"Fuck! The Ursaring got back up again!"
"Is its eyes turning red? Did it enter berserk mode?"
"Can our lord still defeat it now?"
Seeing Ursaring stand up again with even more intimidating aura than before, the players couldn't help but worry for Leon.
Leon himself was staring grimly at Ursaring, filled with confusion.
He had clearly knocked it down, so why could it stand up again, and why did its condition seem better than before?
Could it be its Ability?
But Ursaring's two Abilities only activate when it's under abnormal status, merely boosting Attack and Speed. They shouldn't trigger a berserk state.
Before Leon could finish thinking, Ursaring had already broken free from the Sticky Glob's restraint and lunged violently at Scyther.
"Dodge now!"
Leon immediately commanded.
Scyther swiftly dodged the attack. Ursaring's sharp claws landed on the tree behind it, cleanly splitting the trunk in half.
"Its Attack power has increased so much!"
With this level of force, Scyther could only withstand two hits at most. A third would likely knock it out completely.
"No, we can't let it land hits. Use Double Team!"
Scyther swiftly created multiple afterimages through rapid movement, making it impossible for Ursaring to identify the real one.
"Roar!"
Ursaring indeed couldn't decide which image to attack, so it switched targets and swung its claws at Aron.
Aron lacked Scyther's quick reflexes and took the hit head-on, its small body sent flying from the impact.
"Aron, are you okay?" Leon asked urgently.
"Kokko!"
Aron climbed back up from the ground and nodded at Leon, signaling it could still fight.
Earlier, it had used Harden to boost its Defense, and since Slash was a Normal-type move, the damage wasn't too severe.
Relieved that Aron was unharmed, Leon sighed, only to see Ursaring charging straight at him.
He quickly threw another Sticky Glob at Ursaring, hitting it squarely again.
This time, however, the Sticky Glob's effect was weaker, only briefly hindering Ursaring. Its massive claws still came slashing down toward Leon.
"Scy!"
In that critical moment, Scyther shielded Leon, taking the blow for him.
"Scyther!"
The sheer force of the attack forced Scyther to one knee. As it tried to turn and counter, Ursaring's next strike was already incoming.
Just as Scyther braced for another hit, a Poké Ball smacked into Ursaring, sucking it inside.
"Run, the Poké Ball won't hold it for long."
Leon pulled Scyther aside to dodge.
True enough, the Poké Ball couldn't contain Ursaring. After barely a second, it burst free with a furious roar.
"Roar roar!"
Ursaring was now consumed by rage. Initially, it hadn't taken this weak human seriously.
But this human kept throwing strange objects that restricted its movements.
So it decided to tear him apart first before dealing with the other Pokémon.
Leon saw the malice in Ursaring's eyes and knew he had become its primary target.
He instructed Scyther:
"Don't protect me this time. I have my own way to dodge. You focus on gathering power with Focus Energy and wait for my command."
"Scy!"
Scyther wanted to refuse—it didn't want Leon to take such a risk—but seeing the determination in his eyes, it reluctantly agreed.
Once Scyther began charging Focus Energy, Leon pulled out another Poké Ball and taunted Ursaring:
"Hey there, little bear. Want another one?"
Already enraged, Ursaring couldn't tolerate such provocation. It swung its claws down at Leon.
Aron rushed over to block the attack, but Leon stopped it.
"You can't take much damage right now. Use Harden to boost your Defense first."
After saying this, Leon hurled the Poké Ball at Ursaring, trapping it briefly and buying himself a few seconds to retreat.
When Ursaring broke free again, Leon threw another Sticky Glob.
Though the effect was even weaker this time, barely slowing Ursaring for a moment, it was just enough for Leon to narrowly evade the attack.
"Roar roar!!"
Being trapped twice more pushed Ursaring into a blind fury. It no longer cared about anything else—it just wanted to crush this human into paste!
Even when Scyther finished Focus Energy and began attacking, Ursaring ignored it entirely, single-mindedly chasing Leon.
As the distance between them closed, Leon tossed another Poké Ball behind him. But this time, Ursaring had learned.
It snatched the Poké Ball midair before it could open, then crushed it in its grip.
"Damn, that works too?"
Leon had no choice but to run toward Aron.
"Aron, Rock Tomb!"
Aron hurled several rocks, slightly delaying Ursaring's advance.
By the time Ursaring shook off the rocks, Aron had already positioned itself in front of Leon, blocking another attack.
"Don't just stand there taking hits. Use Headbutt and ram it!"
"Kokko!"
Aron charged forward with all its might, leaping up and slamming into Ursaring's stomach.
Ursaring staggered back a few steps before steadying itself and raising its claws for another strike.
"Bam!"
The overwhelming force smashed Aron into the ground, even cracking the earth beneath it.
Aron struggled to get up, but its injuries were too severe. After multiple failed attempts, it finally collapsed, knocked out.
"That move wasn't Slash—it was Brick Break, a Fighting-type move!"
Seeing how Ursaring's single strike took down Aron despite its boosted Defense, Leon finally realized Ursaring had used Brick Break, dealing quadruple damage to Aron.
"How the hell did it learn Brick Break?"
Before he could ponder further, Ursaring's claws came swinging again.
This time, Leon had no means left to evade. Thankfully, Scyther reacted fast enough to block the attack once more.
But Scyther was an offensive Pokémon with poor defenses. These two heavy blows had taken a massive toll—it could barely stand now.
"Scyther, can you hold on? If not, we should retreat."
Leon had prepared multiple escape plans. If Scyther fainted, he was confident they could still get away.
"Scy!!"
Scyther nodded firmly. As long as it had even a sliver of stamina left, retreat wasn't an option.
Knowing Scyther's stubborn refusal to back down, Leon said:
"Fine! Then we fight to the end! It's taken plenty of damage too—it won't last much longer."
Looking at Ursaring—panting heavily, its body covered in wounds—Leon believed they still had a chance.
Scyther had already used Fury Cutter twice in a row. If this third one landed, the accumulated power would be enough to finish Ursaring off!
"Let's bet everything on this final strike! Go, Scyther! End this with Fury Cutter!"
Scyther dashed forward at high speed, its scythes gleaming with a cold edge.
Ursaring swung its claws down with brutal force.
To ensure the move hit, Scyther didn't dodge. It took the blow head-on while slashing its blades downward with all its might.
"Roar!"
"Scy!"
The clash sent Scyther flying backward, crashing into a tree and falling unconscious.
Ursaring also collapsed, motionless once more.
"This time... it should stay down, right?"
Leon kept his eyes locked on the fallen Ursaring. He had used every trick he had. If this still didn't work, he'd have no choice but to flee with his Pokémon.
"Roar!"
But the worst-case scenario unfolded, Ursaring rose yet again, staggering toward Leon.
"What the hell is your problem? You're barely standing and still coming for me? Guess we're running."
Just as Leon was about to recall his Pokémon and escape, a purple figure spun through the air and slammed into Ursaring's head.
The impact sent the already weakened Ursaring crashing down again, kicking up a cloud of dust.
When the dust settled, Ursaring lay completely still, while the purple figure happily bounced on its belly.
"Bounswee!"
"That's... a Bounsweet?!"
