting for her to stop him or something like that.
But, she didn't.
Their lips met. Gently at first— it was just a whisper of contact. Then it turned into something deeper, passionate. The air around stopped flowing, it felt like the dungeon itself had paused, just to watch them.
When they finally pulled apart from each other, Reyna's breath was unsteady, she gasped for air. "Ya…idiot." She was blushing too hard.
Before either of them could say another word, a golden light surrounded them. Ethan felt the pull of transportation—his body started to vanish into thin air.
When he landed, he was outside of the dungeon and in front of the gate of Adventurer's Guild. Alone.
He touched his lips, then he smirked. "Well. At least I cleared a quest."

She stumbled out of the dungeon in an entirely different place. It was the capital city of the Empire. Her heart was pounding way too loudly that she was hearing her heartbeat.
"That idiot…" she whispered under her breath, pressing a hand to her huge breast.
And yet—she couldn't stop the tiny smile from forming on her face.
"I'll find him again. I sure will." She murmured. "Ethan Graves… wait for me, I will get ya."
She turned towards the gates of the capital city, still blushing because of that kiss. "Next time… I'll be the one who will surprise ya, Ethan."
