The quiet hum of Kaito's old laptop was now his favorite sound in the world.

It was past midnight, but sleep didn't even cross his mind. A steaming cup of instant coffee rested beside him, untouched and growing cold. His eyes were glued to the screen, fingers dancing over the keyboard with renewed purpose.

Luffy had Zoro.

Now it was time to introduce the next piece of the puzzle.

"Nami," Kaito whispered with a grin.

He took a deep breath and began typing.

The orange glow of the setting sun reflected on the surface of the sea as Luffy's tiny boat drifted toward a bustling town. Zoro stood at the bow, arms crossed, his swords resting at his waist. The two had just escaped Shells Town and were now in search of a navigator.

"We're gonna need someone who knows how to read charts," Luffy said, tapping his chin.

"You don't know how to sail?" Zoro asked flatly.

"Nope!"

Zoro sighed. "We're gonna die."

The town was lively—market stalls, crowded streets, and voices echoing in every direction. But amidst the noise and laughter, something stood out.

A flash of orange hair.

A girl, moving quickly between the crowd, her eyes scanning every stall, every person. She looked confident—too confident.

And then she made her move.

"Hey! My purse!"

A man yelled as the orange-haired girl darted away, bag in hand. Her steps were light, swift, practiced.

Zoro instinctively stepped back, letting her pass without even a glance.

"She's a thief," he muttered.

Luffy's eyes lit up with curiosity.

"She's fast!"

The girl ducked into an alley, flipping open the stolen purse and pulling out a map, tossing the money aside. She didn't care about cash. Her eyes scanned the map hungrily.

"A Navy warship... they'll be docking soon. Perfect."

That's when she noticed Luffy leaning on the wall, smiling.

"Hey there," he said.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Luffy. Wanna be our navigator?"

She blinked, stunned. "Excuse me?"

Zoro caught up, frowning. "We're not hiring thieves."

Nami scowled. "I'm not interested in joining some no-name pirate crew."

"I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!"

She laughed. "Yeah, okay. Good luck with that, idiot."

But her eyes lingered on Luffy's carefree smile.

Later, Nami tricked a group of Marines into thinking Luffy was a wanted criminal. They chased him across rooftops while she escaped with stolen navigation tools. But to her surprise, Luffy returned the next morning—grinning, bruised, and holding the very map she wanted.

"Here. Thought you dropped this."

"Why... why would you bring this back?"

"You said you needed it, right?"

Her heart thumped once.

"You're a fool," she muttered.

But the warmth in her chest didn't fade.

"If you want my help," she said finally, "there's something you need to know. I hate pirates."

"That's okay," Luffy said. "I still want you on my crew."

And for the first time, Nami hesitated.

Kaito stopped typing. His fingers hovered over the keys for a few seconds before he let out a breath.

He had done it again. Another piece of the puzzle laid into place.

Nami—clever, fierce, vulnerable beneath the surface.

He smiled and hit upload.

Kaito read through the comments, chuckling softly. It was almost surreal—seeing readers fall in love with these characters just like he had years ago.

He rubbed his eyes. The sun was beginning to rise.

But something was different this time.

He noticed a comment pop up at the very bottom—an account name he hadn't seen before.

@Scarlet_Ink:

"Fufu~ This story is far more intriguing than I expected. You have my attention now, Mr. Kaito."

His eyes narrowed.

The profile had no photo, no details—just that strange little laugh at the beginning.

"Fufu...?"

He leaned back in his chair.

A chill ran down his spine.

"Who the hell...?"

Outside, the morning birds chirped. But Kaito had a feeling something else had just begun.
