Tom glared at him, feeling enraged, but he held himself, he wasn't going to dirty his hand again with this pork's blood. "I don't care, this isn't the first time I have gotten rid of peasants like you, and besides who will care after I am done eliminating a lowlife like you. You found yourself where your class shouldn't be. And let me make it clear to you, I don't care whatever relationship you might have with her, because today will be the end of it all"
Jackie inhaled "I'm very well looking forward to it" Raising his gaze to meet to Tom's gaze "Be quick with it, end me now, if you fail I'm going to make you regret it" His energy was drilling out from the severe punches rendered on his face, his eyes were swelled. The fear consuming him at first had long gone, now he felt nothing but rage and emptiness. Tom at the other hand was perplexed by Jackie's sudden change, the way he spoke_.
"Don't worry about that, your death is already staring at you in the face" Said Tom and moved away, gesturing one of the men who was huger than the rest of them. The guy stood out and stomped towards Jackie. He grabbed him by the neck, tightening his grip on his neck, he lifted him to his feet and dragged him towards what looked like the edge of the land.
Fear engulfed Jackie at the view of the landscape before his eyes, he wasn't aware they were at the coast all this while. The huge man tightened his grip on his neck once more and lifted him up, his toes merely touched the ground. Jackie wasn't in the right state to think on the kind of strength the man possessed. As he struggled under the man's grip, the image of his uncle flashed before his eyes. How would his uncle feel if he ever found out that he was death? Was the last thing that came to his mind before he felt gravity pulled him down into the vast ocean below.
"Why didn't you shoot him?" Kian, one of the men asked Tom with a confused look. Kian was Tom's best person and best friend, as both were birds of the same feather and shared the same preference.
"I never wished to see him die so quickly, I wanted his death slow"
Kian walked closer to Tom and said in a low voice "You must be holding a heavy resentment for that guy, I have never seen you kill anyone with such technique"
Jackie glanced at him, returning his gaze to the vast stormy ocean, he stated "Shooting him can serve as an evidence against us, and right now... I don't want the corps getting in our business" Was the reason he gave, and with that, he walked away. Kian stared at the vast ocean for what seemed like a handful of seconds before following suit.
"Clean all the evidence" Voiced Tom as he made his way into the car, followed by Kian and the car drove out, leaving the rest of the men at the site.
....
The next day, at the campus, Indie was walking across the hallway, conversing with Jennifer, when her eyes fell on Omen, who was engaging in a conversation with someone. Her mind wandered to Jackie. To think of it, she had not seen him the entire day. Was it about what happened last night? Was he avoiding her? Was he even present today? The questions kept running in her mind. She admitted it, she wasn't fair with him that yesterday, her reaction were rude, she shouldn't have reacted that way for a common accident.
Feeling the urge to find the answer to her inquisitiveness, Indie found her legs taking her to Omen, leaving behind her friend, who was busy exchanging greetings with someone else.
"Omen" She called out.
Omen turned abruptly, seeing Indie, a grin appeared across his face "Hey, Indie" He greeted
"Hi, Omen" She smiled, tightening her grips on the books held to her chest.
"Can we, Just… I mean have a little talk?"
"Yea, yea, sure" Omen offered, dismissing the tiny guy who he was previously discussing with.
"Have you seen Jackie today?" Asked Indie.
"No. Is everything okay?" Omen creased his brows.
"Yes. It's just that I haven't seen him today"
Omen hummed, nodding his head in reciprocation, then her distressed voice came again.
"Do you have any idea where he might be?" Indie's eyes widened, conveying worries.
Omen shook his head "The last time we talked and have seen each other, was yesterday" He said. Suddenly he snapped his finger, as if being struck with an idea. Indie startled, hope flickering in her honeyed pupils, with the thought that Omen have gotten an idea of Jackie's where about, probably of what he might be doing at the instant. With the expectation of hearing the answer, she had been waiting eagerly, what she heard deflated everything.
"That's unlike him! He hardly comes late to classes not to mention missing classes" He traced his fingers on his chin, as if deep in thought "Something must be amiss"
"Have you tried giving him a call?" Asked Indie.
"Yea, that's my normal routine, you know..."
Indie narrowed his eyes
"I tried reaching him today, but his line wasn't accessible, I wonder why" Said Omen.
