## Chapter 69: Little Shara's Fear
Humming a tune with no discernible meaning, I turned left and right, getting lost countless times, finally finding Lars's detestable capitalist building. Yet, my heart felt a little uneasy, afraid of hearing bad news. They were my only friends now.
"Knock, knock, knock..."
After hesitating for a few steps at the door, I finally walked up and knocked. I was a civilized person; how could I be as rude as that Barbarian Doug, just pushing the door open and walking in?
"Uncle Lars, are you home? It's Wu Fan, I'm back from my Trial."
In a moment, the door opened a Crevice, and a cute pink head peeked out from inside. Who else could it be but my Little Angel, Sha La?
"Little Shara, it's me, your Big Brother!"
I put on what I thought was my most amiable expression and said with a smile to Little Shara.
Sha La stared at me blankly for a moment, then a trace of... fear suddenly flashed in her Gaze????
With a "bang", the door was tightly shut. I was completely stunned. What was going on? We were so close last time. Even though we hadn't seen each other for almost half a year, she shouldn't have this kind of attitude.
In a moment, the door opened again. It was Auntie Shari who opened it. When she saw me, she was stunned for a moment, then exclaimed in a surprised tone.
"Oh my god, dear Wu, you're finally back! You've been gone for half a year, we were so worried." She quickly welcomed me in, carefully patting the dust off my Clothes as she did so.
"Auntie Shari, where are Lars and the others? Are they alright?" At crucial moments, I never beat around the bush and asked directly. As soon as the words left my mouth, I found my own breath catching in my throat, staring intently at Auntie Shari, afraid of hearing any bad News from her.
Seeing my nervous Appearance, Auntie Shari couldn't help but chuckle, then gently stroked my Hair which had reached my shoulders.
"Don't worry, the three of them came back safely several months ago. But after staying for a while, they went out again."
"Oh, I see, that's good. I knew those three were as tough as Fallen, impossible to kill..." I completely relaxed and burst into laughter.
"Look at you, child." Auntie Shari rolled her eyes at me and welcomed me into the House to sit down.
It was then that I noticed Little Shara hiding behind Auntie Shari's backside, gripping her Clothes tightly, carefully examining me from behind Shali as if she didn't recognize me.
"Sha La, it's me, your Big Brother! Don't you recognize me? I told you interesting stories half a year ago."
Little Shara timidly showed half her face, glanced at me, and immediately shrank back.
Why was this happening? I felt a bit depressed. Over the past half year, with my inner longing and subtle influence, I had almost truly come to treat Little Shara as my Fiancée. Seeing her like this now, it seemed my efforts were like a river of spring water flowing east, all for naught.
Since I knew Lars and the others had overcome their difficulties, I could finally relax. My purpose in coming here had been achieved. After eating Auntie Shari's delicious dinner, although she tried hard to make me stay, seeing Little Shara's timid Gaze when she looked at me, I no longer had the mood to stay. My heart was utterly depressed. Was Love truly such a luxury in this world, not even leaving me a tiny bit of hope?
I left the Lar Family's House almost with a gloomy face, returned to the inn, and collapsed onto the bed, feeling depressed.
The next day, I got up early, planning to go to Akara's Place. Unexpectedly, she wasn't home. That made sense; as the head of the Rogue Encampment, how could she be so idle? I waited near her small Tent until almost noon before she finally returned.
"Lady Akara, hello."
"Oh dear, I'm sorry, you must have waited a long time, haven't you? A few new Class Changers were born today, and I, this old woman, had to preside over the Ritual. An entire morning just flew by." Akara said with a smile when she saw me.
"Lady Akara, please don't mind. I just arrived myself. Besides, it's just a small matter; how could it delay your work?" I immediately replied respectfully.
Chatting with Akara as we walked inside, I took out the Demon Core that Charsi had selected and gave it to Akara. In return, I exchanged it for a large pile of things from her, including dozens of Town Portal Scrolls. These things were treasures; the more, the better. There were also some dissolving potions and antidotes. Finally, Akara felt it wasn't enough and even brought out a large jar of Clear Spirit Water Essence for me. This wasn't the Spirit-Clearing Water I used to drink, but concentrated Essence. The usual Spirit-Clearing Water could be made by mixing this Clear Spirit Water Essence with purified water in a 1:10 ratio and boiling it.
"I heard your harvest from this Trial was quite good; you even had extra Equipment to sell at Charsi's." After I finished packing everything, Akara suddenly said with a smile.
My heart skipped a beat. Although I knew I couldn't hide anything from her eyes, I didn't expect that she would know so quickly, considering I had only gone to Charsi's place yesterday.
Without waiting for my reply, Akara continued.
"Actually, I don't approve of Advanced Class Changers selling Equipment to newcomers. I remember telling you before that the purpose of the First World is mainly to train new Class Changers. If they can buy a large amount of Equipment from the start, it loses the meaning of training."
I nodded, agreeing with Akara's Statement in my heart. It was true that newcomers shouldn't get Equipment from the beginning. Earning it through their own efforts would make them cherish it more. Of course, there was also a slightly petty Idea mixed in – when I went on my Trial, I only had a Wooden Club...
"However, that little bit of Equipment isn't much, and it can even stimulate competition among the newcomers. Fine, if you want to sell in the future, take it to Charsi's. Charsi is also a poor child; it's good if it can slightly alleviate the Pressure in her heart. But it's limited to just you, and the Equipment can only be Normal Grade. Otherwise, I, this old woman, will be scolded by those other old guys. Young man, you wouldn't make things difficult for this poor old woman, would you?"
Watching Akara pretend to be pitiful with a smile, I almost couldn't help but laugh. However, after carefully Pondering her words, I suddenly broke out in a Cold Sweat. A terrifying thought suddenly surfaced in my Brain – could Charsi's Hammer actually be Akara's doing?
But thinking about it, Akara was actually thinking for the Rogue Encampment. It could be said that her entire life was selflessly dedicated to the Rogue Encampment. Even if this were true, although the Method was a bit excessive, how could anyone bear to blame her? Alas...
"Lady Akara, do you have a relatively quiet Training Ground here?"
My main purpose for coming back this time was to put my idea of using Ghost Wolves for Airdrop Encirclement into practice, and also to train my Elemental Skills. I didn't expect to achieve Optimization immediately; as long as I could use them with Proficiency, even slightly reducing the casting time would be considered achieving my expected goal. Like archery, these things couldn't be achieved overnight. I wasn't arrogant enough to think I was a genius to that Extent.
"Practice Skills?" Akara looked at me with confusion. Generally speaking, only Sorceresses would specifically practice Skills on the Training Ground because their Mana recovers relatively quickly. For other Classes, the main place to practice Skills was still the Battlefield.
"Yes." Seeing Akara's confusion, I took out a Slightly Blue Potion from my Inventory and tossed it in the air. "Although a Druid's mana recovery Speed is indeed very slow, I have this."
I had no Plan/Intention of hiding this from Akara. Yes, my greater Advantage compared to other Class Changers was that I had thousands of mana potions in my Inventory available for consumption. This allowed me to luxuriously use mana potions to practice Skills, just like a spell-spamming cheat in a game. Moreover, I had a +3 Warmth Orb in my hand: increasing mana recovery Speed by 54%, which greatly shortened my Mana recovery time. It was practically tailor-made for spamming spells.
Akara stared at the Slightly Blue Potion in my hand in astonishment for a while before shaking her head with a wry smile. "Wu, you truly are... sigh, never mind. As the saying goes, extraordinary people do extraordinary things. I, this old woman, can't manage that much anymore. Here, take this." With that, she handed me a Key.
"What is this?"
"This is the Key to the Church Door in the Rogue Encampment. It's usually empty inside and only used when there's a major event requiring prayer, so no one should go there to disturb you." Akara shook her head and handed the Key to me.
"Behind the Church, there's a large open space. You can mess around as you please. For a Druid's Skills, unless you're casting Destroying Heaven and Earth, it should be large enough. I must state beforehand, you absolutely cannot intentionally damage the Church, or it won't be something that can be settled with just Money." Akara gave me a light glance.
"Haha... how could I? I'm not that kind of person." I laughed heartily. Damn it, I forgot that Akara could easily see through people's thoughts...
Holding the Key, I bid farewell to Akara and followed her instructions, walking out from the East Gate of the Rogue Encampment. When I reached the East Gate exit, a male Rogue was already waiting to guide me. It seemed my title of Directionally Challenged had already reached Akara. What Sorrow.
The Church wasn't far from the Rogue Encampment. After walking along a quiet, cool Jungle path for a few minutes, a pure white building appeared before my eyes. The architectural style was somewhat similar to Western churches in my original world, just slightly smaller in scale, and the decoration could only be described as simple. However, it was very well maintained. It seemed this Church's Status was quite important. No wonder Akara repeatedly instructed me not to damage the Church.
Upon closer inspection, I realized the Church was surrounded by a snow-white iron railing, whose width extended unknown distances, and was about 3 meters high. In the center was a large Iron Gate, also painted off-white. No wonder Akara had to give me the Key. In front of the Door, there were two Rogue Soldiers holding Long Bows, standing Guard. They had probably already received Akara's instructions, as they didn't seem surprised by my arrival, merely giving me a slight bow.
I used the Key to open the Door, and after entering, I closed it tightly again. Following Akara's instructions, I went around the Church to the back. Indeed, what appeared before me was a large open space. There were flowerbeds, Grassland, Jungle, and even hard yellow dirt ground. I walked around the open space and found that this area was truly enormous. As long as I was careful, I believed that even the widest-range Skill, Destroying Heaven and Earth, wouldn't touch a single hair of the Chapel. Moreover, the entire open space was enclosed by the white railing I had just seen, and there were Guards at the entrance, so I didn't need to worry about anyone disturbing me.
I circled the open space several times with satisfaction. After confirming it was exactly as Akara had described, I felt relieved. With one hand, I took out the Orb from my Inventory and held it, and with the other, I took out a mana potion and drank it.
