Tyler didn't have to wait long before David returned from the bank.
"How did it go?" He asked out of courtesy.
"Fine. The account will be ready tomorrow or in two days time," David replied, as he took his seat.
"Thank you," Tyler said, and gave polite nod.
David was slightly taken aback by Tyler's action, but it brought a smile to his face. Still, he felt the need to remind Tyler of something important.
"You don't need to thank me. Just don't do anything that will bring the feds to my door," he said with a solemn voice.
"You don't need to worry about that. I will never do anything to inconvenience you," Tyler said, lying through his teeth with a straight face.
"Good," David nodded in satisfaction.
"Is this your laptop?" He asked, pointing to device on the table.
"Yes," Tyler nodded.
"Nice. You got yourself the latest stuff. Let's start creating the trading account then," he said, picking up the laptop from the table.
Tyler had already turned on the laptop, booted it up, and opened the browser, waiting for David to return.
David pressed the space key and the laptop's screen lit up, displaying the homepage of the trading platform they intends to use.
He nodded to himself, clicked on create account and choose the account type, before passing the laptop back to Tyler so that he can set the login credentials.
After Tyler was done with that, David entered his email address so that a verification link could be sent.
They received the email a couple seconds later and after the email was verified, David continued the account creation process.
He filled the application form, uploaded his identity document and did everything that needed to be done.
After he was done with that, he also funded the account with the $10,000 minimum deposit before passing the laptop back to Tyler.
"Done."
"Thank you," Tyler nodded as he collected the laptop from him.
"The account will be approved by tomorrow. And even if the bank account is ready, you can start trading," David said, relaxing back into the sofa.
"That's my intention," Tyler smiled.
"Thank you once again. Here's the refund," he said, handing the wads of cash to David.
David collected the money and from just a glance, he knew the exact amount—$10,300.
He placed the money on the table and looked at Tyler intently. He has no idea why but he felt that this was the right time to say something.
"Look, Tyler. I understand that things are rough for yourself and your family, and I understand that you want to change your family's situation through trading. And that's why I feel that I must tell these things," he said, and started walking about what he calls the golden rules of trading.
Even though Tyler already knew this, he listened patiently, not wanting to be seen as rude or arrogant.
After David was done, Tyler thanked him once again.
With how suspiciously polite Tyler was being, David could already guess that something was coming.
"David," Tyler sighed and called out.
"Yeah?" David responded, his feeling of unease growing.
"Creating the bank account and the trading account aren't the only things I need help with," Tyler continued quickly, wanting to get everything out before David could cut him off.
"I need your help with creating multiple trusts and LLCs. As many trusts as possible and a minimum of 1,000 LLCs."
"....."
A very loud silence filled the living area as David stared at Tyler, stupefied.
David blinked and stared at Tyler, trying to process what he'd just heard.
"Did you just say 1,000 LLCs?" he asked, wondering if he'd heard wrong.
"Yes," Tyler nodded, with a solemn look on his face.
David was silent for a few moments, as his brain worked overtime to process what everything.
"...Are you kidding me?! 1,000 LLCs! What do you plan to do with them?! No, let me rephrase, what the hell do you need so many LLCs for?!"
David was losing it at this point and Tyler could see it, but he can't back down. He must get David to help him no matter what.
"David, I know it sounds absurd, but I really need it. I don't know how else to explain this except to say that it's very important to me. If you do this for me, I promise I'll never ask for something like this again. Please," Tyler said, using the most polite and gentle voice he could muster, his expression solemn.
Tyler would be lying if he say that he was happy with his underage status. It limits him greatly, forcing him to ask for help with things that he could accomplish himself.
If he wasn't underaged, he could do it himself or employ someone else to open the trusts and LLCs for him. All he would just need to was to give them his information and they will do the work for him.
Tyler continued watching David and saw him staring intently, his expression showing he was still trying to wrap his head around everything.
After a few moments, David sighed and sat up straight.
"Tyler, is there something that you're not telling me?" He aked, with a very solemn voice.
"No. Do I look like I'm hiding something?" Tyler asked.
He felt that David might had sense his troubled emotions, and was now probing to know the reason behind it. But Tyler would let anything slip.
David saw the look on Tyler's face. Even though the kid was doing his best to hide it, he could still sense that something was wrong.
"Tyler, you know you can tell me the truth, right? Talk to me. What's the problem? The fact that you're serious about setting up multiple trusts and needing a minimum of 1,000 LLCs means something is definitely wrong," he said, pausing for a moment before continuing.
"Not only that, but I know that with how intelligent you are, you must have thought about how absurd this request of yours sounds—and yet you still decided to ask anyway. That says a lot."
Tyler was about to respond but David stopped him.
"It's fine. Don't force yourself if you don't want to. As for your request, give me some time to think about it. I'm not agreeing to it but I will think about it. But before I can even consider accepting your request, show be your hand with your trades. If you can make a profit of $100,000 in five month, then I will definitely consider it," David said.
"Thank you," Tyler said, with a polite nod.
To him, David even considering to help him out if he proves himself was the same as him accepting his request.
"I'll be taking my leave," he said, standing up from the sofa.
"Okay, I will contact you when I receive the confirmation that the trading account and the bank account have been created," David said, and Tyler nodded.
Tyler picked up his laptop and walked out.
As Tyler left the house, David fell into deep thought. He could sense Tyler had changed greatly and that something was definitely wrong.
"What could he possibly need 1,000 LLCs for? Why didn't he make a more subtle request?"
These questions and more occupied David's head.
....
Meanwhile, Tyler was on his way home, and thinking of when the trading account creation will be approved and he can start live trading.
