The sky turns a golden hue as the sun slowly rises. Birds chirp as they fly about. and tree leaves rustle. With that, a new day begins with either new opportunities or dangers.
As sunlight streamed through the curtain gaps onto Liam's face. He opens his eyes slowly and adjusts to the new reality once more.
So it was not a dream after all, Liam muttered with a small smirk on the corner of his eyes.
He soon got ready and went out.
But as he emerged from his quarters, he heard two voices: "My lord," one gentle and melodic, the other resolute.
Liam's eyes were twitching at the corner, but he nodded his head calmly in return.
"Gosh, they startled me for a second. Why did they gather before my quarters this early in the morning?" Liam pondered.
Do you need anything? Liam asked.
No, my lord, we are here to escort you, said Henry.
He shows his acknowledgment by nodding.
Liam strode forward as Emma and Henry tailed him.
By the time Liam, Emma, and Henry had stepped out.
Noah had assembled the other subordinates near the lord's residence.
Upon meeting his gaze, they all bowed.
"Damn, I still can't get used to their bowing at all." Liam thought
Again nodding slightly, he shows his acknowledgment.
Then he headed towards the summoning gate.
***
"Host, current available troop types."
- warrior
- Scout
- Archer
Choose wisely.
He used today's ten sports to summon ten new subordinates.
Soon ten new subjects walked out of the summoning gate.
Five battle-hardened warriors, their eyes gleaming with unbridled confidence. The remaining five, however, walked out in silence, silently confident, and carrying bows.
Soon, 10 new subjects knelt before Liam.
Upon reviewing their profile. "All of them are of D-rank, as anticipated," Liam stated.
My subject's loyalty is still below 60. I must find a way to raise it quickly. However, now is not the time for that.
He has twenty D-rank tokens that he gained from yesterday's hunt.
Host, do you want to fuse the twenty D-rank tokens?
"Yes," said Liam with calm.
D-rank tokens x 20 --> C-rank tokens x 2
Now it's time for his territory to welcome its first C-rank.
So Liam commanded Noah and Henry to step forward.
"My lord." They step forward with a shift motion.
"Henry and Noah, you both have a talent for leadership, so I want you to lead your units."
Saying that Liam took out two C-rank tokens covered in ancient runes that were long forgotten by time. glowed with otherworldly light.
Host, your subject Henry's loyalty has reached 65.
Host, your subject Noah's loyalty has reached 70.
"What?" Liam was surprised.
"He realized that by trusting his subordinates and helping them grow stronger, their loyalty toward him would naturally increase."
Host, do you want to use a C-rank token on your subjects, Noah and Henry?
"Yes," said Liam with curiosity.
Soon the token flickered in Liam's hand and rushed toward them.
The runes on the token came to life and curled their way around their bodies like snakes, bathing them in a dazzling light.
Liam and other subjects covered their eyes.
Two figures stood there radiating a powerful aura as the light dimmed.
With their newfound strength, they could easily defeat ten D-rank fighters apiece.
Henry, in lightweight armor, had long silver hair to his waist. His eyes grew sharper. He held the silver bow in his hand.
Meanwhile, Noah's in metal armor, with long red hair like River's to his waist and a hint of wildness at the corners of his eyes.
He appeared to have just returned from a brutal battleground.
Seeing them, Liam's eyes shine brighter with awe and desire.
He clicked on their profile.
