Chapter 87 - Chapter 087: What Are Celestial Dragons? Are They Delicious?

In the world of Naruto, the title of "Kage" was established by the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama. At the same time, Hashirama wanted his close friend (and later rival) Uchiha Madara to become a leader as well. Considering that the Uchiha clan was renowned for their fire-style techniques, the title "Hokage" (Fire Shadow) was chosen.

As for the name "Konohagakure" (Hidden Leaf Village), it was actually proposed by Uchiha Madara. The reason was that Hashirama frequently used wood-style techniques, and Madara happened to pick up a leaf at that moment—thus, the name was decided.

Later, when other great nations established their own hidden villages, they followed suit, adopting the "Kage" naming convention. Coincidentally, the five major villages corresponded to the five elemental chakra natures: wind, lightning, water, fire, and earth.

Thus, the current system of the Five Kage was born.

In a sense, the Five Kage symbolize the highest authority in the shinobi world and have always been revered.

Yet now, as the Five Kage, they felt as if they were being looked down upon—treated as mere punching bags.

When Uchiha Madara heard Tsunade's words, he smirked and said, "You're Hashirama's descendant, aren't you? Did that fool Hashirama never teach you to show proper respect when speaking to me?"

Hearing this, Tsunade grew even more furious.

What kind of nonsense is this?!

They were about to engage in battle, and now he was deliberately provoking her?

Logically speaking, Uchiha Madara was indeed her elder, so she couldn't outright curse him. She could only grit her teeth and say, "Enough talk! Didn't you challenge the Five Kage? Now that we're all here, let's begin!"

Watching from the sidelines, Lin Xuan couldn't help but chuckle at Tsunade's domineering attitude. He turned to Senju Hashirama and teased, "Hashirama, your granddaughter's temper isn't very good. How did you raise her?"

Hashirama scratched his head awkwardly and laughed. "Well… she was spoiled too much as a child and picked up some bad habits. Who knew she'd still be like this as an adult? Hahaha!"

By the end, he was just laughing to cover up his embarrassment.

Lin Xuan rolled his eyes but didn't press further. Meanwhile, the battle between Uchiha Madara and the Five Kage had already begun.

Originally, Naruto and the others wanted to stay and help, but the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade, refused outright. She ordered them to leave and instead deal with the White Zetsu clones and the resurrected shinobi—essentially, cleaning up the battlefield.

Unlike in the original timeline, this time, the Allied Shinobi Forces suffered almost no casualties after the battle began. Even though Madara was fighting dozens of elite shinobi at once, he didn't inflict any serious injuries.

However, Madara's expression was calm, as if he were merely toying with them.

Hmph. Senju Hashirama, the Sage of Six Paths…

You're all just a bunch of fools.

Why haven't you realized it yet?

Lin Xuan, on the other hand, was somewhat impatient. Although the "system" allowed him to observe the battle in real-time, it was still just a projection—he couldn't actually intervene.

In reality, there was another person present in the battlefield—Obito Uchiha.

But under the current circumstances, no one noticed him. His actions were as inconspicuous as a ghost's.

Eventually, Lin Xuan grew bored. Since there was nothing else to see, and he still had other matters to attend to, he simply left.

Meanwhile, the group that had been "teleported" by Lin Xuan had already arrived at sea.

However, they had encountered some troubles along the way, so their arrival wasn't exactly smooth. Their clothes were tattered, and they looked rather disheveled.

At that moment, they found themselves on a small island—one that happened to be under the jurisdiction of the Marines.

"Y-You're… Celestial Dragons?!"

Impossible!

The Marine lieutenant on the island was stunned when he saw them. But when he noticed the golden hoops in their ears—a symbol of the Celestial Dragons—he immediately became suspicious.

The group, however, had no patience for explanations. One of them coldly demanded, "Contact headquarters immediately. I have urgent matters to report!"

"Y-Yes, sir!"

The lieutenant quickly saluted and rushed off to make the call.

Once he was gone, one of the group members turned to a nearby Marine ensign and asked, "Where is this place?"

When they had left Skypiea, they hadn't taken the same route as Lin Xuan's group. Instead, they had gotten lost along the way, leaving them completely disoriented.

"Sir, this is Syrup Village!" the ensign answered nervously.

"Syrup Village?" The man frowned but didn't press further. Clearly, the name meant nothing to him.

What he didn't know was that this very village would later become the birthplace of the infamous Barto Club—one of the most troublesome pirate crews for the Marines.

At that very moment, the Straw Hat Pirates were also on the island. They had just defeated Captain Kuro and were waiting for their ship, the Going Merry, to be completed.

Inside a tavern, Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Usopp were busy stuffing their faces when they overheard some nearby chatter.

"Hey, did you hear? The rumors about that Celestial Dragon being kidnapped and turned into a slave were actually true! The Marines covered it up!"

"Yeah, I heard that too! Apparently, the Marines even sent forces to chase down the two criminals who did it, but they failed and got humiliated instead!"

"I wonder where those two—Uchiha Madara and that other guy—came from. How dare they do something so outrageous?"

Zoro and Nami grew tense upon hearing this.

Meanwhile, Luffy—who was eating like a starved man—suddenly raised his head and asked loudly,

"What are Celestial Dragons? Are they delicious?"
