Chapter 14 - Biological Stance

"Yes!"

Bullseye was instantly on board.

He suddenly found his former boss's corpse oddly satisfying.

It was like a good luck charm—trading up for a new, unstoppable boss.

All ancient monsters, playing their games.

After years in the underworld, Bullseye had been a mercenary, an assassin, a detective, and even a lawyer.

While he'd had nearly a decade with Fisk, for men like them…

Bullseye could stab Heisenberg in the back at the end, and that would be the extent of his loyalty to Fisk.

As for now, right now!

No one could stop Bullseye from pursuing a better life!

With that thought, Bullseye accepted the mission and turned to leave the meeting room.

But he'd only taken half a step when Heisenberg called him back.

"Hey, wait a second."

Heisenberg's face was filled with relief as he stopped Bullseye.

Look at these villains—so efficient, ready to work at the slightest disagreement.

But he couldn't let Bullseye leave just yet.

Heisenberg pointed at Fisk's corpse.

"Don't forget to clean up this mess. It's too bloody!"

"Uh…"

Bullseye looked helpless. Boss, is it really too bloody?

Wasn't it you who did this?

These bosses—all the same. Hypocritical, insincere, never straightforward.

So he nodded and bowed, saying respectfully,

"My fault. I'll send someone to clean it up right away!"

"Good!"

Heisenberg was satisfied. Bullseye quickly left the meeting room and called his former subordinates.

Heisenberg didn't bother listening to Bullseye's call or worry about whether he'd betray him.

If Bullseye really tried to team up against him, it'd just be a chance to clean house.

After Bullseye left, Heisenberg approached Barbara.

Her expression was still wary. Seeing Heisenberg approach, she instinctively took a half-step back.

But she quickly regained her composure. Her job wasn't to alienate Heisenberg with disgust or fear.

So after a moment's hesitation, she shivered slightly and said plaintively,

"What you did… was disgusting. Couldn't you have avoided making such a mess?"

"Haha, it was my first time. I lacked experience. I'll be gentler next time!"

Heisenberg laughed, exchanging pleasantries with Barbara, while secretly smirking like a weasel in his mind.

As he smirked, he thought:

All… monsters… *Strange Tales*…

Heh heh…

Adults understand what's going on, but it's best to pretend ignorance.

Heisenberg feigned ignorance of Barbara's and SHIELD's wariness, asking softly,

"Now that everything's settled, why not come to my nightclub?

I'm clueless about managing it, so I'll need your help."

"Of course!"

Barbara agreed readily, then added seemingly helplessly,

"After all, you're my most important target. Even if you treat me like a nanny, I won't complain, right?"

"Hmm, is your car downstairs, or should I fly you back?"

"Fly?!"

Barbara was genuinely stunned. She grabbed Heisenberg's hand.

Her expression was eager, with a hint of hesitation and anxiety.

"Can… can I fly too?" she asked, unable to hide her excitement.

"As long as you let me hold you."

"Ha, of course! Wrap your arms around my waist, not too tight. Let's fly!"

"Hmm…?"

Heisenberg looked helplessly at the woman in his arms. Barbara was way too forward.

But he knew this might not all be an act.

As an elite agent—and future superhero Mockingbird—Barbara had at least a hundred ways to reach the sky.

But none of those methods included Heisenberg's approach!

Heisenberg shot into the sky, planning to fly straight into the cumulonimbus clouds, using the thick, moist fog to soak Barbara.

But in an instant, he stopped mid-air, stunned.

Barbara was in terrible shape—her eyes bloodshot, nose bleeding, clearly nauseous.

"What the hell? Flying too fast shouldn't cause this. Superman can carry people while flying!"

Seeing Barbara's instant weakness, Heisenberg racked his brain, finally recalling something crucial.

"I… forgot about the biological stance!"

People often see Superman lift massive objects—planes, skyscrapers, entire mountains—with his narrow hands.

But scientifically, it's absurd.

Superman could lift a mountain, but the pressure would cause the mountain to crumble, and he'd pass through it, leaving it to fall.

So how does Superman lift heavy objects?

Through his **biological stance**!

When Kryptonians arrive on Earth, they're affected by the yellow sun's radiation, developing a second circulatory system distinct from their digestive system, specialized for storing and using energy.

After absorbing enough solar radiation, Kryptonians gain abilities like frost breath and heat vision.

The **biological stance** is a field Kryptonians create by manipulating solar energy, causing relative spatial displacement around them.

To help Barbara recover, Heisenberg frantically recalled everything about the biological stance.

Fortunately, his Kryptonian brain was exceptional, and he quickly understood.

What is "spatial relative displacement"?

Every space on Earth is governed by the four fundamental forces: strong nuclear, weak nuclear, electromagnetic, and gravitational.

Heisenberg began with the most obvious—gravity—to grasp the biological stance.

If gravity vanished in a space, repulsive forces would become infinite, reducing all matter to dust or nothingness.

If repulsive forces vanished, gravity would become infinite, collapsing the space into a black hole.

A Kryptonian's biological stance creates a balanced field around them, harmonizing gravity and repulsion—and all four fundamental forces.

In essence, the biological stance is a Kryptonian's absolute domain, a unique relative spatial displacement.

When Superman activates his stance, he and everything within it move in perfect unison.

So when he lifts a plane, the object's structure remains intact, accelerating or stopping with him.

That's why Lois Lane, in Superman's arms, remains unharmed even when flown into the sun.

Heisenberg knew his successor had set a great example.

After prolonged sun exposure, Superman's stance becomes visible.

His indestructible clothes? Protected by his biological stance.

In *All-Star Superman*, after absorbing excessive solar radiation, Superman's stance becomes so powerful he rescues a spaceship from the sun, leaving it and its crew unharmed.

Even his girlfriend, flying with him at 70 times the speed of sound, once remarked, "It's so warm!"—a testament to the stance's effect.

Now, after Barbara's bloody lesson, Heisenberg finally remembered a Kryptonian's most vital ability!

Without the biological stance, he'd be no different from a mini Hulk—just with a few extra elemental attacks.

Realizing its importance, Heisenberg landed instantly, returning to Fisk's meeting room and tossing Barbara onto the sofa.

She groaned, then sat up unsteadily, her hands groping the air, clearly disoriented.

After searching in vain for support, she scanned the room.

Moments later, she saw Heisenberg sitting like a statue on Fisk's sofa, eyes closed in meditation.

The sight made her cough repeatedly, blood from her nose staining her clothes—a pitiful, miserable scene.

But Barbara didn't blame Heisenberg's coldness.

Instead, she reflected on her mission.

His superficial charm and flirtation couldn't penetrate his true nature.

Perhaps his heart was unyielding, or perhaps he was just inexperienced.

Either way, Barbara knew her task was daunting.

Meanwhile, Heisenberg practiced controlling his stance.

He focused on his internal energy, trying to release it through his skin.

Energy from the eyes? Heat vision.

From the lungs and mouth? Frost breath.

So the biological stance is released through the skin? Or pores?

Not the fat layer, surely…

Heisenberg tried seriously for over two minutes.

In that time, his powerful brain generated over 3,000 energy release patterns per second.

Finally, he seemed to grasp it!

But he needed confirmation, so he called Barbara.

"Sorry for the scare. Feeling better?"

"Emmm…"

Barbara saw through Heisenberg's cunning smile and hesitated to answer.

But she nodded.

"I was just unaccustomed. I never got full marks in flight training, and my body can't handle even 6Gs. Sorry for the trouble!"

"No trouble. I was reckless. Let's fly again—I've adjusted my stance!"

"No, no, no, I'm still dizzy… Ahhhhhh!!!"

Before Barbara could finish refusing, Heisenberg was already soaring into the sky with her.

This time, he flew at 50 times the speed of sound. Even if she could handle 60Gs, this speed would be unbearable.

But her screams were loud and clear!

When Heisenberg finally stopped at 20,000 meters, holding only Barbara's hand as she floated weightlessly beside him,

he could declare success.

He had mastered his biological stance.

He'd done it!
