Orion burst into the study, his face contorted with rage as he slammed the door behind him. He found Ronan lounging casually in an armchair, flipping through a cookbook.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Orion demanded, his voice tight with anger.
Ronan looked up, a hint of a smile playing at his lips. "Looking up cookie recipes. Sera mentioned she likes chocolate chip."
"Cut the crap," Orion snapped. "I'm talking about your little performance at breakfast. And the movie invitation. And now cookies? Since when do you bake?"
"Since I decided to stop hiding how I feel," Ronan replied calmly, closing the book. "Is that why you're here? To interrogate me about my suddenly domestic skills?"
Kaelen entered the room, his face grave. "We need to talk, Ronan."
"So talk," Ronan said, setting the cookbook aside.
Kaelen crossed his arms over his chest. "What's your angle with Seraphina? What are you trying to accomplish?"
