"Borsalino, you mentioned a new invention?" Sengoku was the first to speak.
"Where is this new invention?"
He scanned the room, spotting Leon and the little Kizaru beside him.
He recognized Leon—Kizaru had introduced him some time ago.
As for the little Kizaru, he looked somewhat familiar, but Sengoku didn't dwell on it, assuming he was just Leon companion.
"Indeed, where is it? I don't see anything" Garp chimed in, glancing around before noticing Leon and greeting him warmly.
"Hey, little Leon! Good morning!"
Leon responded politely.
Meanwhile, Vice Admiral Tsuru simply patted Leon head, while Akainu and Aokiji remained silent, their eyes searching for the humanoid weapon Kizaru had claimed could rival the Pacifistas.
But… They couldn't find it anywhere.
Just as they grew puzzled, Kizaru chuckled lightly.
"It's right here!" He pointed at the little Kizaru.
Sengoku and the others followed his gesture.
"Huh? A child?" Their expressions turned to surprise.
"How could it be a kid? And this design is so odd—it has no intimidation factor at all!" Vice Admiral Tsuru frowned.
"Wait… no, this appearance…" Sengoku eyes suddenly sharpened.
A look of realization dawned on his face.
"Is this a Lunarian?"
The brown skin, the black wings wreathed in flames—every feature pointed to the race.
"He even looks a bit like you…" Garp finally noticed the striking resemblance between the humanoid weapon and Kizaru.
"You're right. This weapon was developed using my DNA and that of the last surviving Lunarian," Kizaru explained leisurely.
"That's why it resembles my childhood appearance, combined with Lunarian traits." His words brought clarity to the group.
"I see! So how does it differ from the Pacifistas?" Garp studied it with keen interest.
"It doesn't have the lifelessness of a Pacifista—it seems more… alive."
Kizaru smiled. "Let me demonstrate." He glanced at Leon.
"Understood!" Leon nodded. "Little Kizaru! Show them!"
"Yes." The little Kizaru gave a slight nod.
Then, in rapid succession, it demonstrated laser beams, high-speed movement, superhuman strength, rapid regeneration, and flight.
One after another, the abilities left Sengoku and the others in awe.
"Impressive! While its overall power is modest, it's far more agile than the Pacifistas…" Sengoku remarked with a smile. "Though this upgrade doesn't quite meet our expectations, we still appreciate Vegapunk efforts."
Kizaru lips curled slightly as he shook his head.
"No, Fleet Admiral Sengoku. This time, it wasn't Vegapunk's work."
Earlier, he hadn't outright credited Leon to avoid preconceptions. He wanted them to see it first.
"What?" Sengoku froze.
Even Garp and the others behind him were stunned.
The craftsmanship, the precision—it was on par with the Pacifistas.
In the world of science and technology, not to mention surpassing Vegapunk, even catching up to him seems like an impossible dream!
If it wasn't developed by Vegapunk… Then who else could it be?
"It's Leon" Kizaru said nonchalantly, pointing at Leon.
"Huh? Leon invented it?!" Hearing this, Sengoku and the others were stunned, then looked at Kizaru with disbelief.
Kizaru nodded seriously.
"R-really? He invented it?" Sengoku repeated, his composure slipping, his eyes filled with shock.
Having known Kizaru for so many years, he was aware that despite his laid-back personality, Kizaru wouldn't joke about something like this…
But.
This was simply unbelievable.
Kizaru younger brother was only eight years old!
An eight-year-old child had invented a humanoid weapon comparable to the Pacifista?
What did this mean?
It meant surpassing Vegapunk, the scientist universally acknowledged as the world best, by several times in talent!
"Of course it's true!" Before Kizaru could answer, Leon piped up in his childish voice, looking rather proud.
"...This is absolutely monstrous!" Vice Admiral Tsuru exclaimed in amazement.
Sengoku, on the other hand, was still skeptical.
"Can an eight-year-old really invent something like this?"
It wasn't that he didn't want to believe it.
But this was simply too shocking.
An eight-year-old child had invented something that rivaled the research of the Navy top scientist… No one would believe it if word got out!
Yet, it was the truth!
Out of trust in Kizaru, Sengoku eventually accepted the fact.
"Remarkable. With talent like this, he might even surpass Vegapunk in the future!"
Sengoku marveled, looking at Leon as if he were a treasure.
Kizaru younger brother, Now also a member of the Navy Science Division.
In the future, he would most likely serve the Navy.
As the Fleet Admiral, Sengoku was naturally delighted to have such a prodigy join their ranks.
Garp burst into laughter. Patting little Leon on the shoulder, he beamed with approval.
"Bwahaha! Well done! You've got a bright future ahead!"
Vice Admiral Tsuru watched with a kind smile.
Kuzan, however, remained stunned, still processing the revelation.
Seeing this, Kizaru couldn't help but feel proud.
This was his own younger brother!
Seeing him receive such recognition naturally filled him with joy as an older brother. Especially since he had used his position to get Leon into the Science Division and due to Leon age, Kizaru had faced quite a bit of behind-the-scenes criticism.
Though no one said it outright, it was still an unprofessional move.
Now, all those negative remarks would vanish in the face of Leon talent!
But suddenly, Akainu spoke up. He shook his head.
"Impressive talent, but the invention itself is nothing special. It's just a Pacifista that can fly—its overall combat ability doesn't measure up to the Pacifista." He continued.
"The Navy doesn't need such flashy but useless toys!"
Kizaru glanced at him and replied thoughtfully.
"That's because the research funding was insufficient. My brother Leon only used his allowance and the limited materials he had access to. If he had enough funding…"
Akainu shook his head and interrupted.
"Who knows about this matter?"
Kizaru frowned.
Indeed, it was rather difficult to convince the Navy to invest funds based solely on a version weaker than the Pacifista.
However, Leon spoke up again at this moment.
"Everyone, actually he has two other remarkable abilities..."
