Chapter 40 - Chapter 40

Aurelia

I was at Tarek's mansion, and there was no sign of him or his pack. "Damn it!" I cursed under my breath. I wanted him to pay for daring to touch Elian. "Aurelia, calm down" my sister Elena said. I turned to her and growled. "He's going to pay Elena! He kidnapped Elian, he touched my omega! I'll find him and I'll rip his head off!" "Aurelia, we'll deal with Tarek, and you stay by Elian's side and plan your wedding."

I stared daggers at Elena, my claws extending from my fingertips as my wolf threatened to tip forward and take over. "Stay out of it!" I snapped, as I balled my hands into fists to push her back. "He was afraid! He didn't want to tell me! I should have been there, I wasn't and my omega suffered, because of me." "Aurelia" Elena reached for me.

"Aurelia leave it to me this time! You stay by Elian's side." I closed my eyes for a moment to calm down, but it's hard for me just to think that he touched him. I opened my eyes and stared at my sister. "So be it! But if you find him, bring him to me alive!" Elena nods, patting me on the shoulder.

I stepped out of the mansion, leaving Elena in charge. As I walked briskly towards my car, my, heels clicking on the gravel, a loud, menacing growl echoed through the air. I whirled around, my senses on high alert. A dark figure emerged from the shadows, the sight of him sending a jolt of hatred coursing through my veins. "Tarek." I snarled, my claws extending, ready to shift and defend myself.

My growl was met with one of his own, and I saw his teeth elongate and stretch into a threatening snarl, his grip tightened on the pistol he carried. "Where is he?" Tarek spat, as he approached me aggressively. I snarled more fiercely and turned to face him, ready to defend my omega. I saw Tarek turn his gun towards me, his finger tensing on the trigger and I knew he was going to shoot.

Suddenly there was a growl and then a large black wolf with blue eyes jumped out. I recognized that wolf immediately, and that smell. Elian had transformed into Kael. Tarek's eyes widened in shock and I took advantage of his distraction. I grabbed the gun from his hand and threw it aside. Before he could react I hit him in the stomach and he fell to the ground.

Kael lunged at Tarek, but I stepped between them, and he stopped, growling. I know he's angry and wants to tear Tarek apart, but I'm not going to let him do something he'll regret later. I stepped closer and touched his muzzle. For a moment he stopped growling and looked at me. "Elian, if you can hear me, take back control."

Kael backed up, watching as Elian regained control of Kael's body and shifted back to his slender frame. Elian was glaring daggers at Tarek, and my omega's limbs had tensed as if ready to fight. I grabbed his shoulder to stop him. "Stay back, Elian. You don't want to get more involved in this" I ordered. Though careful, he fought to break my hold on him. Tarek was struggling to stand whilst I kept one tight grip on Elian.

Elian's nostrils flared as he fought against my grip on his shoulder. "But Aurelia, he..." he protested. "He touched me! He's why I'm in such a state now! I want him to suffer!" His mixture of fear and anger was rolling off him in waves. I placed my hand on his cheek, forcing him to look at me and meet my gaze. "We have our own future to think about, and this jumble of feelings isn't going to help you, Elian."

Elian hesitated for a moment and looked at Tarek who was still writhing in pain on the ground. "So be it!" Elian agreed and his body relaxed slightly from the tension. "What, the little omega doesn't have the strength to fight an Alpha?" Tarek laughed, standing up. "It's a pity I couldn't finish you off, omega, but what can I do when you're the last omega in the whole world and every Alpha would dream of trying an omega again!" Tarek spat.

I clenched my jaw, feeling my control slipping away as my wolf growled furiously at Tarek's words. My vision blurred at the edges and the arousal continued to pound me as Elian stood there, defenseless, as I let the anger strike me. Bone crunched beneath my skin as it tore at my shirt. My teeth and claws stretched as my spine cracked and reshaped.

My shift was completed in a second as rage poured through my body. White fur sprouted from my skin as my body grew. My face elongated to accommodate my deadly teeth. My ears migrated to the crown of my head, spreading out to hear in all directions. Within seconds, I stood on all fours, my tail swishing with my fury. My eyes burned, blazing, reflecting the will to rip Tarek to shreds. I took a step forward.

Tarek transformed too. His fur grew, his eyes turned red, and his teeth grew longer. But I was bigger than him, stronger, and I had a chance. I looked at Elian, who was watching me with a mixture of fear and admiration. I would do anything to protect him, even if it meant sacrificing myself. "Aurelia, don't fight him" he pleaded. My sister Elena appeared and grabbed Elian, who tried to get close to me to stop me, but I silently ordered my sister to take him away.

I lunged at Tarek, claws outstretched and teeth bared in a deadly snarl. He tried to pull away, but I was faster. My claws dug into his muzzle, drawing blood and eliciting a cry of pain. Enraged, he lunged at me. His teeth sank into my front leg as I snapped at his hind leg. We circled each other, snarling and snapping. Then Tarek changed tactics.

My injured leg slowed me down, and I couldn't dodge his next attack. He leapt on me, and I felt his teeth clamp down on my throat. As I released my guttural wuffs of pain, he exerted maximum pressure, clamping down hard enough to break flesh, and then holding on, slowly throttling my life away. His red-gold eyes gleamed in cold satisfaction as mine began to roll into my head.

Tarek tightened his grip around my throat, but just when I thought it was all over, Raina, Elara, and the rest of my pack appeared in their wolf forms and pounced on Tarek, tearing him to pieces. I stood up and pounced too. No one touches what is mine.

I sank my teeth into his neck and Tarek cried out in pain. The other wolves backed away so I could finish Tarek off once and for all. With one last swing, I heard his neck snap and I knew it was the end. He fell to the ground, lifeless. I growled loudly, and my pack howled with me. I had savored my victory, and now no one would separate me from my Elian.
