The club was thick with velvet shadows, lit only by red-gold chandeliers and the wicked rhythm of bodies grinding under strobes. Riven leaned against the bar, drink forgotten, eyes fixed on the center of the room.
Cassian was dancing with someone else.
Not just anyone—him. Silas. The man who once nearly ruined Riven's soul.
Riven's jaw clenched. Ice clawed up his spine, fury swirling with a sharp, possessive ache. The sight was poison and temptation, Cassian's hand low on Silas's waist, Silas smirking like he already won.
He knew exactly what they were doing.
Riven slammed his glass down. The moment Cassian locked eyes with him, the heat between them reignited like a shot of kerosene.
Cassian excused himself from Silas with a knowing smile, weaving through the crowd toward Riven. His pupils were blown wide, his mouth still wet, and that damn aura of dominance clung to him like perfume.
"You jealous?" he purred, sliding a hand to Riven's throat as if it belonged there.
"Do you want me to be?" Riven shot back, leaning into the grip.
Cassian's eyes darkened. "I want you wild."
They didn't make it to the car. Or the room upstairs.
Cassian shoved Riven into the back hallway, where shadows swallowed them whole. Mouths collided. Cassian bit Riven's lower lip hard enough to draw blood, and Riven responded by dragging his nails down Cassian's chest through his shirt.
"You touched him," Riven growled, voice cracking with rage. "You let him."
Cassian shoved Riven against the wall, pinning his wrists above his head. "You liked watching."
"Liar."
But his body betrayed him—rock hard, breathless, craving every second of it.
Cassian dropped to his knees, yanking Riven's pants down with zero ceremony. "Let me prove it."
The moan that escaped Riven's throat was filthy—laced with fury, pleasure, punishment. Cassian's mouth was ruthless, unforgiving, sucking and licking until Riven writhed and cursed, hips bucking uncontrollably.
Afterward, still panting, Riven dragged Cassian up by the collar and kissed him like it hurt.
"You ever touch him like that again," he warned, "I'll burn everything you love."
Cassian smirked against his lips. "You already did."
They didn't go home. They stayed in that alley, tangled in each other's rage and lust until the world disappeared.
