Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 : Admiral Speyer & Jim Raynor

Kenthelion felt satisfied with the list he had compiled. Now, the only thing left was to decide who would lead the expedition to the capital planet, Bloodmaw.

He opened the Mall System once more, his eyes landing on Admiral Speyer. "This one fits perfectly," Kenthelion thought. Speyer's experience and reputation as a general from the Warhammer universe made him an ideal candidate.

Still, Kenthelion wanted one more person. As he scrolled through the options, he came across Jim Raynor—along with his warship, the Hyperion. "This is a bundle deal," he muttered. "If I summon Raynor, I get Matt Horner too. One general, one battleship captain. Perfect combo."

But then doubt crept in. Raynor was a rebel icon from the StarCraft universe, while Speyer was a hardened military leader from Warhammer—two men with clashing ideologies. Could they even work together?

After a brief pause, Kenthelion sighed and made his decision.

"Ah, whatever. They'll either adapt… or kill each other. As long as the mission moves forward."

With that, Kenthelion summoned them both.

System: "Master, the generals you've chosen... are certainly unique."

System: "But don't worry, Master. Even if Jim Raynor and the others become upset when they see you committing genocide... they'll come around eventually. Especially once they see how well you treat your people."

Kenthelion nodded slowly, agreeing. "Yeah, back when I played StarCraft, I thought Jim Raynor was so cool… like a space cowboy."

With that, Kenthelion began distributing troops and warships between the two—Speyer and Raynor. The preparations for Bloodmaw were officially underway.

Kenthelion felt satisfied after reviewing the division of warships for the two generals. Without delay, he sent the data to Castellan Ursarkar E. Creed—let him handle those two.

The mission was split in two. Speyer would travel to the capital of the Bloodmaw Empire, while Jim Raynor was tasked with rescuing the enslaved humans—on one condition: reclaim human territory without letting a single alien survive.

Kenthelion didn't care whether the land once belonged to the Human Federation or not. Past or present, everything within his sight was his. Simple as that.

Speyer was once known as the Chosen Emperor. He led an expeditionary fleet into the Warp for eight hundred years. During that time, Abaddon got kicked around and beaten up. The joint fleet even crushed the Eldar and turned Titanium into an underground prison.

As for Jim Raynor—he was a rebel. Alongside his close friend Tychus Findlay, and with Matt Horner as the commander of the Hyperion, they stormed the Zerg-infested planet Char to save his lover, Kerrigan.

He even killed Arcturus Mengsk, and launched an assault on Amon's lair, and though the Protoss helped open the warp gate, it was still damn impressive. A legendary commander, no doubt.

Now, with such extraordinary people serving Kenthelion, how could he not feel pleased? Even though the two commanders had opposing personalities, Kenthelion believed they could work together—for humanity's sake.

"All right, my business here is done," Kenthelion said. "Kahn, come take a walk with me. And also, organize a meeting with all personnel—the national church, the Mechanicus, the court, the assassins, and everyone else."

Kenthelion knew clearly: conquering a nation was far easier than ruling it. He had to accompany the national education staff every single day—and it annoyed him to no end.
