Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 New Talent Unlocked: Body of Steel!

Rian didn't even need to check—he already knew what was on that USB drive.

Oliver's life insurance, no doubt.

A digital ledger. Years of dirty dealings, tribute payments, and shadowy operations—everything the Blood Revolver boss had done for the puppet master behind the scenes.

But Rian wasn't interested in the politics—for now.

Still, he tucked the drive into his inventory along with the rest of the loot.

It might come in handy later.

SHWIP!

The White Wolf clone vanished into thin air.

When the security guards finally noticed the unlocked door and came to investigate, they would find only a pile of empty crates and a discarded car tarp.

Back at Rose Garden Apartments, Rian opened his eyes.

A slow grin curled across his lips.

Jackpot.

Taking down Blood Revolver had been absurdly profitable.

Just in cash? $280 million.

Cold. Hard. Green.

Even most billionaires in the U.S. couldn't produce that much liquid cash at a moment's notice.

And that was just the beginning.

Add in the gold bars—200 kilograms—and the solid gold Ferrari 911?

Ridiculous.

Granted, the car couldn't have been entirely gold. After all, gold was soft—chassis, engine, suspension, all had to remain standard metals.

But just the body shell? Easily over 500kg of pure gold.

He wasn't rich now. He was obscene.

And that wasn't even the biggest gain.

BOOM.

System resources had exploded across the board.

Every card pool had surged. His inventory space had leapt from 8 to 64 cubic meters.

He'd unlocked a brand-new talent skill: Body of Steel—and it came with a Talent Upgrade Card.

Five wiretap cards. Five free stat points.

And best of all?

20,000 Justice Points.

Enough for 20 consecutive gacha draws.

But first—he activated the new talent.

The card dissolved into light, and a fresh ability appeared in the Talent Skills section:

Body of Steel – Lv.1 (Iron)

At the same moment, a notification pinged—

Reproduction (Lv.4 Master) has been replaced by Body of Steel.

Then the sensation hit.

ZZZZT!

A powerful current surged through him—every muscle and bone fiber crackled with raw energy.

His eyes flicked to his stats.

+1 to all four attributes.

As his body stabilized, he took a deep breath, analyzing the changes.

He could feel it—his bones had grown denser. Heavier.

Muscle mass had actually decreased slightly, but the fibers themselves were tighter, more refined. More lethal.

His height hadn't changed, but he looked slimmer. Sharper. Toned for war.

"Hah! This talent... 'Body of Steel' is insane.""I wonder—if I keep upgrading it… could I tank bullets head-on?"

No hesitation.

He slammed the Talent Upgrade Card into the new skill.

Body of Steel – Lv.1 (Iron) → Lv.2 (Bronze)

WHAM!

Another wave of electric heat washed over him, even stronger than before.

He staggered—but the stat panel updated:

+1 to all four attributes again.

Rian looked at himself in the bathroom mirror.

Slimmer. Denser.

He might have shrunk by a centimeter, but his skeletal structure was rock-solid.

Every muscle gleamed like it had been chiseled by a god.

Strength. Reflexes. Durability. Every combat metric had jumped.

Even the way he moved had changed—when he reached out to turn the faucet, he nearly snapped it off.

"Whoops…"

He relaxed, calming his force output, then turned to his five free stat points.

With his new baseline stats:

Strength: 13Agility: 13Constitution: 14Spirit: 13

He distributed the points carefully:

+2 Strength+1 Agility+2 Constitution

New stats:

Strength: 15Agility: 14Constitution: 16Spirit: 13

Perfect balance—combat optimized.

As for skill upgrades? He could wait.

He had 20 gacha pulls coming. With that many, he might unlock entirely new skills.

Why waste upgrade cards before knowing what else he might get?

Rian washed his hands with precision, dried them, then muttered a few mock-spiritual phrases:

"Three Pure Ones, Four Royals, Buddha, Avalokiteśvara..."

Not that he believed in them. Definitely not in that doomsday cult's tentacle god.

"System."

His voice turned sharp.

"Twenty consecutive draws—now!"
