Chapter 14 - New beginnings

Charles' Point of View.

"Ace, my perfect ace daughter, has done it again. She was truly ace. She cracked the vault open and made us yearn for what was inside." That was Milan, my wife, exclaimed after Ace decoded the vault's mechanism.

Instead of its original contents, she had replaced them with her sister's name as the new access code.

When I asked her the reason, she simply stated it was because Vesta had sustained an injury.

Later, after she finished eating, all her sisters gathered before her, except for Vesta. Ace then called Vesta to input her name, and the vault sprang open.

We were all surprised, but Ace calmly explained that she had already changed the code to Vesta's name.

"Straight down my digestive system, I wish these stones could be flushed down there," Swiss declared, her eyes fixed on the diamond. Her peculiar way of expressing that the stones were exquisite.

It was a surreal sight – the hands of orphanage girls holding diamonds. The irony of the world. They could barely believe their own eyes, repeatedly touching and picking them up.

Oscar even shed tears.

Amidst the family's awe, only Ace remained composed, seemingly unfazed by the diamond's brilliance.

The truth was, she had accomplished this feat in the dead of night, and she did it for me. It was also my first time laying eyes on a diamond.

I allowed my daughters to revel in their victory and admire the diamonds for as long as they wished.

Afterward, we carefully collected all the diamonds and secured them back in the vault. Our next priority was to find a larger house that could comfortably accommodate our grown family.

During the house search, I sought out a very close friend, Polowski.

A Polish man who has spent most of his life in America. We were high school classmates and have remained steadfast friends ever since. He now owns a thriving manufacturing company producing wear, with branches in America, his native Poland, and Africa.

"Trust" is the cornerstone of any bond, be it friendship or a relationship.

My friend and I shared an unwavering trust. I knew he would never betray me, even under extreme duress.

My visit concerned a special request: I needed him to create customized clothing for us.

Polowski had been exceptionally bright since our school days, and I had complete faith in his ability to design something remarkable.

I explained our situation to him, and he asked me to return at a later time.

When I went back, he had crafted customized vests, caps, hand gloves, head warmers, hoods, and, surprisingly, customized bags designed for both refunds and charitable donations.

Each item featured a unique logo derived from the word "DAUGHTERS," rendered in fiery script and accompanied by eight stars.

Two stars were positioned at the top, with the remaining six aligned beneath them.

The logo was a masterpiece. The two upper stars symbolized Milan and me, while the six below represented our six daughters.

Vesta, Helen, and I left the house hunting for Milan and the others.

We donned our new vests and caps. Helen and I did, while Vesta preferred the vest and head warmer, which suited her well.

I chose Helen and Vesta to accompany me to Mexico because of their unique capabilities. Vesta possessed a wild unpredictability, and Helen was remarkably resilient.

We were venturing into a place where we could exchange the diamonds for a substantial sum of money, and various unforeseen complications could arise. I trusted these two the most to handle such a situation.

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the people's demeanor. We received a respectful welcome, warm hospitality, and prompt service.

The transaction proceeded without a hitch. We presented the diamond, and they handed over the agreed-upon payment.

I had anticipated one hundred million dollars, but they gave us one hundred and fifty million dollars instead, which was the true appraised value of the diamond.

Returning home, we divided the money into three equal portions of fifty million dollars each.

One portion was placed in our new customized bag and returned to the deceased's son, the rightful owner of the diamond, who had been tragically duped and murdered at the mansion.

Another portion was kept at home for our family, and the final part was divided into ten equal amounts of five million dollars each. These sums were then donated to ten different orphanage homes under the name "DAUGHTERS."

Before our return from Mexico, Milan and the others had already found and acquired a new home that perfectly suited their tastes, and it was excellent for me as well.

It was indeed a remarkable acquisition – a large building standing alone in a secluded area along the road.

Conveniently located not too far from the city, it also boasted an excellent surrounding area ideal for training.

They awaited my approval, which I readily gave. We immediately began the process of setting it up, acquiring and installing all the necessary facilities for our work. It was a true new beginning.

Helen's Point of View.

I accompanied my father to Mexico, along with my eldest sister, Vesta. Before leaving, we concealed weapons in various parts of our clothing.

Knives, handguns, grenades, and even a sword disguised as a walking staff that Father carried. None of it proved necessary, as our negotiations were surprisingly smooth and reliable.

We even received more money than we had anticipated. I had mentally prepared for a shootout and intense fighting, but the people we dealt with were exceptionally respectful.

We returned home with our money safely, and it was divided equally among us. Our share was used to purchase a new home – a beautiful one situated in a pleasant and lovely environment. I no longer needed to travel to a separate gymnasium for training.

The new house had its own integrated security system. Behind it lay beautiful woods, and a shooting range was conveniently located nearby.

There is an abundance of space now, a stark contrast to our previous cramped quarters.

The layout and setup of the new home would undoubtedly make our work more efficient.

No police or any other agencies should be able to trace us here or detect any unusual activities.

It truly is a new beginning, and Father has already made another exciting discovery: gold to pursue.
