Chapter 13 - Party Crashers

Backstage at the massive stadium venue, tension and excitement filled the air. Final checks were underway, and the energy backstage was electric. Mitsunari stood quietly in the corner, breathing slowly as he went over his verse for, We're Back one last time. Across from him, the members of VIRE were huddled together, syncing up mentally before the biggest performance of their careers. Tao adjusted his headset while giving final instructions to the sound team and Rui was calmly helping the VIRE members get into position. Mizuha, wearing a VIP pass, stood off to the side as her eyes glued to Mitsunari with pride and anticipation.

The lights in the stadium dimmed and a voice boomed over the speakers, "Ladies and gentlemen… before tonight's main act, we have a surprise performance!" Gasps echoed through the arena. The crowd buzzed with confusion and curiosity. Whispers turned into shouts as fans tried to guess who it could be. Then, the beat dropped it was a explosive, sharp rhythm that hadn't been heard before. The stage lit up in pulses of red and silver as fog rolled across the floor.

Out of the smoke, five silhouettes emerged, moving in perfect sync to the beat. It was VIRE. The crowd erupted into screams with some in excitement and others in disbelief. The choreography hit hard with precision and confidence. Their new style was more mature and more refined. It was clear: this was not the same VIRE that had debuted under Floor7. This was a rebirth.

As We're Back built to its bridge, the lights flickered again and then came Mitsunari. Bursting through center stage in rhythm with the beat as the roar of the crowd nearly drowned out the music. His verse came in fast and clean, perfectly weaving into the energy of the track. He and his former bandmates performed the final chorus together, executing their choreography in full unity for the first time in a very long time.

When the music faded and the lights settled, Mitsunari stepped forward while gripping the mic. The crowd was still cheering and many fans crying at the reunion they never thought they'd see. "I know this was a surprise," Mitsunari began with his voice steady, "but it's something that needed to happen. We've reconciled. We've moved on. And now, VIRE is back stronger than ever. As for me…" he paused, glancing back at his old group, "I'll still be continuing as a solo artist but I'm proud to share this stage with them one last time. Thank you for believing in all of us."

The crowd exploded again as fans chanting both "VIRE" and "Mitsunari" together for the first time in what felt like ages. It was a moment of closure, not just for the group but for the fans who had watched them fall apart publicly. Social media lit up in real time, clips going viral and hashtags trending worldwide. Fans were united, shocked, and emotional.

Not everyone was celebrating. High above in the stadium's executive booth, Floor7 executives watched with stunned silence. They hadn't anticipated this as they hadn't even believed it was possible. No press leaks, no rumors it was just a perfectly executed ambush performance. While VIRE's name rang out across the venue it was Floor7 who remained quiet, fists clenched.

Still the show had to go on. XCITE was ushered out after the dust settled, and their performance went as planned. The boys delivered, energetic and polished but the magic of the night had already happened. The comparisons online were immediate. While XCITE's performance impressed, the emotional shockwave of VIRE's return and Mitsunari's feature dominated the conversation.

After XCITE finished, Floor7 issued a post-show statement to the press. It acknowledged the success of XCITE and boldly proclaimed them as "the future of Floor7 Entertainment." No mention of VIRE. No recognition of the impact their return had just made. The message was clear that Floor7 was moving on and rewriting the narrative. However, for fans the truth had already been seen. VIRE was back. Mitsunari had found peace. No matter what Floor7 said, the night belonged to Stax Entertainment.
