Chapter 3 - I have you surrounded

The moon hung lonely in the sky, not a star to keep it company; the light reflecting from it washed over the Dawn island. The denizens of the Goa kingdom were fast a sleep atleast all the noble ones, for pirates and bandits that infested the mountains and grey terminal never slept.

Under the watchful eye of the moon, the forest was illuminated: *crunch, crunch.* The lone footsteps of a child gliding through the forest echoed in the silent shrubbery. No animal was that bold, not when the forest had no apex predators, for in this forest everything was food – the tigers and the deer nothing escaped the circle of life as the youthful beasts feasted on the old and the strongest on the strong. This was a mecca of strength where only the strong survived and only the strong lived.

Despite the light of the moon, the secrets of this forest were still hidden in the shadows; the animals, having learnt from a very young age how to avoid detection, may see a twinkle at the corner of your eye or smell a foul odour, but only when it was too late and only when your fate was sealed would you find the source of your distress. Every creature here masked their presence, not to be seen, not to be heard, yet now every taboo was being broken, caution thrown to the wind as a single soul announced to all the denizens that he was here and he was waiting.

Who was this sole audacious enough to carry around such pride in a den of predators, a lone human child? Samael trotted through the forest without a care in the world, without a single inkling of fear, as if he had already decided he was at the top of the food chain.

"Come out, come out, future food and pelts. I'm getting bored! I yelled in frustration into the forest. I've been here for nearly an hour, having snuck out to test myself like Luffy had with the animals of this forest. Yet I couldn't find a single soul here.

Damn it, what sort of cartoony bullshit was this? Were all of them asleep already? No, this wasn't right; it was too silent and too isolated. I was in someone's territory, someone dangerous; that's why there weren't other creatures here.

Just then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a flicker of grey fur and swiftly turned to see them – dozens of yellow eyes shining through the darkness, ten to a tree, all of them getting closer and closer and closer.

They all slowly crept out of the darkness, the grey fur shining in the moonlight, the long hands hanging low, knuckles brushing the grass; these were gorillas. At least a hundred of them.

It seems I have them surrounded, exactly as planned. "You lot, you're living on my land; time to pay rent." Dozens of them jumped from trees, crashing down right in front of me, the ground splitting and shattering from the force of their descent.

"OOOOOAHAOAHAOAH!" A chaotic cacophony reverberated through the forest.

The gorillas started to beat their chests in anger. Wait, could they understand what I said, like the Kung Fu Dugongs. The beating grew louder and louder until it instantly stopped. All of them fell dead silent and began to scatter, opening a path in the middle. A towering gorilla moved forward; he must be the Alpha.

"So do you have my money, or am I gonna have to evict you like a single mother of five after Christmas?" The beast roared as he charged me, the ground trembling at every step he took.

He wound back his fist and bought it crashing towards my face, my hand instantly moving to catch it, having transformed, the skin hardened and twisted into something resembling twisted molten rocks it shinned with an obsidian sheen, a crimson crust formed above the hardened skin, jagged and rough, the scales a second plate of armour covering everything on the top to the knuckles; the fingers shifted into obsidian talons bending a raptor's talons.

From my back, emerged a set of large coal-coloured wings ; the feathers glistening in the moonlight. The wings were similar to ravens. They dwarfed my body, even whilst folded the tips of the feathers touched the grass.

Thus I'd entered my hybrid form. "Hemp -you're much prettier than the others. Your parents must have been cousins, not siblings like the rest of your troop" I said, my fist clenched tightening my grip on his hand; holding him in place.

I pulled back my right hand and smashed into his chest the bones cracked, crumbled and caved splitting due to the force the skin broke, blood gushed splattering all over my face.

My hand impaled the alpha; fingers ripping apart the organs and muscles like tissue paper. My hand emerges from its back. I had just made a gorilla doughnut, step aside Akainu your bakery just got some competition.

I liked this, not using a sword made me feel better. Won't have the World Strongest Leech getting upscaled cause of my feats earn em, yourself you bum. I'm an actual haki man, ignore my lack of haki right now though.

I looked at all the other gorillas standing in awe "Like I said, I have you surrounded so let's dance, filthy monkeys."
