Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Kidnapped.

The morning air embraced Ava with its crisp freshness, painting the trees in vibrant shades of green as they stirred awake. Nestled beside George's warm fur, she pondered the day ahead. George had mentioned her meeting with the tribe chief, sparking a whirlwind of thoughts about her acceptance among the tribe, she wondered if she would be treated as an outcast. Yet, beneath her apprehension, Ava was quite confident that as a valued female, she would certainly not be cast out.

As George shifted into his human form, he gently carried Ava from the tree house, their journey leading them to the river's edge.

"Take your bath, I will stand guard for you" George told Ava with a soft assurance, he bid her to bathe while he stood watch, concealing himself behind a tree to afford her some privacy.

Despite her gratitude, Ava couldn't shake a twinge of guilt for relying so heavily on George's kindness. Yet, in this unfamiliar world, she knew she needed his guidance until she found her footing. Shedding her hide clothes, she immersed herself in the cool waters, finding solace in their embrace.

Emerging from the river, Ava called out for George, but received no response. Panic crept into her heart as she searched for him, She walked towards the tree where he had seen George sit, but there was no one there,

"George!!" She called out again, this time more loudly than before, fearing abandonment.

Her cries echoed through the forest, but was met only by a rustle from above. Looking up, her jaws dropped as she froze in terror as her gaze met the piercing stare of a colossal blue snake, its golden eyes locked onto her with an unsettling intensity.

its head slowly descended towards her.

Ava was so scared, she slowly backed away from the giant snake, all the while the snake never took it's eyes off her, backed into a corner by fear, Ava attempted to flee, only to find herself ensnared by the Snake's powerful coils. With each struggle, the Snake's grip tightened, threatening to crush the life from her. Overwhelmed by fear and the pressure constricting her chest, Ava succumbed to unconsciousness, her body limp within the snake's grasp.

Sensing her distress, the snake loosened its hold, allowing Ava's limp body to slump against the forest floor. As darkness enveloped her, the snake loomed overhead, its intentions shrouded in mystery.

The snake hovered over the weakened form of the female, its forked tongue flicking out to test the air around her. Despite her feeble breaths, she clung stubbornly to life, a fact that pleased the serpent immensely.

With a graceful undulation of its serpentine body, the snake gently lifted Ava from the ground, cradling her within its coils as it made its way to its nest. The creature was in a good mood, a sense of satisfaction coursing through its being.

Snake beastmen are solitary creatures by nature, they roam the beastman continent with little regard for companionship. Driven solely by instinct, they sought only their lifelong mate, only having affection for their mates and showing little to no affection even for their closest kin. Until they found their mate, they remained solitary beings, relying on their strength to seize or steal females in the wilds.

Moreover, they had an inherited memory passed down throughout generations that allowed them to thrive in the harsh environment, since they have to fend for themselves out in the wild after one month of being born, such is common practice for snake beastmen in this beast continent.

Judging from the clear skin and lack of injury on the female, he judged that she had used his energy crystal ball. The blue coloured snake was a young Snake beast. He had grown to adulthood not long ago and still hadn't managed to snatch a female Yet, when fate finally bestowed upon him a beautiful female, she unwittingly bound herself to him by using his energy crystal ball. After all, the energy crystal was one of the gifts he had prepared to give his future mate after he successfully snatched one. In the eyes of the snake beastman, this act cemented Ava's fate as his mate, destined to be his companion for life, thus repaying her debt by becoming his mate.

Bringing Ava to his hidden cave nestled deep within the labyrinth-like rock hard tunnels, the snake beastman carefully laid her within his nest, studying her with a mixture of curiosity and fascination. Her features were unlike any he had encountered – long, black waves cascading over fair, delicate skin, and lips plump and scarlet, even in her unconscious state, set her apart from any females.

Intrigued by her allure, the snake beastman's gaze fixated on Ava's lips, its forked tongue delicately tracing their contours. As it brushed against her lips, a sense of warmth and softness enveloped the serpent, igniting a newfound curiosity within its cold-blooded heart.

"Soft and warm," the snake beastman murmured to itself, its eyes gleaming with newfound interest. With a deliberate motion, its massive head leaned forward, its forked tongue reaching out to taste the woman who lay cradled within its coils.

For Ava, consciousness slowly began to return, her mind reeling from the memory of her encounter with the colossal serpent by the river. As her eyelids fluttered open, she found herself enveloped by darkness, her senses overwhelmed by the sensation of being tightly ensnared within the snake's grasp.

Ava's brain began to work cautiously and conscientiously. She recalled that she had encountered an enormous snake by the river side and the last thing she saw was her life being squeezed out of her by a huge blue snake.

Little did she anticipate that upon regaining consciousness, she would have preferred being squeezed to death. What in the world was happening with this python coiling around her entire body? All she wished for now was to black out again, but her body refused to comply with even this modest request. Ava let out a loud cry of terror, quickly silencing herself in a rational manner. She obediently ceased her struggles and tensed her body. Outwardly appearing calm, her heart raced so intensely it felt ready to burst from her chest.

But too late, she found herself facing the piercing gaze of the awakened python. The creature, initially slumbering peacefully, had woken from its sleep. Its massive head lifted with a slow, deliberate motion, and the somewhat hazy pupils that had clouded its eyes cleared up from its dreaming state. Slightly raising its body, the python lifted its head and fixed its gaze firmly on Ava.

Trapped in a dire situation and naturally fearful of reptiles, Ava couldn't deny the sense of awe that washed over her in that moment. Despite the danger and her instinctual fear, she couldn't help but find the python's presence strangely captivating. Its sleek, powerful form coiled around her, holding her in its grasp, yet there was a certain grace and majesty in its movements.

The snake's blue scales shimmered in the dim light of the cavern, each scale glistening with a subtle iridescence. Its muscular body rippled with strength as it shifted its weight, its movements fluid and controlled. Despite her predicament, Ava couldn't help but admire the beauty of the creature before her.

Intermittently, the snake would unfurl its forked tongue, revealing a pair of menacingly white fangs. Its eyes, wide and circular, shimmered with an otherworldly intensity, their irises adorned with a radiant golden hue.

Its eyes were so luminous that they mirrored his present state of terror. Internally, Ava cursed, realizing the dire predicament she was in. Snakes typically consumed their victims whole, allowing them to be slowly digested in their stomachs. The mere thought of meeting such a fate sent shivers of dread down her spine.

Observing that the female had regained consciousness, the Snake relaxed its hold, allowing Ava to rest on the grassy nest. With a swift movement, the Snake fetched the prey it had hunted and killed, then tossed it in front of Ava.

As Ava grappled with confusion over the snake beastman's motives, a disturbing realization struck her: could this creature be the rightful owner of the energy crystal orb she had taken? Had it tracked her down seeking vengeance? "Trouble always finds me," she lamented internally.

Before she could formulate a plan to negotiate with the beastman, it tossed a mangled beast corpse before her, filling the air with a sharp, metallic scent that made Ava recoil. She eyed the snake warily as it returned to its spot, trying to decipher its intentions.

Was it simply storing its prey nearby for later consumption, or did it intend for Ava to eat it? Despite her fear, Ava couldn't shake the sense that the snake harbored no ill will toward her. Perhaps, against all odds, it was offering her food.

Ava cleared her throat, mustering the courage to address the snake. "Um, excuse me, Mr. Snake," she began tentatively, her voice trembling slightly. "Is this... for me?"

The snake inched closer to Ava, its golden irises scanning her figure from head to toe. Despite her well-proportioned muscles and healthy appearance, she seemed delicate and petite compared to the other females he had encountered, contemplating whether her small frame could withstand its own considerable size and strength. "Would feeding her more food contribute to her growth?" It thought inwardly.

As the snake scrutinized her, Ava couldn't shake off the unsettling feeling creeping up her spine, the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end as she felt the weight of the snake's gaze upon her. It was as if she were a piece of meat on a butcher's table, waiting to be dissected. "Oh no, maybe I shouldn't have said anything," she muttered under her breath, her heart racing with apprehension.

With a sense of vigilance, Ava kept her eyes fixed on the snake. Her hands were free, and she had no intention of simply waiting for her fate to unfold. she would fight for her survival with every ounce of strength she possessed, however little it may be.
