In an unknown place a shadowy figure was dashing in the road running at unimaginable speeds heading towards a mansion. If you look closely you would notice that this place was Freya's place the one Ryan had come to when he was going to meet her. Marcus was the name of the guard Freya had sent standing a 5.7ft tall he had dark brown hair and brown eyes he had a lean build and he was heading to Freya's house to report.
As he got to the house none of the other vampire guards paid him any attention though they were "guards" they were nothing more than vampires under Freya's control she was too strong for them to be guarding her. As he arrived at the makeshift office that is a study that Freya used he knocked slightly and soon an enchanting voice answered "come in". Marcus opened the door and got in and he bowed his head "Lady Freya I have news regarding the situation of Ryan" Freya looked at Marcus he was one of her most trustworthy subordinates which is why she had sent him.
"And what news would that be?" asked Freya "after you sent me to monitor ....." he started to tell Freya about everything that happened starting from Ryan and Frank's schemes and their creation of 2 new vampires and all the way to them using the vampires to fight an unknown creature that is able to use fire. By the time Marcus finished explaining Freya was already very shocked if she did no trust Marcus she would have thought it was all just fake news.
"So you're telling me there is an unknown creature that could control fire and is able to burn vampires to ash?" asked Freya her voice a bit uncertain. "Yes Lady Freya that is what happened though the creature is still weak right now maybe you could beat it" replied Marcus. "Do you know anything about the creature's origin?" asked Freya while in deep thought. "Currently I have no clue and I am not sure if Ryan and Frank knew because I couldn't get too close to listen to their conversations to avoid detection" replied Marcus honestly.
"I see" replied Freya still thinking 'could it be some kind of werewolf product are they trying to make a new supernatural or something… but if that's the case why would he search for Ryan' Freya couldn't figure it our 'wait Marcus said Frank almost killed it but it awakened and was more powerful does this mean it was training or something else haaa not having the full story is putting me on a disadvantage'
"Okay Marcus if you are done reporting you can leave" said Freya and watched as he left before thinking again 'if it's a werewolf product capturing it would make my life easier, if I can present it to a powerful sentinel or even that elder the mad doctor I am sure I would rise quickly, but I need to play it safe get someone to monitor this creature and take it from there'
Freya stood up from her chair and walked outside and saw Marcus, she went towards him "Get someone who will be able to monitor the creature make sure they are not discovered I need to know his plans where he stays and everything there is to know about it"
"I will get that done quickly Lady Freya" Marcus replied swiftly and he left to carry out that task sleep and rest was not important to a vampire as much as it is to a human with blood they could keep on functioning perfectly.
Ethan woke up in the morning he had barely slept as he was haunted by yesterday's events. They were still fresh on his mind yet still couldn't feel the guilt. He got off bed and started to prepare for school though he did not want to go. He went to the bathroom and took a quick shower coming back he wore blue jeans, a black T-shirt and a black Jacket. He went to the kitchen and fixed himself a bowl of cereal and after finishing it took his bike keys and headed to school.
When he got to school he met up with Jamie "hey dude so you gonna tell me what happened yesterday?" Jamie said with his signature grin all his worries had melted when he saw his friend was okay. "How about we talk later today at my house" suggested Ethan who looked a bit uncomfortable but tried to mask it. "Okay no problem" replied Jamie he did not try to push him as he had seen that uncomfortable look on Ethan's face and it worried him a bit 'why would Ethan be uncomfortable did something happen yesterday ' Jamie glanced at Ethan who was still forcing a small smile.
He knew Ethan from a young age so it was easy to see through him when he was acting and not himself "Ethan are you okay?" he asked worriedly "yea I am fine why are you asking?" Ethan said as calmly as possible to try and be normal. "Nothing just asking" Jamie decided he would find out the truth later today. They both headed to class.
The lessons passed quickly and it was now lunch time and Ethan and Jamie were sitting in the cafeteria eating their lunch. "Weird I wonder where Ryan and frank are today I haven't seen them the whole day" said Jamie. Ethan's stomach tightened and churned even the food e was eating no longer looked appetizing the scenes coming back in his mind "maybe they are doing other thing" Ethan replied his voice flat hiding his inner turmoil.
"Well them not being here is a bonus for us so that's good" replied Jamie as he was eating happily. Mia approached them "hi guys how are you?" she asked them. "We are fine and how are you" Both of them answered her. "I am good" she said and looked at Ethan a bit and didn't say anything. "Well I will see you later" she said that and left.
After sometime the bell rang and the lessons resumed. Ethan's mind was not on lessons he just wanted the day to end quickly and he could go home and soon his prayers were answered and it was time to go home. As they exited the class he looked at Jamie "I will see you when you get at my place".
"Okay buddy I just need to pass by home and do a quick errand for mom then I will come to you" relied Jamie. "Okay I will see you later bye" said Ethan walking towards his bike and got on it and went home. When he got home he fixed got some chips and scrolled through social media to keep himself distracted while he waited for Jamie.
