Chapter 13 - Moments of happiness

After anay beat darshan,

The training ground was dead silent.

Darshan—one of the strongest in the class—lay on his back, gasping, disbelief written across his bruised face. His weapon had been knocked clean out of his hands. The force of Anay's final strike had left a long mark across the dirt.

"Did… Did he just defeat Darshan?"

"That can't be right. Darshan is ranked #4 in Wing A!"

The murmurs swirled like a storm around the crowd. Veer raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed.

Veer: "Heh… didn't think Darshan would lose like that."

Saki, meanwhile, was already walking toward Anay, her blue hair flowing like water in motion.

Saki (smiling): "Well, well. You made Darshan look like a beginner. That was kinda hot."

Anay blinked, flustered, but smiled politely.

Anay: "I just reacted… honestly didn't think he'd go all in right away."

Saki (teasing): "Guess now I have to spar with you."

From the side, Darshan slowly stood up, wiping dust from his uniform, his eyes burning with confusion and just a hint of resentment. But he didn't say a word. Instead, he turned and walked away.

Student 1 (whispers): "Is Darshan… embarrassed?"

Student 2: "He's never lost this badly before."

Student 3: "Anay… just became the guy to watch."

As the tension faded, some girls nearby giggled.

"He's kinda mysterious too, isn't he?"

"Quiet, strong, and cute… unfair."

Veer chuckled and clapped Anay on the back.

Then saki came and say that was super fast

Anay replied I just react to it

Saki say I would happy to see how would you react to me,

Veer: hey already flirting

Saki: maybe I admire strength

Veer: "Now you've pissed off half the class and impressed the other half."

Anay (grinning): "At least I didn't get kicked out."

They all laughed.

But in the distance, Darshan watched from a corner, eyes narrowed. His fists clenched, and for a moment, something dark shimmered faintly over his arm—then vanished.

Darshan (to himself): "Who... are you really, Anay?"

As the crowd buzzed with shock and admiration around the training ground, a figure leaned casually against the railing of the upper floor — arms crossed, eyes narrowed in curiosity.

Naman.

He had just arrived from Wing B's side after his own training session, only to see a large group gathering. And at the center of it...

Naman (grinning): "Of course it'd be you."

He watched as Anay shook hands with Veer and laughed off Saki's teasing. For a moment, Naman felt proud — his friend was really making waves. But there was something else... something that tugged at his instincts.

Darshan stood in the distance, his aura flickering — subtle, but unstable. A shade of resentment, maybe envy.

Naman (muttering): "Tch... that guy doesn't like losing."

He walked down to meet them. As Anay turned around, his eyes lit up.

Anay: "Naman! You saw that?"

Naman (playfully): "I felt it all the way from Wing B. You beat Darshan? What next, you taking down teachers too?"

Veer: "You know him?"

Anay: "Yup. One of the only familiar faces I've got here."

Saki smiled at Naman politely. He nodded back, but didn't miss the subtle glance she gave Anay — playful but curious.

Saki: "You've got some powerful friends, huh?"

Naman: "You haven't even seen the half of it."

They all laughed. But before the conversation could go further, Naman leaned in and whispered near Anay's ear:

Naman (quietly): "You went serious just now. Be careful. That guy Darshan… he won't forget this."

Anay nodded, his expression calm but thoughtful.

Anay: "I know. I didn't mean to embarrass him. It just… happened." I just got too excited

Naman: "That's what worries me. You make things look too easy."

Scene: That Evening — Dorm Rooftop

Later that night, after cleaning up and finishing dinner, Anay stood on the rooftop of his private dorm room, looking up at the vast star-filled sky. His dorm was like a 5-star suite, and the private training ground below shimmered under moonlight.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps. Naman appeared, holding two drinks.

Naman: "Figured you'd be up here."

He tossed one can toward Anay, who caught it with a grin.

Anay: "Can't sleep. Today was… a lot."

Naman (sitting beside him): "You're already turning heads. I made a few friends too — my class isn't too different. All S-ranks, but most are chill."

Anay: "Didn't think we'd be tossed into all this so fast."

Naman (laughing): "You literally tossed Darshan across the training ground. That helped."

They both laughed, quietly.
