The Trap
Aria Pov
My heart skipped a beat as a shiver ran down my spine. The threats were getting bolder, someone definitely didn't like my stay here.
I moved to the closet to get a new dress. "I will definitely get to the bottom of this, I just needed to talk to that man".
" My lady, where are you going"...Nelly asked.
"To the dungeon, i need to speak to him"
"But my lady Alpha Alexander won't be happy when he hears about it, please don't go".... Nelly replied begging me not to leave.
But I couldn't.
And I wouldn't.
I opened the door hurrying down the corridors as I went to the dungeon. Luckily no guard was on duty…which was weird.
I went to the rebel's cell,"Why did you do it?" I whispered, my voice cracking with emotion.
He looked up, a smirk spreading across his face. "Hey, Luna."
I gritted my teeth, my eyes blazing with anger. "Why did you try to...to..." I couldn't bring myself to say the words.
He chuckled, his hair falling across his face as he moved closer. "Did you come from your room just for me, Luna?" he whispered, his breath hot against my ear. "You do know it's nighttime, right?"
I shoved him away, my heart racing. "Why did you do it?" I demanded, my voice rising.
He shrugged, his smirk still plastered on his face. "Do you mean why I spoiled your plan of committing treason? It's because I care…I care about you."
My eyes narrowed. He was lying. "What do you want?" I spat, my anger boiling over.
He leaned in, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Simple...I want the Luna of Silver Moon Pack."
I stared at him in anger, what the hell was he spewing out.
I needed to control my emotions.
I took a step back adjusting my hood as I turned to leave.
"Whats happening" a familiar voice rang out.
Someone was here.
I looked around trying to figure out my escape.
"Aria is that you?" The voice spoke again. But clearer this time.
It was Alex.
Speechless, I gulped down my words in fear as I turned to face him. "Alex I—"
He stared at me as the words struggled to leave me.
"why are you doing this Aria"...his voice softening, but I could definitely see the pain in his eyes.
He was waiting for answers.
Answers I couldn't give, atleast not now.
"You don't have an answer Aria?" Alex asked again as he walked slowly towards me.
"well I do have an answer" the rebel spoke up, his eyes glinting with excitement.
He was up to something. Something not good.
I arch my eyebrows in confusion as the rebel turned to Alex.. .."you know I have a special relationship with Luna here" a smile escaped his lips "and I must say she's beautiful".
Alex walked towards him furious…"What did you just say?"
"That she's beautiful?" He said it again provoking Alex.
I walked towards Alex trying to calm him down. "Alex please dont—". But he didn't listen only shoving me aside.
"what's wrong Luna, don't you want him to know about our relationship and your plan of treason?" the rebel turned towards me a smile on his face as Alex punched him on the face.
I stood there my feet rooted to the ground as I watched both of them. The rebel was trying to cause a scene but Alex didn't seem to care.
After my act of treason was finally exposed, I stared at Alex trying to explain the situation…but it didn't seem like he was willing to listen.
The guards had come back for their shift, Alex is furious and the spectators were hiding in the corner watching the scene unfold.
Alex walked towards me as I moved backwards in fear, his hands in the air as a slap landed on my cheek.
"Aria Costivo, you are here by relieved from your position as the Luna of my pack and you would be therefore sent to the cold yard dungeon to wait for further punishment"
A gasp escaped my lips as I stared at Alex in disbelief. I wasn't even given a chance to explain myself.
Alex left leaving the guards to take care of me. I was sent to my cell to be tied up while I waited for further punishments.
I pulled my legs up to rest my head for a while, before a shadow caught my eye.
Someone was here.
I stood up walking forward as a white envelope caught my attention.
I opened it staring at the words : "Goodbye Luna."
Squeezing the letter in hand as I remember the incidence that just happened.
It was a trap.
A trap from the enemy.
And I fell deeply.
