Chapter 8 - Shattered Hopes

We were both breathless when Alek pulled away from me and gently lifted up my head to look at him.

He then asked, something wrong? The only thing wrong was the way I loved every moment of the kiss, I didn't want it to stop.

I finally felt alive, complete, I really wanted him to do it again. Finding my words, struggling and stumbling even stammering, all because of a kiss.

Um….nothing, I respond, he looks at me again and then asks. What is it angel? Give it to this man, he is so observant.

It's nothing Alek, I just want to say thank you for everything….before I could continue, he places his huge finger on my lips and believe me the only thing I could think about was the way it would feel in me.

My nasty thoughts are interrupted by his words. Now that is enough, there is no need to say thank you, l'm happy to be of service to you and I would do it over and over again in a heartbeat.

Be a good girl and go sit down and eat while I grab the napkins. Like the good girl I am, I get seated and beginning downing the heavenly meal.

Not too long, I hear. See you around princess, I'm lucky I don't choke on my meal, God help this poor girl so she doesn't die, I plead silently.

I just put on an unaffected face giving a small wave while I know I'm as melted as butter on the inside and damn my panties are soaked.

I watch monster trunks shapey bum ass he walks away, I just want to bite it, focus Emily.

Immediately I let out a gasp, omg, how could I forget, I was so caught up being a little slut that I forgot about my love, Sophie, ahhhhh she is going to kill me.

I ignore the shocked and worried look from Alex, and hastily get up almost falling face flat, but I couldn't care less, right now I had one goal and one goal alone.

As I take the second step about to race to the room I slept in to grab my phone apparently I forgot it in there.

How I was going to find the room I had to idea, as I am about to take the next step I am frozen in shock, I couldn't help but notice the woman who had just walked into the room.

Natalia was her name, I just figured, and my oh my she was a vision of perfection.

Her long, raven-black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, and her piercing eyes seemed to gleam with an inner light.

She was dressed in a stunning red dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, showcasing her impeccable figure.

Her heels clicked on the floor as she walked towards us, her confidence and poise radiating from every pore.

Alek's voice cut through my awe, his tone neutral as he asked Natalia what she was doing here. Natalia's response was immediate, her voice husky and confident. "I can come to my husband's house anytime I want to," she said, her eyes flashing with a hint of defiance. "

And I'm here to find out why you haven't reached back to me concerning the winter ball preparations. What's going on?"

I need more money for preparation, it seems the estimate I made was wrong, there is still a lot of things to do and I've run out of money.

I felt a wave of shock wash over me, what did she mean by husbands? Wait a damn minute, no this can't be real right, I soon realized the situation.

Aleksandr was married to Natalia,"Wait, if Alek is really married to Natalia, what's his game?" I thought to myself. "What does he want from me?

Does he see me as some kind of plaything or an easy target? Is this some kind of twisted power trip for him?" My mind was racing with questions, each one fueling my growing unease.

"Ugh, I'm such an idiot. Here I was, floating on cloud nine, thinking I'd finally found 'the one'.

I can't believe he was here just some minute again shoving his tongue down my throat, calling me my angel, being sweet, he fucking made me breakfast.

When really, I was just being a fool like always, getting ahead of myself, I am so dumb.

Natalia's eyes turned to me, and I felt a shiver run down my spine as she raked me over with a hostile gaze. "Who is this?" she asked Alek, her tone dripping with disdain. "Is this a new maid? I have said it before and I will say it one last time, every new hire must go through me.

I must vet them to ensure they know their job and their place. Why does this one look like she's been dragged through the streets.

Even if your hiring a new help, you can't just hire anyone, at least she must be presentable.

I felt a surge of embarrassment and humiliation as Natalia's words cut deep. I tried to speak, to explain, but my voice caught in my throat. Alek's expression didn't change, but I saw a flicker of something in his eyes that I couldn't quite read.

Ryurik, who had been watching the scene unfold, stepped forward, trying to intervene. "Natalia, perhaps we can discuss this in private," he suggested, his tone smooth and diplomatic.

However Natalia was having none of it. She turned to Ryurik, her eyes flashing with anger. "And why should I do that she spat.

The secretary, who had been standing in the background, stepped forward, apologizing furiously. "I'm so sorry, Boss. I didn't mean for her to intrude like this."

She refused to wait for me to inform you of her arrival. I'm sorry boss, he said again with his head hung low.

I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself. "I apologize," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to intrude. I'll just...I'll just leave."

I sprinted down the hallway, my feet pounding out a frantic rhythm on the floor. Tears streamed down my face, blurring everything around me.

I turned a corner, expecting to see the familiar door to my room, but instead found myself staring at a blank wall.

"Where am I?" I thought, a wave of panic washing over me. I collapsed onto the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. The sound of my own despair was deafening.

Just as I felt like I was drowning in my grief, strong arms wrapped around me, pulling me into a warm hug.

"Shh, it's okay," a soothing voice whispered in my ear. Ryurik's voice. His gentle tone was a balm to my frazzled nerves, and I felt some of the tension begin to seep out of me.
