What I saw confirmed my doubts and left me shocked. They were pictures of Greek gods and titans, the pictures of the War. There were also many messages carved on the wall in ancient Greek. As I started to read them I was taken aback by the words. The temple, it didn't have just any sort of messages carved on its walls but they were all the Old and New Prophecies. It also had the great prophecy about the child of one of the great three gods written on it and it also had the recent great prophecy told by Rachael carved on it.
B-BUT HOW? I thought. Suddenly one of the wizards spoke up,"I think there is only one person in particular who can help us with this problem."
"And who can that be, Kai?" Hermione asked the wizard named Kai
"PERCY JACKSON"Kai replied
I flinched at the name he mentioned," Wait a minute. What do you even know about him? And how?" I asked my voice unnaturally calm and steady but firm
"I just heard that he is the son of some sort so a Greek god and has saved the world many times." Kai said calmly
"And what makes you believe that's true?" I asked trying to act all cool
"If magic, witches and wizards are true so could be those Greek gods" Kai said like it was the most obvious thing
"Oooooookay. So where to find this Percy guy?" Hermione asked trying to ease the tension
Don't know. He can be anywhere in this world right now and we don't have much information about him or this Greek mythology thing" Kai said making a face. Why does he have to make that face I thought to myself. And how does he even know about Percy? How much could he and the others know?
I was caught between the whirlwind of these thought when I felt presence of a familiar figure coming nearer. And as the presence got stronger the door suddenly swung open and a boy same as my age stood at the door way.
"Thank the gods I found you Gwen" He said and pulled me in a warm hug. And for a brief moment a sense of relief and safety spread all over me. I felt secured in his hands. But then I parted away or to be specific I pushed him away slightly surprised by the sudden occurance.
"What are you doing here Perseus?" I exclaimed annoyed. Here I was trying to make every one believe he doesn't exist and hide our connections.
"Oh yeah....um...uh...that.....I just came to find you dear sis." He replied
Yeah that's right this is my brother Perseus Jackson or in short Percy. The center of discussion and the son of Poseidon, the god of seas. So let me introduce myself properly. I am the daughter of Poseidon, to be exact I am a demigod. I have also studied wizardry and witch crafts alongside the others.
I left a deep sigh and asked with a firm voice,"BUT WHY? PERSEUS."
"It is because...that I.....um....uh...I...." He blurted out
"YOU WHAT?" I almost shouted
He flinched at my question and then said," I was worried about you- he said and looked at me with concern stretched all over his face and then immediately covered it with- And I needed your help in some important matters."
His words embarrassed me a little as I sensed the sincerity in his words. It made a small smile appear on my face and seeing me a huge grin spread across his face as he rushed his hand through his hairs. We both stood there looking at eachother unaware of our surrounding.When suddenly...
Hermione brook the silence and uncomfortably asked,"Well...um..Who is this boy Gwen?"
"He is the one I was talking about. Percy Jackson" Kai said dumbfounded. Thanks a lot Kai I thought sarcastically
"Wait.What? This is Percy Jackson? And you know him Gwen?"😱 Hermione asked
I and Percy exchanged glances as I used telepathy to explain everything to him. His thoughts were cautious and confident.
"We can't let them know much about our family. We should try to hide as much as we can." I thought
"I don't think we can call the gods our family though you are right. We must hide as much as possible. And we still don't know if they can see through the mist or not."Percy thought and before disconnecting I filled him up with all the information.
I faced Hermione and admitted," Yeah I know him." But before I could say anything else Percy interrupted
"We have met each other a few times before. She is sort of my.....uh....Allie and friend." He said and I just nodded. Actually I was gonna say a far away relative but fine a friend will do it.
"So why did you say that whatever I told about the Greek mythology wasn't true? Hmmmm Gwen?" Kai asked skepetically.
I was thinking about an excuse to tell them when Kai suddenly moved closer to me like very much close, our faces were only inches apart.I was so much shocked by this and many thoughts were running in my mind. Why Kai the person I just met would do something like this? What is the problem of this guy? I can't help but look at his mesmerizing eyes they were so gorgeous. For a moment I felt like the whole world had stopped rotating. Time has frozen and there no one else except us in the room.
"So answer me Gwen." He said moving slowly more closer to my face. My breathing became heavy when suddenly someone grabbed Kai from the back pushed him to the ground.
"DON'T YOU DARE GO NEAR HER" 😠Percy shouted.Standing in between me and Kai facing him.
"I am sorry for Kai's behavior." Hermione said bowing down in guilt as some other wizards went to help Kai up. But Percy wasn't getting any calmer.
I grabbed his hand from behind and turned to face me. After seeing me his expressions became calm. He looked at me with concern.
" Are you alright." He asked
"Yeah Percy don't worry. And you shouldn't get angry so easily." I said to him as I pulled his ear with force and made him cry in pain. Then I left him rubbing his ear and went to Kai
"I am sorry for Percy's behavior. He can sometimes be...um....impatient." I said to Kai
"Impatient you say hmm?"Kai asked mockingly and then with a deep sigh he said, "By the way I am the one who should be sorry for what I did right now. I am sorry Gwen, please forgive me."
I looked at his guilty face and felt sad. "It's fine. There's nothing to forgive you for because I am not angry" I said calmly
"Gwen" Hermione said
"Yes?" I asked
" Do you think Percy might help us with the temple thing and that portals." She asked hesitantly. I looked at Percy and he sensed it and came towards us.
"What's the matter?" He asked me
"We were thinking if you can help us with our research." Hermione asked. Taking Percy's silence for a yes she continued, " so you see we are coming across some kind of magical traits but can't go anywhere near it....." Before she can complete her sentence Percy interrupted
" Yeah..Yeah I know the details but why do you need my help? You don't know the consequences of keeping a demigod with you" Percy said in an unfriendly tone and with a smirk. Every one in the room turned silent so I decided to ease the tension but before I can say a thing I felt a dark presence coming nearer to us and I turned towards Percy but his face suggested he sensed it too.
Before we both could react the wall behind us shattered into a million pieces. We both took our pens out and uncapped it reveling our swords. We knew we both were at the aim of that.....
