"Akutagawa!!"
I'm suddenly screaming for the one that's definitely here, which earns back a confused look from the Guild members and a surprising look from Kyouka.
This is my one and only bet to get out of this alive, a risky card in all honesty… And frankly, I doubt he would deny such a request.
"Let's make a deal, Akutagawa!! If you help us out of this mess, I'll lead you to Dazai-san!!"
"????"
I screamed out the terms of my contract to Akutagawa, as everyone else started to be puzzled with what I'm trying to do. And then, just behind them, a shadow slowly manifested, looking straight in my eyes with dead-man eyes.
"The thing you say… is it real?"
The Guild members immediately look back the instant he finished his question with a rather shocking manner, probably due to how the guy can casually appear behind them without them knowing.
"Obviously! Why should I lie about that?"
"… Very well."
And with that, countless beast-like heads appear from his shadow cloak along with an intensify bloodlust, as everyone else from the Guild immediately puts up their guard.
Seeing that, I silently let out a sigh of relief, thankfully that I have already orchestrated the whole thing beforehand.
… Well, not exactly as in "I somehow orchestrated Akutagawa to be my quote-unquote personal stalker", but more like in "I make the Guild send someone to be my stalker". Frankly, I hope they send one of their lowly assassins, preferably from the Black Lizard group.
That being Akutagawa isn't exactly my point to be honest, but it somehow work I guess ~
As I was still thinking, Akutagawa started to attack the Guild member with his behemoths, which deem all the members to fall back to avoid getting hit by them.
"Dammit, what's with this guy?!"
"This is… the Mafia assassin, Ryunosuke Akutagawa I think."
"The heck is the Mafia assassin doing here?!"
"Probably just like the lady over there, for an all out war I presume?"
Everyone started to make speculation about Akutagawa's involvement at this time, but that didn't stop Akutagawa from attacking them at all.
"I'll kill you all… and make him recognize…!"
Whispering with a rather maniac manner, Akutagawa let out his whip and behemoth uncontrollably, as the Guild member can only avoid without time to actually make any countertack at all… or that's what I wanted to believe in.
"Boring…"
"?!"
Lovecraft, seemingly bored with the whole running thing or else, grabbed the behemoth coming his way and threw it, along with Akutagawa, back in our direction with little to no effort.
"What the…?!"
"Figured."
Kouyou looks at the long-coated man with an unbelievable face, while I just exhale in dissatisfaction. Of course the Great Old Ones can throw a little child like a ragdoll…
"Thanks, Lovecraft-chan, you saved us big time."
"Hmph…"
Twain expresses his gratitude toward Lovecraft, but he just lets out a huff with no expression. Meanwhile, Akutagawa immediately stood back after getting thrown toward our location, eyes glaring bloodlusted intentions straight at them.
"Hold yourself down, kid."
A quiet yet convincing sound comes from Kouyou with a determined face, as Akutagawa bloodlust suddenly fades away as if to comply with her. Seems like in the end, despite his desperate attempt to get recognized by Dazai, he still has some control over himself…
Hm… this could work for me…
"Thanks for the assist, Mr.Akutagawa."
"… Shut up."
… Yeah, doesn't seem like I can fix him immediately. Damn Dazai, you really left some scar in this poor kid's heart…
"!!"
But before I can continue my talk with him, a bunch of tentacles suddenly sprout toward us all, forcing us all to jump out of the way, with me the last one barely making the move.
Motherf—!!! Why does it always "barely escape"?! And don't they know some manner of waiting?!
I then take out the phone I take from Kunikida and dial in Kyouka number, and the Demon Snow then manifests above my head once more, ready to strike at any given moment.
"Demon Snow, do your thing!"
Immediately after I finished my command, Demon Snow blew away all the tentacle with her blade and lunged toward Lovecraft, but he didn't even budge on bit against the demon being at all nor showing any interest in any way.
[CRUNCH!]
But before the strike could connect, Lovecraft just casually yeeted Demon Snow back at the building beside the park with little to no effort, to the shock of Kouyou and a slight annoyance of me, as he slowly make his way toward us all while his "companions" busy stalling Akutagawa for now.
Hm, so straight brute force isn't enough… Wait, why do I even try that? I already knew he's crazily strong from the manga?
Oh well, at least the guy didn't look at the sky though.
When Lovecraft's just a few steps away from us, something big crushed down on him, with the figure of Demon Snow and Golden Demon once again returning by my side.
What just happened, my dear reader? It's quite simple really, just some office tables which Golden Demon secretly carried and dropped down on him.
But still, despite the impact, I highly doubt that can actually hurt him in any way. So as the most sane person living in real life, I hold both Kouyou and Kyouka's hands and, ignoring their surprise, make my way out of the park.
Everyone else started to notice our departure and try to intervene, but Akutagawa is still much of a hassle for them to ignore. And with that, we somehow successfully make our way out of the park, leaving one wild beast struggling with the Guild behind.
After some running like mad man, or family as I would love to, we finally stopped at the entrance of the commercial street, one where I and Kunikida had been earlier.
No sign of someone following us, so I would love to say that we're safe… But still, better keep up the guard. I then looked back at Kyouka, now still breathing heavily from the running, and started to ask her.
""You okay, Kyouka?""
Surprisingly, another voice was stacking on top of mine, as my gaze immediately pinning on Kouyou who did the exact same thing as mine.
""You…""
Again, our voices stacked on each other, as our gaze then became annoying while Kyouka started to look up between us with a clear question mark on her head.
"… You first."
Let out a tiresome sigh, I signal Kouyou to talk first, as she then begins to lead the conversation.
"Well then, first of all, I wanted to thank you for your contribution in saving Kyouka… But still, I still won't accept her to be with you Agencies."
"… Why?"
I slightly tilt my head with her response, as a green vein pops up on Kouyou foreheads.
"Why?! Didn't your actions just now already speak for itself?! You using her for your own good, not even care about her well-being in a bit—"
"I mean why are you still being stubborn?"
Hearing that, Kouyou then widens her eyes all confused, as I then begin to take the lead back from her.
"Let me ask, why do you believe that she can only live only by your way? After all, her ability isn't even her own!"
"You… knew?"
Kouyou is clearly shocked by my relation, as the truth about Kyouka's abilities is still anonymous to most of everyone, while Kyouka just looks up at me with a rather complicated look.
"How did y—"
"Doesn't matter, the point is why, why do you think she's similar to you?"
"It's…"
Kouyou then slowly turns away with a difficult look, seemingly can't make out the reasons for her affection toward Kyouka, albeit a bit one-sided.
Well, the reasons for her affection towards Kyouka could be explained by one word… pity.
After all, Kyouka's life has already been hurling downward since the incident, as everyone now deem her the killer that mercilessly took her parents' life away. Kouyou must've seen her situation similar to her own, a child whose light was brutally taken away, was forced to exist by taking away others light…
Personally, the whole Kyouka past is pretty BS if you ask, like whose mother wanted to frame her children as a murderer like that?
I mean, Kyouka mom did try to leave her with something, but it didn't have to be the frickin Stand!! Why can't she just off'ed herself with Demon Snow, but yet forcefully transfer the ability on the child and make it kill herself, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER VERY EYES!!!
In conclusion, Kyouka mom did try to protect her by leaving Kyouka with Demon Snow, but was kinda fumbling in specifically how…
"Well then, if you excused us, we have to return back at the Agenc—"
"You."
As I was trying to leave a concerned Kouyou behind to go back to the office along with Kyouka, Akutagawat suddenly showed up right behind me, whole body drenched in blood.
… Okay, how the heck did the guy return that fast? Didn't he still fight the Guild members just now?! Did he actually kill them for good?!
"Take me to the Agency, now!"
Akutagawa looked straight into my eyes with bloodlusted looks, with countless spiking clothes poking at me in every possible direction…
