Alexander and Lyanna walked around the Biltmore garden, and Lyanna noticed how beautiful the gardens are.
"Wow, the gardens look so beautiful, Alexander," she said as she continued to look around at the different flowers.
Alexander, looking at Lyanna with an amazed look on his face, said, "I agree with you one hundred percent on that one, Lyanna. It's definitely a beautiful place. That's for sure. I know I enjoy waking up every morning and being able to look out on the beautiful scenery. I know that all of the hard work that we do here. Definitely makes the difference."
"I agree with you; this place is definitely worth it. That's for sure." Lyanna is looking around at all of the different things that make Biltmore special.
Alexander, looking at Lyanna with a curious expression, said, "Shall we continue our tour around the estate?"
Lyanna, looking at Alexander with excitement, said, "Yes, please."
Alexander and Lyanna continued the tour around the grounds. Then Alexander's phone begins to ring.
Alexander was talking into the phone with a nervous tone in his voice when he realized it was Angela calling. "Hey, Angela. Is everything alright in the catacombs?"
Angela, talking into the phone with the enthusiastic tone in his voice, said, "Hey, Alexander, can you come down to the catacombs?"
Alexander wondered what was going on. "Yes, of course. Is everything alright down there? Did something happen?"
"Yes. We managed to open one of the corridors in the catacombs," Angela said with a proud tone in her voice.
"Wait, you guys managed to open one of the corridors in the catacombs?" With a shocked look on Alexander's face.
Angela, talking in a happy tone in here, said, "Yes, we did, and you need to come and see what we found."
"I and our new coworker Lyanna will be there in about fifteen minutes." With a serious tone in his voice.
"Wait, I thought Lyanna wasn't starting until next week?" With a caught-off-guard tone in her voice.
Alexander, shaking his head at Angela's tendency to yell, said, "No, Angela. Lyanna starts today. Not next week."
"My apologies, Alexander. I got my dates mixed up." Angela in an apologizing tone.
Alexander, talking in an understanding tone, said, "It's alright, Angela. It happens. But I and Lyanna should be down there in about fifteen minutes or so."
"Okay, sounds good. See you then." Angela is talking in an agreeable tone.
Then Alexander hung up the phone.
"Hey, Lyanna, How would you like to come down to the catacombs with me? An experience of what we really do here on the estate?" Alexander said, looking at Lyanna with pride in his voice.
"Sure, I would love to," with an optimistic tone in Lyanna's voice.
"Excellent. Let's go," with an optimistic tone in his voice.
"Sounds like a good plan to me. Lead the way, Alexander," with an excited tone in Lyanna's voice.
Alexander, looking at Lyanna with a happy look, said, "You got it. Let's go."
Alexander and Lyanna make their way into Biltmore House.
"Angela, are you down here?" Alexander yelled down into the catacombs.
Angela yelled back down the catacombs, "I'm right down here, Alexander. I'm about two corridors down to the right.
Alexander yelled back down to Angela, "Ok, we'll be right there."
They made their way down the catacombs and then entered into the corridor where Angela was located.
"Hey, Angela. Well done in getting this corridor opened." Alexander looked at Angela with a proud look on his face.
"Thank you, Alexander." Angela is looking at Alexander with a smile on her face.
"You're welcome." With a sincere tone in his voice.
Then Angela saw a young lady right next to Alexander.
"You must be Lyanna. My name is Angela Veer. I work alongside Alexander in the restoration and research department here on the estate." Angela extended her hand out to Lyanna in greeting.
"It's an honor to meet you, Angela. I'm looking forward to working with you and learning everything that I can from you." Shaking Angela's hand with positivity behind it.
"I look forward to working with you, Lyanna. Shaking Lyanna back in acceptance.
Alexander, happy with how both Lyanna and Angela are getting along, moves on to the task at hand. "Now that we've got the pleasantries out of the way. Angela, have you managed to find anything so far?"
Angela having a focused look "Well, so far I've found something that you're never going to believe."
"Try me," he said, looking at Angela with a serious look on his face.
Angela, looking at Alexander with confidence, "do you remember the rumor that has been floating around Biltmore Estate for the last one hundred years?"
Alexander, then looking at Angela with a realization look on his face, said, "Wait, are you talking about the rumor about George Vanderbilt?" My ancestor was married twice in his life. That rumor?
Angela, looking at him with a matter-of-fact face "Yes, that rumor."
Alexander, with a hesitant look on his face, said, "Wait, are you telling me that you've found proof that he was married twice in his life?"
She looked at him with a confident smile, "Yes, I did."
He said, "What did you find out, Angela?"
"His first wife's name was Natalia Horta Vanderbilt. Her birth date is unknown. She and George got married on January 3, 1870, at Asheville Cathedral. They were married for three years." She talked with an intelligent voice.
Lyanna, with a questionable look on her face, "why were they married for only three years?"
Angela had a look on her face indicating that she was hiding something.
Alexander, talking to Angela with a serious voice, said, "What are you not telling us, Angela?"
Angela, talking with a nervous tone, said, "Well, this next thing that I'm going to tell you… You're not going to believe."
Alexander, looking at Angela with a try me look.
"Well, it turns out George and Natalia had a son together." She said in a calm tone of voice.
Alexander, looking at Angela with a shocked expression on his face, said, "Wait, did you just say that George and his first wife, Natalia, had a son together during their first three years of marriage?"
With a calm look on her face, Angela said, "That is correct. They did, in fact, have a son together during their first three years of marriage."
Alexander, talking in a hesitant voice, said, "What was their son's name?"
