With that, Sunny opened his eyes and was welcomed to a beautiful sight of Nephis sleeping on top of him. When she woke up, she just slightly moved and started to make small braids from his hair.
N: What are you so deeply thinking about, Sunny?
S: Do you want your mother to be alive again?
She stopped what she was doing and sight. After a short pause, she continued what she was doing and said.
N: Of course, although I barely knew her, I would still love to see her truly alive, but sadly, it's just impossible.
S: It's not impossible.
N: What do you mean?
S: In my first nightmare, I met a guy, and he told me he was cured of it, describing the whole process.
Nephis froze.
N: How do you do it? Do you need my help with anything? Just say it.
S: Your help is absolutely necessary. Without me and you, the process would be impossible.
N: How so?
S: Look at our runes.
As he said, it Runes of Sunny and Nephis appeared as one, showing it to both at once.

Sunny pointed from their class to their rank.
S: What rank is your mother?
N: master. Why?
S: Well, we need to become masters first if we want to have a chance of saving her.
Sunny then slowly explained to her why.
S: And lastly, once we become masters, we have to give her one of our soul cores. Since the soul core will be getting destroyed while leaving your body. That's why we need 2, so I will give her one half and you will give her the other half.
It will be painful. Like losing your life is painful. I don't know if you can heal soul damage.
N: No, I can't, only after I became Supreme could I, probably.
S: It is up to you if you want to and when you want to do it. I will leave the decision up to you.
Nephis breathed in and pulled Sunny into a grateful kiss.
S: I have a question for you.
N: Go on.
S: Do you want to join my Shadow clan, or do you want to revive your Immortal Flame clan?
N: both. After all, when we get married, we will be the same clan, right? But no. Only mark your subordinates.
S: Alright.
After a while, Sunny and Nephis walked out of their room and headed outside to meet with the others. The front part of the cathedral was like this. Once he was in the front, there were buildings mostly with broken roofs except for one on his left, which Kai, Cassia and Saishan were residing in. To his right same building didn't have a use for now. Other buildings that formed a large, almost full circle were also currently without care or use.
This is also where Sunny trained his Shadow dance. He didn't train specifically each step separately, but more of a combination of all he could do and as of right now, he was able to do step 4 passively note which was an excellent boom for him, and now he just can focus on step 5.
Or so he would if he followed regular rules. Since Thene taught him, he was unable to distinguish between steps as of right now because he was doing it as if it was his natural flow, and so he decided to go back to enhancing each step to its peak and even try to go beyond it. All of it was simply a theoretical idea, which he was trying to put into the battle art because that entire area was cleaned of debris that would get in the way of his training. When Sunny trained was also able to suppress his awakened boosts to appear like others, dormants. His shadows were either just on the sidelines, posted as scouts or fused with him.
After all, Thene taught him that even tho you seachurate your core, you should still try to suppress awakening it for as long as possible to consolidate your power before becoming a higher class. This, with the combination of world essence absorption and his shadow dance mastery, had a drastic effect on his shadow helpers. Unlike in the past, when they were just shadows. Now they are fully corporeal, and that is making Sunny significantly stronger. Not to mention that his shadows ...…
Nephis looked around and asked.
N: Is this where you train?
Sunny just smiled and nodded approvingly.
Seishan's POV
Seishan woke up first and stretched happily. As she moved her hand across the soft fabric of the bed, she just slept, and he smiled.
Sh: This is the bed for the princess of Song.
She narrowed her eyes with determination. She obviously wanted to escape this place, but till now her goal was almost non-existent.
But after Changing Star appeared here in the Bright Castle, she thought she would try to ally herself with her and escape. Still, there is also one variable. If she were to go with it. She might be in danger from the Song clan, but she didn't care.
Slowly, Kai, Effie and Seishan exited the building with smiles on their faces.
Sh: The best sleep I've had in ages.
E: for real.
Ca: Yes, I really liked it. Finally, a comfortable bed.
Kai just sat happily and looked ahead with the others. In the centre of the 'ring' stood Sunny, but what surprised not just him but also the other 2 ladies was that he wasn't wearing a shirt and, surprisingly, not even boots, only long black as if thathered pants that ended slightly above his ankles. A large black but also almost as if alive Serpent tattoo was coiled around his left arm, covering most of his back with its head somewhere on Sunny's right collarbone. He was standing straight ahead into the slowly rising sun. He wasn't very tall, but he was very slim, and his muscles were beautifully shaped across his body as if it were a sculpture of some deity. After a while, or maybe just a few seconds, he faced them with a pleasant smile on his face and dark onyx eyes as if pools of the abyss and asked them to get closer.
K: Sunny, Nephis. Good morning.
S: Morning to you, too, Kai, Effie, Seishan, Cassia.
As soon as they exchanged pleasantries, Effie asked.
E: Is this where you train? Also, is this your regular wear for training?
S: Yes… and yes again.
E: is it like a kink?
S: I don't know what kink is.
Effie didn't know what to say to that, and so she just remained silent.
Kai asked instead, dismissing the awkward atmosphere.
K: I feel like there is more. Is there?
S: I just wanted to asses your strenght and if you want, train you. There is obviously a condition to it, which will be told to you later.
Sheishan looked at him, still unsure about her intuition and said.
Sh: You? Train us? I am sorry, kid…
Sunny didn't let her finish and said calmly.
S: Sunny.
Seishan looked at him and sighed.
Sh: Sunny, why you, and not Changing Star?
S: Simple, really. I was training her, or more of sparring with her.
This revelation stunned the other 3, expecting the opposite.
Sh: Oh? And how did most of the matches end? Let me guess.
S: No. I won't let you guess.
N: mostly draw.
Said Nephis, stepping closer to Sunny. This shocked others even more well except for Cassia and slightly Effie…
Sh: Seriously?
N: Still, I have to admit that if he were taking every fight seriously, I don't think I would even be able to get a draw.
Sh: Changing Star is known as a master swordswoman, and her father was an incredibly powerful swordsman, yet she is saying that much?
Sh: So why is she the leader then?
S: I don't want to be this leader.
Sh: What, will you make your own little army?
S: At some point in time, I hope so.
Sh: Whatever you say. I am still not convinced about your strength, tho.
S: I'd be surprised if you were from just this conversation and so.
Sunny stepped away from them, creating distance and put his hands behind his back.
S: Come at me. All at once.
K: Even me?
S: Why, of course, Kai. Oh, and try your best to kill me. Don't worry about the wounds, I want you all to actually try killing me.
N: I will stay and watch from the sidelines for now if you don't mind.
S: Thank you.
Sh: 4 against 1? Not to mention, we are not weak, you know. Quite the opposite. Mostly best out of best.
S: I will be the judge of that.
Sieshan gritted her sharp teeth and stepped closer, summoning her sword. While staring Sunny down.
Sh: You are making a mistake.
E: Be careful, Sei, he is strong.
This was all she needed to hear from a veteran of a dark city to admit that someone is strong is different from outsiders.
Slowly, Sunny was surrounded by the other 3 from three other 3 sides.
Kai would mostly provide support from the rear, he just prepared his bow and arrows.
Sunny just smiled and pulled out a long black scarf from behind his back and tied it around his eyes.
Sh: Are you making fun of….
Suddenly, she felt he intuition scream at her as if something was terribly wrong. No, not wrong, she was in the wrong from the start. This was more of an opposite she felt as a pray standing against overwhelmingly powerful foe. She held her weapon tighter and got ready. Sunny summoned his sword and set it on his shoulder. His sword was still in the guard, but it didn't look like Sunny had plans of using his sharp blade any time soon, or at all. He just wore a casual smile on his face.
